L’acquario CAYMAN OPEN e la relativa plafoniera ARCLIGHT sono stati realizzati secondo la filosofia Ferplast, fatta di sicurezza, stile, innovazione e qualità. L’acquario CAYMAN OPEN è stato concepito per la vostra soddisfazione e la salute dei pesci che abiteranno il vostro piccolo mondo subacqueo. Allestirlo e gestirlo sarà facile e divertente. Bastano pochi minuti di manutenzione ogni mese per mantenere l’acquario in perfetta efficienza. La plafoniera ARCLIGHT garantirà al vostro acquario la migliore luce, assicurando un design estremamente elegante. CAYMAN OPEN e ARCLIGHT sono già forniti di tutto il necessario per funzionare nel migliore dei modi; ogni componente è omologato e conforme alle relative norme internazionali di sicurezza.

AVVERTENZE

Nonostante Ferplast usi silicone di alta qualità, durante la manutenzione del Vostro acquario Vi raccomandiamo di:

• non danneggiare il silicone con forbici, pinze, spazzole o raschietti.

• non usare detergenti, solventi o prodotti chimici (anticalcare, prodotti ammoniacali, ecc…) per pulire il vetro, in quanto potrebbero aggredire il silicone generando un distacco (anche a distanza di tempo).

• se applicate degli sfondi, evitate di usare adesivi o nastri adesivi nelle vicinanze del silicone.

INOLTRE

• Veri ficate sem pre con una boll a che l’acquario sia a ppoggiato su u na superf icie perfettamente piana e regolare nei due sensi (lunghezza e profondità), per non causare rotture del vetro o perdita di aderenza del silicone.

• Il pavimento (3) dovrà essere in grado di sostenere il peso complessivo del supporto (2) e della vasca (1) allestita (compresi acqua, fondo e arredi).

• La garanzia del prodotto decade in caso di uso non conforme alle indicazioni ed avvertenze qui presenti.

MOLTO IMPORTANTE

AVVERTENZE PRELIMINARI

Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione, vi preghiamo di leggere attentamente le indicazioni di seguito riportate per la vostra sicurezza e per prevenire danni all’acquario:

• Assicuratevi che il voltaggio indicato sull’apparecchio corrisponda a quello della rete di alimentazione.

• Questo prodotto è destinato all’uso interno.

• Accertatevi che la vostra abitazione sia protetta a monte da un interruttore differenziale salvavita con corrente di intervento non superiore a 30mA.

• Non collegate il prodotto alla rete di alimentazione prima di aver completato tutte le operazioni di installazione (compreso il riempimento della vasca dell’acquario).

• Scollegate l’apparecchio dalla rete di alimentazione prima di operare qualsiasi attività di manutenzione.

• Collegate le spine alla rete lasciando un’ansa nel cavo, più bassa rispetto alla presa, per evitare che gocce d’acqua possano raggiungere la rete di alimentazione (A).

• Ricordate che il grado di protezione all’acqua e alle polveri è garantito solo a lampade inserite e ghiere perfettamente serrate.

• La lampada non deve mai essere in alcun modo sommersa.

• Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato deve essere sostituito l’intero apparecchio.

• Qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione straordinaria deve essere eseguita da personale qualificato (Importante: per

personale qualificato si intende una persona qualificata iscritta all’albo degli installatori, per manutenzione straordinaria si intende un qualsiasi tipo di manutenzione non contemplato nei paragrafi ‘Manutenzione della plafoniera ARCLIGHT’ e ‘Manutenzione dell’acquario CAYMAN OPEN’).

• Non estraete mai il riscaldatore dall’acqua quando esso è collegato alla rete elettrica. Prima di rimuoverlo dalla sua sede, sconnettetelo e lasciatelo in sede a raffreddare per almeno 5 minuti.

• Controllate periodicamente che le griglie di entrata del filtro non siano mai completamente occluse.

COLLOCAZIONE DELL’ACQUARIO

• Disponete l’acquario su un supporto solido, con un piano di appoggio liscio e regolare.

Vi consigliamo i mobili Ferplast, già dimensionati e progettati per l’acquario CAYMAN OPEN.

• Ponete l’acquario in una zona interna non colpita dalla luce diretta del sole (può comportare surriscaldamento e proliferazione di alghe), distante da fonti di calore (es.: termosifoni) e di aria fredda.

• Ponete l’acquario distante da apparecchiature elettriche danneggiabili da spruzzi d’acqua.

Plafoniere ARCLIGHT

All’interno della confezione troverete:

• n°1 plafoniera ARCLIGHT, completa di lampade a fluorescenza;

• n°2 staffe regolabili complete di viti di fissaggio e gommini;

• n°2 inserti per fissaggio a soffitto o su acquari STAR.

Verificate l’integrità di tutti i componenti. Nonostante Ferplast usi imballi sicuri e controlli individualmente ogni prodotto, vi consigliamo di verificare l’assenza di danneggiamenti accidentali avvenuti durante il trasporto, lo stoccaggio e la vendita, che potrebbero avere compromesso la funzionalità.

CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE

STAFFE

Le plafoniere ARCLIGHT sono complete di 2 staffe (C/1) in policarbonato particolarmente resistenti e dal design raffinato. Entrambe sono regolabili da 0 a 8 cm, consentendo una estrema flessibilità nell’utilizzo sui più svariati modelli di acquario. Entrambe le staffe sono provviste di viti e gommini di fissaggio e sono adatte a vetri di spessore fino a 15 mm.

LAMPADE

Tutte le plafoniere ARCLIGHT sono complete di lampade fluorescenti, parabole riflettenti e portalampada a tenuta stagna. Per offrire a pesci e piante la migliore luce, scegliete tra le lampade SEALIFE, FRESHLIFE e TOPLIFE di Ferplast, specifiche per acquari d’acqua dolce e marina.

ALIMENTAZIONE ELETTRONICA

L’alimentazione elettronica, con lampade a pelo d’acqua e parabola riflettente, assicura una luce appropriata all’ambiente dell’acquario, nella massima sicurezza, semplicità d’uso e manutenzione. L’alimentazione elettronica delle lampade, a confronto con quella tradizionale, vi garantisce:

• risparmio energetico in accordo con la Direttiva Europea 2000/55 sull’impiego di apparecchi a basso consumo energetico;

• maggior durata delle lampade;

• luce più stabile: più simile a quella solare (non si percepisce il tipico sfarfallio dell’illuminazione tradizionale);

• luce di maggiore qualità: essa rimane costante fino quasi alla fine della vita della lampada;

• temperature più basse: l’alimentatore elettronico dissipa poco calore;

• maggior sicurezza: nel caso la lampada sia a fine vita, una sofisticata protezione elettronica toglie tensione e mette in sicurezza l’apparecchio;

• minor peso: gli alimentatori elettronici sono molto più leggeri.

INSTALLAZIONE

SOPRA LA VASCA DI UN ACQUARIO CAYMAN OPEN

• Estraete la plafoniera dall’imballo e collegate le 2 staffe, facendole scorrere lungo le guide presenti nella parte inferiore della plafoniera stessa (B).

• Regolate le 2 staffe, facendole scorrere sotto la plafoniera, in modo da poter posizionarle sopra la vasca del vostro acquario.

• Fissate la staffa alla vasca tramite le opportune viti e i gommini di fissaggio (C/4-5), cercando di posizionare la plafoniera centralmente all’acquario, in

modo da distribuire la luce in modo omogeneo.

A SOFFITTO

• Inserite gli opportuni inserti nei 2 estremi della plafoniera (C/7).

• Collegate la plafoniera al soffitto sopra l’acquario utilizzando due cordini e fissandoli agli inserti, sfruttando i fori presenti.

SOPRA LA VASCA DI UN ACQUARIO STAR

• Per aggiungere una plafoniera all’acquario STAR è necessario aprire una delle due testate laterali del coperchio dell’acquario e rimuovere il pistoncino, come indicato nel relativo manuale d’uso.

• Inserite gli opportuni inserti nei 2 estremi della plafoniera (C/6a).

• Infilate la plafoniera nelle apposite guide poste sotto al coperchio tramite le alette degli inserti (C/6b);

per inserirla, potrebbe essere necessario riposizionare anche le plafoniere già presenti.

• Richiudete poi la testata del coperchio e riposizionate il relativo pistoncino.

MANUTENZIONE

Le plafoniere ARCLIGHT, una volta installate non richiedono particolare manutenzione, se non la sostituzione delle lampade almeno annualmente, in modo da conservare uno spettro luminoso ottimale. Per la sostituzione di una lampada (C/8):

• scollegate la spina dalla presa di alimentazione;

• svitate le due ghiere a tenuta stagna del portalampada;

• sfilate la lampada ruotandola di un quarto di giro finchè le spine non si sono allineate entrambe con la fessura del portalampada;

• analogamente inserite la nuova lampada ruotandola di un quarto di giro (sentirete uno scattino);

• serrate attentamente le ghiere.

CAYMAN AQUARIUMS

Acquario CAYMAN OPEN

All’interno della confezione di un acquario CAYMAN OPEN troverete:

• n° 1 acquario CAYMAN OPEN completo di plafoniera ARCLIGHT;

• n° 1 filtro BLUEXTREME completo di materiali filtranti;

• n° 1 riscaldatore BLUCLIMA;

• n° 1 termometro;

• CD AQUARIUM SOFTWARE.

MANUTENZIONE

Le principali attività di manutenzione che vi raccomandiamo, al di là delle somministrazioni giornaliere di cibo, della sostituzione annuale delle lampade e del periodico controllo di temperatura e valori chimici, sono:

ALLESTIMENTO

• Aprite la scatola della plafoniera e fissatela sopra la vasca, come indicato nel paragrafo precedente alla voce ‘ARCLIGHT: installazione sopra la vasca di un acquario’.

• Assicuratevi che le ghiere delle lampade siano ben serrate.

• Fissate il termometro alla vasca in una posizione ben visibile.

• Arredate l’acquario secondo i vostri gusti (vi potrà aiutare e consigliare il vostro negoziante di fiducia).

• In ogni caso, se state allestendo un acquario con pesci tropicali d’acqua dolce, vi consigliamo di stendere uniformemente sul fondo un sottile strato di fertilizzante GREEN ENERGY per non più di 5 mm, da ricoprire successivamente con del ghiaietto, avendo cura di raggiungere uno spessore totale non inferiore ai 4 cm. Riempite d’acqua la vasca (consigliamo di utilizzare il 50% d’acqua di rubinetto ed il 50% di acqua demineralizzata ad uso acquario, anche se questa percentuale può variare in funzione delle caratteristiche della vostra acqua di rubinetto).

• Impostate la temperatura del riscaldatore in base alle specie di pesci e piante scelte (ad esempio, per acquari tropicali di acqua dolce, la temperatura media è di circa 25-26 °C).

• Installate il filtro alla vasca seguendo scrupolosamente le indicazioni riportate nel relativo manuale d’uso (compresa l’aggiunta delle pastiglie BLUSTART all’avvio del filtro).

• Predisponete le piante nell’acquario dopo 24h dall’inserimento dell’acqua nella vasca, in modo che la temperatura ed i valori chimici dell’acqua si siano stabilizzati.

• Vi consigliamo di illuminare l’acquario circa 8 ore al giorno: nel caso si osservi uno sviluppo eccessivo di alghe, riducete il fotoperiodo a 7 ore; nel caso le piante stentino a crescere, incrementatelo anche fino a 9 - 10 ore (consigliamo l’uso dell’opportuno timer da spina Ferplast).

• Prima di inserire i pesci dovrete aspettare 10-12 giorni, in modo che il filtro sia attivo. Vi consigliamo di verificare i parametri dell’acqua del vostro acquario con il misuratore MULTISTICK TESTER. Il vostro negoziante di fiducia potrà inoltre consigliarvi sui valori ideali di temperatur a, dure zza, ecc, in fu nzione delle sp ecie di pesci e vegetali che avete deciso di allevare nel vostro acquario. E’ opportuno ripetere il controllo con una certa frequenza. Nel momento in cui si inseriscono i pesci, aggiungete le restanti pastiglie BLUSTART in dotazione al filtro, come indicato nel relativo manuale di istruzioni.

• Durante il periodo n ecessario alla maturazione d el filtro, somministrateg li giornalmente una piccola dose di cibo secco: faciliterà la formazione della flora batterica.

• Vi consigliamo di non inserire in acquario un numero elevato di pesci sin dall’inizio, ma di raggiungere gradatamente la popolazione massima.

N.B.

Dato che questo acquario non presenta un coperchio, bisogna prestare particolare attenzione alle specie di pesci allevate; ci sono infatti alcune specie che in particolari condizioni, ad esempio forte aggressività, potrebbero saltare fuori dall’acquario. Rivolgetevi al vostro negoziante di fiducia.

1 Sifonate il fondo all’occorrenza mediante l’apposito

aspiratore BLU 9025/9027 in vendita presso il vostro negoziante di fiducia;

2 Aggiungete acqua demineralizzata (sia negli acquari

marini sia in quelli d’acqua dolce) per rimpiazzare quella evaporata non appena il livello in vasca sia eccessivamente basso;

3 Sostituite il 5-10% di acqua della vasca con acqua

demineralizzata almeno mensilmente;

4 Pulite l’esterno della vasca evitando l’utilizzo di

detergenti.

Prestate inoltre la massima attenzione a non

danneggiare il cordoncino di silicone che tiene unite le lastre di vetro;

5 Pulite l’interno della vas ca con le spazzole m agnetiche

galleggianti BLU 9031/9036/9038/9039, disponibili presso il vostro negoziante di fiducia;

6 Pulite il filtro con la frequenza e modalità indicata nel

relativo manuale d’uso.

STAND

Si consiglia l'uso degli stand Ferplast, progettati appositamente per sostenere gli acquari CAYMAN OPEN. Assicurano un supporto solido, liscio e regolare.

Piedini regolabili

NOTE

L’acquario CAYMAN OPEN è predisposto per l’allestimento di ambienti tropicali d’acqua dolce o marina. Tuttavia, la sua modularità e la grande flessibilità permetteranno sia l’allestimento di ambienti molto disparati (anche temperati, con l’aggiunta di un refrigeratore), sia l’implementazione di vari accessori (sistemi di filtraggio ad hoc, schiumatoi, sistemi CO ENERGY, fertilizzanti GREEN ENERGY, lampade di diverso spettro, ecc…). Rivolgetevi al vostro negoziante di fiducia che vi saprà fornire ogni indicazione. Il vostro negoziante di fiducia, inoltre, vi potrà consigliare nella scelta dei pesci da allevare nel vostro acquario e nella quantità, tipologia e frequenza di cibo da somministrare.

GARANZIA

Ferplast garantisce l’acquario CAYMAN OPEN e la plafoniera ARCLIGHT e tu tti i suoi comp onenti ed accessori entro i limiti previsti dalla presente clausola e dalle disposizioni di legge vigenti. La garanzia è valida unicamente per difetti di fabbricazione e comprende la riparazione o la sostituzione gratuita. La garanzia decade per danni e/o difetti provocati da incuria, usura, uso non conforme alle indicazioni ed avvertenze riportate nel presente libretto, incidenti, manomissioni, uso improprio, riparazioni errate, acquisto non comprovato dallo scontrino fiscale. Sono esclusi dalla garanzia le lampade, lo starter (se presente), le spugne ed i materiali filtranti in genere.

IMPORTANTE

Ai sensi dell’art. 13 del D.L. 25 luglio 2005 n. 151. All’interno dell’Unione Europea il simbolo del cassonetto barrato indica che il prodotto, alla  ne del suo ciclo di vita, deve essere conferito in centri di raccolta di erenziata dei ri uti elettrici ed elettronici e non può essere smaltito assieme ai ri uti solidi domestici. Per assicurare lo smaltimento corretto del prodotto, vi invitiamo a smaltirlo in conformità alle leggi vigenti nel Paese in cui il prodotto si trova.

Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte dell’utente comporta l’applicazione delle sanzioni amministrative di cui al D.Lgs n. 22/1997.

RICAMBI ED ACCESSORI

Ogni parte dell’acquario CAYMAN OPEN e della plafoniera ARCLIGHT e del relativo filtro è facilmente sostituibile. I ricambi sono disponibili presso il negozio dove avete acquistato l’acquario. Sono inoltre disponibili numerosi accessori Ferplast, continuamente aggiornati, utili per adeguare l’acquario alle più svariate esigenze. Per la sostituzione di qualsiasi componente e garantire sempre la massima funzionalità e sicurezza del vostro prodotto, è necessario utilizzare solo ricambi originali ferplast. Il montaggio di ricambi non originali rende nulla la garanzia.

The CAYMAN OPEN aquariums and the relative ARCLIGHT lamp were created according to the Ferplast philosophy comprised of safety, style, innovation and quality. The CAYMAN OPEN aquariums were designed for your satisfaction and the health of the fishes that will inhabit your little underwater world. Setting it up and taking care of it will be easy and funny. Only a few minutes of maintenance each month are required to keep the aquarium running perfectly. The ARCLIGHT lamp will guarantee your aquarium the best possible light and a very elegant design. CAYMAN OPEN and ARCLIGHT are already supplied with everything necessary for maximum performance; every component is type-approved and complies with relative international safety norms.

WARNINGS

Although Ferplast only uses high quality silicone, during maintenance of your aquarium we recommend that you:

• do not damage the silicone cord with scissors, pliers, brushes or scrapers;

• do not use detergents, solvents or chemical products (descaler, ammonium-based products, etc.) to clean the glass, as they could damage the silicone, causing it to become detached (possibly some time later);

• do not use adhesives or adhesive tape near the silicone when applying backgrounds.

MOREOVER

• You should always use a spirit level to make sure that the aquarium is placed on a perfectly flat surface in both directions (length and depth), so as not to break the glass or damage the silicone.

• The floor (3) must hold the total weight of the support (2) and of the set up tank (1) (including water, and decorations).

• The product guarantee becomes null and void if these instructions and warnings are not followed.

VERY IMPORTANT

PRELIMINARY WARNINGS

Before carr ying out any operation, please read carefully the information below to protec t your safety and to prevent damage

to the aquarium:

• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the device corresponds with the mains voltage.

• This product is for indoor use.

• Make sure that your home is protected by a residual current circuit-breaker with a tripping current no higher than 30 mA.

• Do not connect the product to the mains until all of the installation operations have been carried out (including filling the aquarium’s tank).

• Disconnect the device from the mains before carrying out maintenance.

• Connect the plugs to the mains, leaving a bend in the cable that is lower than the outlet to prevent drops of water from reaching the mains (A).

• Remember that protection against water and dust is guaranteed only when the bulb is connected and the ring nuts are completely tightened.

• The bulb must never be submerged in any way.

• If the power cable is damaged, the entire device must be replaced.

• All extraordinary maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel.

Important: by qualified personnel we mean a qualified person entered in the public registry of installers;

by extraordinary maintenance we mean any type of maintenance not provided for in the paragraphs under ‘ARCLIGHT lamp maintenance’ and ‘CAYMAN OPEN aquarium maintenance’.

• Never pull out the heater from the water when it is connected to the mains. Before removing it from its housing, disconnect it and let it cool in the housing for at least 5 minutes.

• Periodically verify that the filter’s intake grilles are never completely obstructed.

POSITIONING THE AQUARIUM

• Place the aquarium on a sturdy support with a smooth and smooth surface. We recommend Ferplast units, already sized and designed for CAYMAN OPEN.

• Place the aquarium indoors where it cannot be reached by direct sunlight (which could cause overheating and the proliferation of algae), far from sources of heat (ex: central heating) and cold air.

• Place the aquarium far away from electrical devices that could be damaged by splashing water.

ARCLIGHT lamps

The package contains:

• 1 ARCLIGHT lamp, complete with fluorescent bulbs;

• 2 adjustable brackets, complete with bolts and rubber caps:

• 2 inserts for attachment to ceiling or onto STAR aquariums.

Check the integrity of all of the components. Even though Ferplast uses safe packaging and individually inspects each product, check for damage accidentally caused during shipment, storage and sale, which could compromise operation.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

BRACKETS

ARCLIGHT lamps come complete with 2 elegantly designed, very strong polycarbonate brackets (C/1). Both can be adjusted from 0 to 8 cm, providing extremely flexible use with all different models of aquariums. Both brackets come with bolts and rubber caps and are suitable for glass up to 15 mm thick.

LAMPS

All ARCLIGHT lamps are complete with fluorescent bulbs, reflector dish and waterproof bulb socket. To give your fish and plants the best possible light, choose among SEALIFE, FRESHLIFE and TOPLIFE, the Ferplast neon tubes, especially designed for marine and freshwater aquariums.

ELECTRONIC POWER SUPPLY

The electronic power supply, with bulbs at the water surface and a reflector dish, ensures appropriate lighting of the aquarium environment, while being fully safe and easy to use and maintain. The electronic power supply of the bulbs, compared to traditional power, guarantees:

• energy savings in compliance with European Directive 2000/55 on the use of low energy consumption devices;

• longer lifetime of the bulbs;

• stabler light: more similar to that of the sun (the flickering of traditional lighting is not perceptible);

• better quality light: it remains constant almost until the end of the bulb’s lifetime;

• lower temperatures: the electronic power supply disperses less heat;

• greater safety: when the bulb is burning out, a sophisticated electronic protective device disconnects power, making it safe;

• lighter: the electronic power suppliers are much lighter.

INSTALLATION

ABOVE THE TANK OF A CAYMAN OPEN AQUARIUM

• Remove the lamp from the package and connect the 2 brackets, sliding them along the guides at the bottom of the lamp itself (B).

• Adjust the 2 brackets, sliding them under the lamp, so that they can be positioned above the tank of your aquarium.

• Secure the bracket to the tank using the bolts and rubber caps (C/4-5), positioning the lamp at the center of the aquarium so that light is distributed

evenly.

ON THE CEILING

• Put the inserts into the 2 ends of the lamp (C/7).

• Connect the lamp to the ceiling above the aquarium using two cords and securing them to the inserts using the holes.

ABOVE THE TANK OF A STAR AQUARIUM

• To add a lamp to the STAR aquarium, open one of the two side heads of the aquarium’s lid and remove the piston, as shown in the relative operating manual.

• Put the inserts into the 2 ends of the lamp (C/6a).

• Insert the lamp into the guides under the lid using the tabs of the inserts (C/6b); lamps that are already present may need to be repositioned.

• Then close the lid’s head and reposition the relative piston.

MAINTENANCE

The ARCLIGHT lamps, once installed, do not require special maintenance, except for at least annual replacement of the bulbs to maintain an optimum light spectrum. To replace a bulb (C/8):

• Disconnect the plug from the power supply.

• Unscrew the two waterproof ring nuts of the bulb socket.

• Remove the bulb by rotating it a quarter turn until both pins are aligned with the bulb socket’s slot.

• In the same way, insert the new bulb by rotating it a quarter turn (you will hear a click).

• Carefully tighten the ring nuts.

Inside your CAYMAN OPEN aquarium package you will find:

• n° 1 CAYMAN aquarium complete with overtank lights ARCLIGHT;

• n° 1 BLUEXTREME external filter complete with filtering material;

• n° 1 BLUCLIMA heater;

• n° 1 thermometer;

• CD AQUARIUM SOFTWARE.

AQUARIUM MAINTENANCE

The main maintenance that we recommend, aside from the daily supply of food, is the annual replacement of the bulbs and periodic checking of the temperature and chemical values:

SETTING UP THE AQUARIUM

• Open the lamp box and secure the lamp onto the top of the tank, as indicated in the previous paragraph under ‘ARCLIGHT: Installation above the tank of an aquarium’.

• Make sure that the lamp ring nuts are fully tightened.

• Secure the thermometer to the tank in an easily visible position.

• Furnish the aquarium as you like (your dealer can provide help and advice).

• In any case, if you are setting up an aquarium for tropical fresh water fish, we recommend spreading an even layer of Ferplast GREEN ENERGY on the bot tom no more than 5 mm high, then covered with fine gravel, making sure that the total thickness is not less than 4 cm. Fill the tank with water (we recommend using 50% tap water and 50% demineralized water for aquariums, although this percentage could vary depending on the characteristics of your tap water).

• Set the heater temperature according to the chosen types of fish and plants (for example, for tropical aquariums with fresh water, the average temperature is approximately 25-26 °C).

• Install the filter in the tank, scrupulously following the instructions in the relative operating manual (including the addition of BLUSTART tablets when the filter is turned on).

• Arrange the plants in the aquarium 24 hours after placing the water in the tank so that the water’s temperature and chemical values have stabilized.

• We recommend illuminating the aquarium approximately 8 hours per day: if excessive algae develop, reduce the photoperiod to 7 hours; if the plants have difficulty growing, increase it up to 9 - 10 hours (we recommend using a Ferplast plug-in timer).

• Before inserting the fish, you must wait 10-12 days so that the filter is active. We recommend verifying the parameters of your aquarium water with the MULTISTICK TESTER. Your dealer will be able to offer advice on the ideal temperature, hardness, etc., based on the types of fishe and plants you have decided to grow in your aquarium. The parameters should be frequently retested. When the fish are inserted, add the remaining BLUSTART tablets supplied with the filter, as indicated in the relative operating manual.

• During the filter necessary running-in period, add a small dose of dry food every day: this will facilitate the formation of the bacterial flora.

• We do not recommend initially adding a high number of fish to the aquarium, but rather to reach the maximum population gradually.

NOTE:

Because this aquarium does not have a lid, special attention must be placed on the types of fishes raised; there are, in fact, cer tain species that under special conditions, for example fierce aggressiveness, could jump out of the aquarium. Contact your dealer.

1 Siphon the bottom as needed using the special BLU

9025/9027 gravel cleaner on sale at your dealer’s store;

2 Add demineralized water (to salt water and fresh

water aquariums) to replace what has evaporated as soon as the tank’s level is excessively low;

3 Replace 5-10% of the tank’s water with demineralized

water at least once a month;

4 Clean the outside of the tank without using

detergents. Be very careful not to damage the silicone seal that holds the plates of glass together;

5 Clean the inside of the tank with BLU

9031/9036/9038/9039 floating magnetic brushes, available at your dealer’s store.

6 Clean the filter at the times and using the procedures

indicated in the relative operating manual.

STAND

We reccomend using a Ferplast Stand, especially designed to support a CAYMAN OPEN aquarium, ensuring a solid, smooth even surface.

SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

Every part of the CAYMAN OPEN aquarium, ARCLIGHT lamp and relative filter can be easily replaced. Spare parts are available at the store where the filter was purchased. Numerous Ferplast accessories that are continuously updated, useful for adapting the aquarium to all kinds of ne eds, are also av ailable. To replace a component and always guarantee your product maximum operation and safety, only original Ferplast spare parts must be used. The installation of non-original spare parts annuls the warranty.

NOTES

The CAYMAN OPEN aquarium is designed for fresh water and salt water tropical environments. Nevertheless, its modularity and great flexibility means that it may be used for different kinds of environments (even temperate, with the addition of a cooler), with various accessories (special filtering systems, skimmers,

ENERGY systems, GREEN

ENERGY fertilizers, bulbs with different spectrums, etc.). Contact your dealer for more information. Your dealer will also be able to recommend fishes for your aquarium and their food, including how much and how often they need to be fed.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Ferplast guarantees the CAYMAN OPEN and the ARCLIGHT lamp and all of its components and accessories according to the terms of the following clause and current provisions of the law. The warranty is valid for manufacturing defects only and includes free repair or replacement. The warranty is annulled in the following cases: damage and/or defects due to negligence, wear, use not conforming with the information and warnings cited in the present booklet, accidents, tampering, improper use, incorrect repairs, lack of proof of purchase. Bulbs, the starter (if present), sponges and filtering materials in general are not covered und er the warranty.

TRES IMPORTANT

AVERTISSEMENTS PRELIMINAIRES

Avant de procéder à toute opération, nous vous prions de lire avec attention les indications reportées ci-après afin d’assurer votre sécurité et d’éviter d’endommager l’aquarium.

• Assurez-vous que le voltage indiqué sur l’appareil correspond à celui du réseau d’alimentation.

• Ce produit est destiné à l’usage interne.

• Assurez-vous que l’installation de votre maison est protégée en amont par un disjoncteur différentiel ayant une sensibilité non supérieure à 30 mA.

• Ne branchez pas le produit au réseau d’alimentation avant d’avoir effectué toutes les opérations d’installation (y compris le remplissage du bac de l’aquarium).

• Avant de procéder à toute intervention d’entretien, débranchez l’appareil du réseau d’alimentation.

• Branchez les fiches en réalisant une anse dans le câble, plus basse par rapport à la prise, de façon à éviter que des gouttes d’eau puissent atteindre le réseau d’alimentation (A).

• N’oubliez pas que le degré de protection contre la pénétration d’eau et de poussière n’est garanti qu’avec les lampes insérées et les bagues serrées correctement.

• La lampe ne doit en aucun cas être immergée.

• Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé, il faut remplacer l’appareil complet.

• Les opérations d’entretien extraordinaire doivent être exécutées par du personnel qualifié.

Important : par personnel qualifié, on entend une personne qualifiée inscrite à une association d’installateurs

agréés, par entretien extraordinaire, on entend toute intervention d’entretien qui n’est pas comprise dans les paragraphes « Entretien du plafonnier ARCLIGHT » et « Entretien de l’aquarium CAYMAN OPEN ».

• N’extrayez jamais le réchauffeur de l’eau quand il est branché au réseau électrique. Avant de le déposer de son siège, débranchez-le et laissez-le refroidir pendant au moins 5 minutes.

• Contrôlez périodiquement que les grilles d’entrée du filtre ne sont pas entièrement obstruées.

POSITIONNEMENT DE L’AQUARIUM

• Posez l’aquarium sur un support solide, ayant un plan d’appui lisse et régulier. Nous vous conseillons d’utiliser les meubles Ferplast déjà dimensionnés et conçus pour le CAYMAN OPEN.

• Positionnez l’aquarium dans un endroit où la lumière directe du soleil n’arrive pas (car cela peut provoquer des surchauffes et la prolifération d’algues), à l’écart des sources de chaleur (par ex. : radiateurs) et d’air froid.

• Positionnez l’aquarium à l’écart des appareils électriques qui peuvent être endommagés par les projections d’eau.

Plafonniers ARCLIGHT

À l’intérieur de l’emballage, vous trouverez :

• 1 plafonnier ARCLIGHT, avec lampes fluorescentes ;

• 2 supports réglables avec vis de fixation et caoutchoucs ;

• 2 pieds pour la fixation au plafond ou sur des aquariums STAR.

Contrôlez que tous les composants sont intacts. Ferplast utilise des emballages sûrs et contrôle un par un ses produits; nous vous conseillons cependant de vérifier qu’il n’y a pas de dommages dus au transport, au stockage ou à la vente qui pourraient compromettre le fonctionnement correct du produit.

CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES

SUPPORTS

Les plafonniers ARCLIGHT sont fournis avec 2 supports (C/1) en polycarbonate, très résistants et au design raffiné. Ils sont réglables de 0 à 8 cm, ce qui assure une excellente adaptabilité sur de nombreux modèles d’aquarium. Les deux supports sont munis de vis et de caoutchoucs de fixation et sont adaptés pour des vitres d’épaisseur jusqu’à 15 mm.

LAMPES

Tous les plafonniers ARCLIGHT sont équipés de lampes fluorescentes et de plaques réflechissantes et douilles étanches. Pour offrir aux poissons et aux plantes la meilleure lumière, vous pourrez choisir entre les néons SEALIFE, FRESHLIFE et TOPLIFE Ferplast, spécialement conçus pour les aquariums d’eau douce et de mer.

ALIMENTATION ELECTRONIQUE

L’alimentation électronique, avec lampes à fleur d’eau et réflecteur parabolique, permet d’obtenir un éclairage approprié et en toute sécurité pour l’environnement de l’aquarium tout en assurant une grande simplicité d’utilisation et d’entretien. Par rapport à l’alimentation traditionnelle, l’alimentation électronique des lampes garantit :

• des économies d’énergie, conformément à la Directive Européenne 2000/55 établissant des exigences de rendement pour l’éclairage fluorescent ;

• durée de vie prolongée des lampes ;

• éclairage plus stable : plus similaire à l’éclairage du soleil (le papillotement typique de l’éclairage traditionnel a été éliminé) ;

• meilleure qualité d’éclairage : il reste constant quasiment jusqu’à la fin de vie de la lampe ;

• températures plus basses : le ballast électronique provoque une faible déperdition de chaleur ;

• plus grande sécurité : quand la lampe atteint la fin de sa durée de vie, une protection électronique sophistiquée coupe le courant et met en sécurité l’appareil ;

• moindre poids : les ballasts électroniques sont beaucoup plus légers.

INSTALLATION

AU-DESSUS D’UN BAC D’AQUARIUM CAYMAN OPEN

• Prélevez le plafonnier de l’emballage et montez les 2 supports en les faisant coulisser le long des guides situés sur la partie inférieure du plafonnier (B).

• Réglez les 2 supports en les faisant coulisser sous le plafonnier, de façon à pouvoir les positionner au-dessus du bac de votre aquarium.

• Fixez le support au bac avec les vis et les caoutchoucs de fixation prévus à cet effet (C/4-5) ; essayez de positionner le plafonnier centré par rapport à l’aquarium, de façon à obtenir un éclairage homogène.

AU PLAFOND

• Insérez les pieds prévues à cet effet dans les 2 extrémités du plafonnier (C/7).

• Positionnez le plafonnier au plafond, au-dessus de l’aquarium, en utilisant deux cordelettes insérées dans les trous des pieds.

AU-DESSUS D’UN BAC D’AQUARIUM STAR

• Pour poser un plafonnier sur l’aquarium STAR, il faut ouvrir l’une des deux têtes latérales du couvercle de l’aquarium et enlever le piston, comme indiqué dans le manuel d’utilisation correspondant.

• Insérez les pieds prévues à cet effet dans les 2 extrémités du plafonnier (C/6a).

• Insérez le plafonnier dans les guides prévus à cet effet sous le couvercle à l’aide des ailettes des pieds (C/6b) ; s’il y a des plafonniers existants, il se peut qu’il faille les repositionner pour exécuter cette opération.

• Refermez la tête latérale du couvercle et remettez en place le piston.

ENTRETIEN

Une fois installés, les plafonniers ARCLIGHT ne nécessitent pas d’entretien spécial, excepté le remplacement des lampes à effectuer au moins une fois par an, de façon à conserver un spectre d’émission optimal. Pour remplacer une lampe (C/8) :

• débranchez la fiche de la prise de courant ;

• dévissez les deux bagues d’étanchéité de la douille ;

• extrayez la lampe en la tournant d’un quart de tour jusqu’à ce que les deux broches s’alignent avec la fente de la douille ;

• de manière analogue, insérez la nouvelle lampe et tournez-la d’un quart de tour (vous entendrez un déclic) ;

• serrez correctement les bagues.

ENTRETIEN DE L’AQUARIUM

Excepté l’administration quotidienne des aliments, le remplacement annuel des lampes et le contrôle périodique de la température et des valeurs chimiques, les principales opérations d’entretien que nous vous recommandons sont :

AGENCEMENT DE L’AQUARIUM

• Prélevez le plafonnier de son emballage et fixez-le sur le bac selon les indications fournies dans le paragraphe précédent dans la section « ARCLIGHT : installation au-dessus d’un bac d’aquarium ».

• Assurez-vous que les bagues des lampes sont serrées correctement.

• Fixez le thermomètre au bac dans une position bien visible.

• Agencez l’aquarium selon vos préférences (vous pouvez également recourir aux conseils de votre revendeur).

• Dans tous les cas, si vous agencez un aquarium avec des poissons tropicaux d’eau douce, nous vous conseillons d’appliquer sur le fond une couche mince et uniforme de fertilisant GREEN ENERGY sur pas plus de 5 mm, à recouvrir avec du gravillon jusqu’à obtenir une épaisseur totale non inférieure à 4 cm. Remplissez le bac avec de l’eau (nous vous conseillons d’utiliser 50% d’eau de robinet et 50% d’eau déminéralisée pour aquariums, ce pourcentage pouvant varier en fonction des caractéristiques de l’eau du robinet).

• Réglez ensuite la température du réchauffeur en fonction des espèces de poissons et plantes choisies (par exemple, pour les aquariums tropicaux d’eau douce, la température moyenne est d’environ 25-26 °C).

• Installez le filtre dans le bac en suivant scrupuleusement les indications reportées dans le manuel d’utilisation correspondant (y compris l’insertion des capsules BLUSTART lors du démarrage du filtre).

• Disposez les plantes dans l’aquarium 24 heures après avoir versé l’eau dans le bac, de façon à ce que la température et les valeurs chimiques de l’eau soient stabilisées.

• Nous vous conseillons d’éclairer l’aquarium pendant environ 8 heures par jour : si vous constatez un développement excessif d’algues, réduisez la photopériode à 7 heures ; si les plantes poussent avec difficulté, augmentez la photopériode même jusqu’à 9 - 10 heures (nous vous conseillons d’utiliser la prise minuterie Ferplast).

• Avant d’introduire les poissons, il faut attendre 10-12 jours, de façon à ce que le filtre soit actif. Nous vous conseillons de vérifier les paramètres de l’eau de votre aquarium avec les tests de mesure MULTISTICK TESTER. Vous pouvez également vous renseigner auprès de votre revendeur sur les valeurs idéales de température, dureté, etc., en fonction des espèces de poissons et végétaux que vous avez décidé d’élever dans votre aquarium. Il est conseillé d’effectuer ce contrôle plutôt fréquemment. Au moment d’introduire le s poissons, ajoutez les capsules BLUSTART restantes fournies avec le filtre, comme cela est indiqué dans le manuel d’instructions correspondant.

• Pendant la période nécessaire à la maturation du filtre, administrez tous les jours une petite dose d’aliments secs : cela facilitera la formation de la flore bactérienne.

• Nous vous conseillons de ne pas introduire dès le début un nombre élevé de poissons dans l’aquarium, mais d’atteindre graduellement la population maximum.

N.B. :

Cet aquarium n’ayant pas de couvercle, il faut choisir avec attention les espèces de poissons à élever ; dans des conditions particulières, par exemple de forte agressivité, certaines espèces pourraient en effet sauter hors de l’aquarium. Renseignez-vous auprès de votre revendeur.

1 Nettoyez le fond, si nécessaire à l’aide de la cloche de

nettoyage BLU 9025/9027 prévue à cet effet en vente chez les revendeurs ;

2 Ajoutez de l’eau déminéralisée (aussi bien dans les

aquariums d’eau de mer que d’eau douce) pour réintégrer l’eau évaporée quand le niveau dans le bac est trop bas ;

3 Remplacez 5-10% de l’eau du bac par de l’eau

déminéralisée au moins une fois par mois ;

4 Nettoyez l’extérieur du bac en évitant d’utiliser des

détergents. Faites particulièrement attention à ne pas endommager le cordon de silicone qui unit les vitres ;

5 Nettoyez l’intérieur du bac avec les brosses

magnétiques flottantes BLU 9031/9036/9038/9039, disponibles chez les revendeurs ;

6 Nettoyez le filtre avec la fréquence et les modalités

indiquées dans le manuel d’utilisation correspondant.

Pieds réglables

PIECES DE RECHANGE ET ACCESSOIRES

Chaque pièce de l’aquarium CAYMAN OPEN et du plafonnier ARCLIGHT et du filtre peut facilement être remplacée. Les pièces de rechange sont disponibles dans le magasin où vous avez acheté l’aquarium. Pour le remplacement des composants et pour toujours garantir un fonctionnement et une sécurité optimaux de votre produit, il faut utiliser uniquement des pièces de rechange d’origine Ferplast. Le montage de pièces de rechange non d’origine entraîne la perte de la garantie.

L’a quar i um CAYMA N OPE N est prévu pour la réalisation de milieux tropicaux d’eau douce ou de mer. Cependant, sa modularité et sa grande adaptabilité permettent aussi bien la réalisation des milieux les plus disparates (y compris tempérés, avec l’ajout d’un refroidisseur), que l’implémentation de différents accessoires (systèmes de filtrage spécifiques, écumeurs, systèmes CO ENERGY, fertilisants GREEN ENERGY, lampes de spectre différent, etc.). GARANTIE

Ferplast garantit l’aquarium CAYMAN OPEN et le plafonnier ARCLIGHT et tous ses composants et accessoires dans les limites prévues par la clause ci-après et par les dispositions de loi en vigueur. La garantie couvre uniquement les défauts de fabrication et comprend la réparation ou le remplacement gratuit. La garantie déchoit en cas de dommages et/ ou de défauts provoqués par négligence, usure, utilisation non-conforme aux indications et avertissements reportés dans ce manuel, accidents, altérations, utilisation incorrecte, réparations erronées, achat non prouvé par document fiscal. Les lampes, le starter (si présent), les mousses et les matériaux filtrants en général sont exclus de la garantie.

IMPORTANT

Art. 10.3 et annexe IV de la directive, Art. 6 et annexe 2 du décret. Au sein de l’Union Européenne, le symbole de la poubelle sur roues barrée indique que le produit, à la  n de son cycle de vie, doit être apporté dans un centre pour la collecte sélective des déchets d’équipements électriques et électroniques et qu’il ne peut pas être éliminé avec les ordures ménagères.

Das CAYMAN OPEN Aquarium wurde entwickelt, um Sie voll und ganz zufrieden zu stellen und um die Gesundheit der Fische, die in ihrer kleinen Unterwasserwelt leben werden, zu gewährleisten. Es einzurichten und in Stand zu halten, wird sehr leicht sein und Ihnen großen Spaß machen. Nur wenige Minuten im Monat reichen aus, um das Aquarium perfekt in Schuss zu halten. Die ARCLIGHT Leuchte sorgt für bestes Licht in Ihrem Aquarium und besticht durch ihr besonders elegantes Design. CAYMAN OPEN und ARCLIGHT werden bereits mit allen für einen optimalen Betrieb erforderlichen Zubehörteilen geliefert; jedes Bauteil ist amtlich zugelassen und entspricht den internationalen Sicherheitsnormen.

WARNHINWEISE

Auch wenn Ferplast qualitativ hochwertige Silikone einsetzt, empfehlen wir Ihnen bei der Reinigung und Pflege Ihres Aquariums folgendes zu beachten:

1 Beschädigen Sie die Silikondichtungen nicht mit Scheren, Zangen, Bürsten

oder Schabern.

2 Verwenden sie keine Reinigungsmittel, Lösungsmittel oder chemische

Produkte (Kalklöser, ammoniakhaltige Produkte, etc.) zum Reinigen der Scheiben, da diese das Silikon angreifen und dessen Ablösung (auch nach längerer Zeit) verursachen könnten.

3 Wenn Sie Hintergrundbilder anbringen, vermeiden Sie es, in der Nähe des

Silikons Klebstoffe oder Klebebänder zu verwenden.

FERNER:

• überprüfen Sie immer mit einer Wasserwaage, dass sich das Aquarium auf einer vollkommen und in beide Richtungen (Länge und Tiefe) geraden Ebene befindet, um einen Scheibenbruch oder einen Haftungsverlust des Silikons zu vermeiden.

• Der Boden “3” muß das gesamte Gewicht des Schrankes “2” und des Aquariums “1” (inklusive Wasser und Dekoration) tragen.

• Bei Nichtbeachtung der hier aufgeführten Anweisungen und Warnhinweise erlischt die Garantie.

WICHTIG

VORBEMERKUNGEN

Vor der Inbetriebnahme lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig die nachfolgenden Hinweise durch, die zu Ihrer Sicherheit dienen und eine Beschädigung des Aquariums vermeiden:

• Überprüfen Sie, dass die auf dem Gerät angegebene Voltzahl mit der des Stromnetzes übereinstimmt.

• Dieses Gerät ist nur für den Innengebrauch bestimmt.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Elektroanlage Ihrer Wohnung ein geeigneter Fehlerstrom-Schutzschalter vorgeschaltet ist, der bei 30 mA ausgelöst wird.

• Schließen Sie das Gerät nicht an das Stromnetz an, bevor Sie alle Installationsschritte ausgeführt haben (einschließlich das Befüllen des Beckens).

• Trennen Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz, bevor Sie Wartungsarbeiten ausführen.

• Schließen Sie die Stecker an das Stromnetz an und lassen Sie dabei das Kabel locker unterhalb der Steckdose hängen, um zu vermeiden, dass Wassertropfen zum Stromnetz gelangen können (A).

• Denken Sie daran, dass der Schutzgrad gegen Wasser und Staub nur dann gewährleistet ist, wenn die Lampen eingesetzt und die Fassungsringe fest angezogen sind.

• Die Leuchte darf keinesfalls in Wasser getaucht werden.

• Bei einer Beschädigung des Versorgungskabels, muss das komplette Gerät ersetzt werden.

• Außerordentliche Wartungsarbeiten sind von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal auszuführen.

Wichtig: Unter qualifiziertem Fachpersonal versteht man eine qualifizierte Person, die in der Berufskammer für

Installateure eingetragen ist. Unter außerordentlicher Wartungsarbeit versteht man jegliche Wartungsarbeit, die nicht in den Absätzen ‘Wartung der ARCLIGHT Leuchte’ und ‘Wartung und Pflege des CAYMAN OPEN Aquariums’ aufgeführt ist.

• Nehmen Sie das Heizgerät nicht aus dem Wasser, wenn es am Stromnetz angeschlossen ist. Bevor Sie es aus seinem Sitz entfernen, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker und lassen Sie es mindestens 5 Minuten lang abkühlen.

• Regelmäßig kontrollieren, dass die Filter-Eintrittsgitter nie ganz verschlossen sind.

AUFSTELLEN DES AQUARIUMS

• Stellen Sie das Aquarium auf eine feste Unterlage mit einer glatten und ebenen Auflagefläche. Wir empfehlen Ihnen die Unterschränke von Ferplast, die in Größe und Bauart auf die Produktreihe CAYMAN OPEN abgestimmt sind.

• Stellen Sie das Aquarium im Innenbereich auf. Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass es nicht dem direkten Sonnenlicht ausgesetz t (dies könnte zu übermäßiger Erwärmung und vermehrtem Algenwachstum führen) und weit genug von Wärmequellen (z.B.: Heizkörpern) und kalter Luft entfernt ist.

• Stellen Sie das Aquarium von elektrischen Geräten entfernt auf, die durch Spritzwasser beschädigt werden könnten.

ARCLIGHT Leuchten

Packungsinhalt:

• 1 ARCLIGHT Leuchte, komplett mit Leuchtstofflampen;

• 2 verstellbare Bügel, komplett mit Befestigungsschrauben und Gummieinsätzen;

• 2 Einsätze für die Montage an der Decke oder auf Aquarien aus der Produktreihe STAR.

Überprüfen Sie alle Bauteile auf Unversehrtheit. Obschon Ferplast sichere Verpackungen verwendet und jedes Produkt einzeln kontrolliert, empfehlen wir Ihnen zu überprüfen, dass keine Beschädigungen vorliegen, die während Transport, Lagerung und Verkauf aufgetreten sein und den einwandfreien Betrieb beeinträchtigen könnten.

CAYMAN AQUARIUMS

TECHNISCHE EIGENSCHAFTEN

BÜGEL

Die ARCLIGHT Leuchten werden zusammen mit 2 Bügeln (C/1) aus Polycarbonat geliefert, die besonders widerstandsfähig sind und sich durch ihr edles Design auszeichnen. Beide sind von 0 bis 8 cm verstellbar. Deshalb sind sie besonders flexibel auf den unterschiedlichsten Aquarienausführungen einsetzbar. Beide Bügel sind mit Befestigungsschrauben und Gummieinsätzen ausgestattet und eignen sich für Glasstärken bis zu 15 mm.

LAMPEN

Alle ARCLIGHT Lampen sind komplett mit Leuchtstoffröhren, Reflektor und wasserdichter Fassung ausgestattet. Um Ihren Fischen und Pflanzen bestmögliche Lichtverhältnisse zu bieten, können Sie aus den Typen SEALIFE, FRESHLIFE und TOPLIFE wählen. Die Ferplast Neonröhren sind für Süß- und Meerwasseraquarien geeignet.

ELEKTRONISCHE VERSORGUNG

Die elektronische Versorgung, mit Wasserspiegel-Lampen und Parabolreflektor, gewährleistet eine für das Aquarium geeignete Beleuchtung, maximale Sicherheit sowie einfache Anwendung und Wartung. Die elektronische Versorgung der Lampen garantiert Ihnen, gegenüber konventionellen Lampen:

• eine Energieeinsparung gemäß der Richtlinie 2000/55/EG betreffend den Einsatz von Geräten mit niedrigem Energieverbrauch;

• eine längere Lebensdauer der Lampen;

• ein beständigeres Licht: dem Sonnenlicht ähnlicher (das typisches Flackern der konventionellen Beleuchtung wird nicht wahrgenommen);

• eine bessere Lichtqualität: bleibt bis fast zum Lebensende der Lampe gleich;

• niedrigere Temperaturen: das elektronische Netzteil gibt nur wenig Wärme ab;

• mehr Sicherheit: Wenn die Lampe ihr Lebensende erreicht hat, trennt eine technisch ausgereifte elektronische Schutzvorrichtung die Spannung und sichert dadurch das Gerät;

• ein geringeres Gewicht: die elektronischen Netzteile sind wesentlich leichter.

INSTALLATION

ÜBER DEM BECKEN EINES CAYMAN OPEN AQUARIUMS

• Nehmen Sie die Leuchte aus der Packung und bringen Sie die 2 Bügel an, indem Sie sie in die an der Unterseite der Leuchte angebrachten Führungsschienen schieben (B).

• Stellen Sie die 2 Bügel ein, indem Sie sie so unter der Leuchte verschieben, dass Sie sie über dem Becken Ihres Aquariums positionieren können.

• Fixieren Sie die Bügel mit Hilfe der entsprechenden Befestigungsschrauben und Gummieinsätze am Becken (C/4-5). Versuchen Sie dabei, die Leuchte möglichst mittig zum Aquarium auszurichten, so dass das Licht gleichmäßig verteilt wird.

AN DER DECKE

• Setzen Sie die entsprechenden Einsätze an den beiden Enden der Leuchte ein (C/7).

• Bringen Sie die Leuchte an der Decke über dem Aquarium an. Verwenden Sie dazu zwei Schnüre und befestigen Sie diese über die vorgebohrten Löcher an den Einsätzen.

ÜBER DEM BECKEN EINES STAR AQUARIUMS

• Zur Anbringung einer Leuchte an einem STAR Aquarium muss, wie in der entsprechenden Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben, eine der beiden Seitenteile der Aquarienabdeckung geöffnet und der Kolben entfernt werden.

• Setzen Sie die entsprechenden Einsätze an den beiden Enden der Leuchte ein (C/6a).

• Führen Sie die Leuchte mit Hilfe der Flügel an den Einsätzen in die dafür vorgesehenen, unter der Abdeckung angebrachten Führungsschienen ein (C/6b); um sie einzuführen, könnte es erforderlich sein, auch die bereits vorhandenen Leuchten neu zu positionieren.

• Schließen Sie daraufhin das Seitenteil der Aquarienabdeckung wieder und setzen Sie den entsprechenden Kolben wieder ein.

WARTUNG

Nachdem die ARCLIGHT Leuchten installiert sind, bedürfen Sie keiner besonderen Wartung, wenn man vom Austausch der Leuchtstofflampen mindestens einmal pro Jahr absieht, der erforderlich ist, um das optimale Lichtspektrum zu erhalten. Austauschen einer Lampe (C/8):

• Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

• Drehen Sie die beiden wasserdichten Fassungsringe von den Lampenfassungen.

• Nehmen Sie die Lampe aus den Fassungen. Drehen Sie sie dazu um eine viertel Umdrehung, bis sich die Stecker beide zum Schlitz der Lampenfassung ausgerichtet haben.

• Setzen Sie auf gleiche Weise die neue Lampe ein und drehen Sie sie um eine viertel Umdrehung

(bis Sie ein Einrastgeräusch hören).

• Ziehen Sie die Fassungsringe gut fest.
