FasTest, Inc. warrants its products against defects
the date of the sale by FasTest, Inc. This warranty is void if the product is misused, tampered with or
used in a manner that is not in accordance with FasTest, Inc. recommendations and/or instructions.
FasTest, Inc. is not liable for consequential or other damages including, but not limited to, loss, damage,
personal injury, or any other expense directly or indirectly arising from the use of or inability to use its
products either separately or in combination with other products. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE
EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.
Remedy under this warranty is limited to replacement of the product or an account credit in the amount
of the original selling price, at the option on FasTest, Inc. All allegedly defective products must be
returned prepaid transportation to FasTest, Inc. along with information describing the products
performance, unless disposition in the field is authorized in writing by FasTest, Inc.
of workmanship and/or material for 12 months from

Description:
Please thoroughly read the instructions prior to rebuilding the
MediMate® Connector. If you do not understand instructions, or
if components are missing, call FasTast before rebuilding
connector.
Remove connector from service. Select a clean
nvironment to transfer the components. A laboratory or
e
clean office is acceptable. Avoid any location where the
connector could come in contact with external
contaminants. Wear rubber gloves or wash hands
thoroughly before handling.
WARNING: Failure to take proper precautions to assure
the cleanliness of the connector and components can be
hazardous.

Core Sub-Assembly Removal and Replacement:

1. To remove the core sub-assembly from the old body, place the body of the MediMate
connector in a clamp or vise.
2. Utilizing flats on shaft, unscrew shaft from the body. Use care so not to scratch or damage
the connector components. The core sub-assembly should easily slide out of the body. If
the components do not remove easily, gently remove parts by hand. Do not use any sharp
instruments.
3. Make sure the core sub-assembly is dry and clean. If necessary, blow-off the assembly
with clean dry air.
4. Apply a drop of LocTite 242 to the shaft threads. Use care to assure that the LocTite does
not contaminate any other components.

5. Place the core sub-assembly into the new body
Do not over tighten.
and tighten down with wrench until snug.
Handle / Piston Removal and Replacement:
1. Remove the retaining ring from the clevis pin.
2. Slide the clevis pin out through the handle and body.

3. The activation piston will now be free and easily removed from the old body. Remove the
piston and the piston spring and transfer to the new body.
4. Orientate the handle into the new body and slide the clevis pin through the body and
handle.
5. Replace the retaining ring into the clevis pin.
