1 Introduction

The Model 88C Resistivity Meter measures the resistivity of fluids, slurries, and
semisolids according to API recommended practice. Field and laboratory personnel
rely on this instrument to evaluate formation characteristics from electric logs.
Resistivity is the ability of a material to resist conduction; conductivity is the
reciprocal of resistivity.

CAUTION. Describes a situation or practice that requires operator
