Usermanual 4TrackTrigger TP2.5 3 / 18
Introduction
After the successful launch of our 4MidiLoop Mix-Controller it is now time to introduce the latest hardware for sophisticated DJ's.
As you would expect here is the new 4-Deck-Weapon 4TrackTrigger, developed specificaly for the external mixer mode. Made by the German Faderfox and the Swiss Glanzmann Digital DJ Solutions.
The new 4TrackTrigger comes with 150 buttons, 17 encoders, 17 Potentiometers, 6 displays and 188 LED's. Everything nicely arranged in a DJ-compatible Aluminium case.
Two features worth highlighting are the centred key-array with 78 multicoloured buttons and the 4 extra long LED-bars. It is pure pleasure to trigger hot cues, start samples and to activate effects with the precise buttons. No imprecise feeling compared to all the other rubber keys out there but a controllable behaviour with excellent response.
In addition the precise catching encoders allow the fastest possible access to functions such as browse, seek, loop-size and loop-move. Needless to say it is that exactly these features which are essential for a modern Digital-DJ.
Of course we have built in the well-proven FX department with a simultaneous control for all 4 FX-slots. They come with 16 dedicated potentiometers and 20 buttons.
On top of that we have the Master Clock and the Loop Recorder sections which are fitted with luxury display LED bars and all necessary functions in order to make all Traktor departments easy accessible.
Last but not least you will find 2 pedal connectors on the rear side in order to keep your feet's busy. Each connector recognizes automatically if a footswitch or a pedal is connected. With the shift functions you can easily assign any effect to these two connectors.
All controls can be setup individually via the Traktor setup and attributed to every desired function. A modifier control makes this even easier.
To sum up, the 4TrackTrigger is the ideal partner for a setup with a 4-Channel-DJ-Mixer and this is not only because of the matching form-factor. The 4TrackTrigger offers everything that is needed for a cultivated mix. And everything is ergonomically arranged.
The 4TrackTrigger is the uncompromising tool to take the traditional and experimental DJ to the next level.
It is designed with passion for detail and handmade in Switzerland and Germany. It is the ultimate instrument made by professionals for professionals.

FX1-4 section
Selecting the destination for the pedals is carried out via 8 positions, individually for the left and right pedal. Thus the modifiers 1 and 2 are controlled, being used as a condition in the Setup. In the Setup V03, the destinations are placed on the FX parameters, whereby it is differentiated between the expression pedals and the foot switches. The device detects which type (pedal or switch) is connected at present and therefore sends different CC numbers. There are 2 CC numbers for the left and 2 CC numbers for the right pedal: CC 86 channel 9 = left pedal / CC 86 channel 10 = right pedal / CC 86 channel 11 = left switch / CC 86 channel 12 = right switch. After device reconnect or Traktor restart, the destination adjustments (modifiers) are passed to Traktor, which mostly go to the first destination (both modifiers equal 0-value). The pedal inlets measure themselves automatically, so that a possible available minimum adjustment at the pedal can be varied at any time. Pedal latches must have 3 poles and foot switch latches 2 poles. Expression pedals such as the Roland EV-5 and the switch-pedal by Boss FS-5U are used.

Extensions
All the controls in Traktor Pro may be assigned to new functions, which are accessed in the Preferences/Controller-Manager. Particulars are given in the Traktor Pro manual.
Since some shift functions of the controller remain unassigned, the following extensions are suggested:
FX- potentiometers
Some buttons in master clock section
As long as Leds are allocated to buttons, they may be controlled by the same Midi- commands as those for the buttons. For information about the numbers of the particular Midi- commands, first check the included list of the corresponding functions in the included setup.
Especially, the two large grey buttons in each deck (on either side of the red Play buttons) offer themselves for allocation of often-required functions. By using the Modifier function (Shift + Sizebutton and Display in Loop-Recorder-Section), it is easy to allocate individual alternative functions with these buttons in the Setup V03. By doing this, the “Modifier Condition” on M4 = 1…7 in the section “Mapping Details”, must be set in the Traktor preferences for the newly added own allocations. The value 1...7 corresponds to the adjusted value in the device (Shift + Size button and display in the Loop-Recorder section). Thus you obtain 7 alternative allocation possibilities for the two buttons. If the value is set to 0, the above described standard functions (Loop active & Beatjump) are used. In order to have the individual allocations in connection with the Modifier function immediately available after plugging in the device, the Modifier starting value can be saved in the device. To this end, the value is determined via Shift + Size button in the Loop-Recorder section, then calls up the system mode at the device and subsequently withdraws from it (each by simultaneously pressing the View button + Browse-Encoder).
