EWB 700 User Guide
The Extron® EWB 700 is
an optional accessory for
mounting the TLP 700MV
Conduit
Cables
touchpanel onto the surface
of various wall types (such as
drywall, wood, or masonry)
where it is not possible to
embed the touchpanel in
the wall. The EWB 700 has
knockouts that accept raceways
or conduit for running cables
over the surface of the wall to
the touchpanel.
The following items are
required for installation, but
are not supplied:
• Extron TLP 700MV (includes
Extron TR 700M Trim Ring)
• Four screws (Extron recommends a
minimum length of 1 inch, if possible)
• Power drill
• Drill bit that is appropriate for wall type

Fastener Suggestions for Different Wall Types
Choose a type of screw or bolt that is appropriate for the wall (see table below). The
mounting holes in the back of the EWB 700 accommodate screws up to ¼ inch in diameter.

Mounting the EWB 700
1. If mounting to standard wood wall studs, locate
the center of the studs.
2. Place the EWB 700 against the wall in a suitable
location. Use a level to ensure the box is horizontal
and mark the position of the four holes.
3. If required, drill four holes into the wall.
4. Insert four screws (see the table above) and attach
the EWB 700 to the wall.

5. Remove the required knockout and run
conduit or raceway to the EWB 700.
6. Pull the cables through the conduit,
the EWB 700 knockout, and the Extron
TR 700M trim ring (provided with the
Extron TLP 700MV).
7. Attach the trim ring to the EWB 700 using
four #6-32 screws (provided).
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the
screws. Use a manual screwdriver.
Installing the TLP 700MV
8. Remove the faceplate from the TouchLink
panel.
9. Attach the cables to the back of the
TLP 700MV. There are three sets of cables:
• One cable for the 12 VDC power input
• Two cables with BNC connectors for
video (optional)
• One network cable with a
RJ-45 connector for network connection

10. Fold the locking arms
into their recesses on the
side of the TLP 700MV
and slide the unit into
the wall box. Tighten
the screws on the front
of the unit to hold the
unit in place. The locking
arms rotate behind the
EWB 700 and trim ring.
11. Configure the TLP 700MV
as described in the
TLP 700MV and TLP 700TV
User Guide.
12. Snap the faceplate into
position (four clips on
each side).
