Operating Instructions
AC VOLTAGE DETECTION
1. For low voltage testing (24 to 100V), press and hold the 24V button (5). For standard electrical work (>100V, this is not necessary.
2. Touch the probe tip (7) to the hot conductor or insert into the hot side of the electrical outlet.
3. If AC voltage is present, the detector cone will illuminate (6) and the detector will beep.
NOTE: The conductors in electrical cord sets
are often twisted. For best results, rub the probe tip along a length of the cord to assure placing the tip in close proximity to the live conductor.
NOTE: The detector is designed with high
sensitivity. Static electricity or other sources of energy may randomly trip the sensor. This is normal operation.
FLASHLIGHT
Press and hold the flashlight ON/OFF button (2) to turn on the flashlight (1).
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Remove the end cap (3) by gently lifting the pocket clip (4) to release the catch.
2. Insert two AAA batteries (observe polarity).
3. Replace the end cap
NOTE: If your meter does not work properly, check the
battery to make sure that it still good and that it is properly inserted.
