Flexible Borescope
Model BR136
Congratulations on your purchase of the Extech BR136 Flexible Borescope. This device includes a bright light to illum inate the viewed object and has a Removable 90 degree side viewing adaptor that rotates 360 degrees. This device is shipped fully tested and, with proper use, will provide years of reliable service.
Operation
Slide the Light On/Off button up to turn on the object illumination light. Slide it down to turn the light off.
Viewing
Look through the eyepiece. The image is broken up in pixels. This is because individual optical fibers are used to carry the image from the end of the borescope to the eyepiece.
Focusing
Turn the knurled portion of the eyepiece to sharpen the image. This compensates for differences in eyesight only.
Mirror
The borescope is fitted with a 90° view mirror tip that can be rotated 360°. The mirror tip can also be removed for straight-on viewing.
Cleaning
1. Wipe the cable down with a lint free cloth to remove any liquid
2. Immerse the cable with a mild soap solution, gently clean with a sponge or int free cloth and rinse with clean water
3. Clean the lens with a cloth dipped in alcohol.
Storage
The BR136 should be completely dried before storage. Wipe the lenses dry with a cotton swab and clean lens surfaces with a lens cleaner such as silica wax to prevent water marks
Battery Replacement
Press the battery compartment release button to remove the battery compartment from the base of the handle. Replace the 3 AA batteries and replace the compartment.
