The difference between the ESO and Claris™ systems

• Both feature saltless ion exchange (softening) and

integrated carbon filtration.

• Both provide excellent scale prevention, improved taste

and odor for beverages, and blending of filtered water
with the softened water.

while the Claris has an adjustable blend that allows custom­ization of how much mineral you want in the product water.

• If a carbonator is placed before the water is chilled using

a cold plate, the associated term is ambient carbonation.
When it is placed post-chilling, it is cold carbonation.

7SI Ice Cartridge for Slime Reduction

The 7SI Cartridge is specially designed for ice machines and does not include carbon. The cartridge reduces
sediment and particulate down to ½-micron, and reduces cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. The
filter allows chlorine to pass through which can help to reduce slime and bacteria growth inside the ice
machine and ice bin. Ideal for foodservice operations where baking of breads and pastries is done on-site.

Should I use Kleensteam® or Claris™ XXL?

Both provide excellent scale prevention, but in different ways. Should you have questions about your water or what would
work best on your steam oven, consult your local Everpure representative or email [e-mail]

• The Kleensteam uses a

phosphate blend that essentially
lubricates the dissolved mineral,
preventing it from returning to
solid rock.

• The Kleensteam is effective up

to 12 grains of hardness.

• Above 12 grains of hardness, the

Claris XXL or a reverse osmosis
system is recommended.

• Claris XXL is ideal for low

volume boilerless steam ovens.

• The Claris uses ion exchange

(“saltless” softening) to
remove carbonate hardness
and lower alkalinity, preventing
the scale-forming process from
occurring.

• Both are highly effective on boiler-based steam ovens, but the higher

capacity of the Kleensteam gives it an edge.

Our system sizing guidelines are approximations based on properly installed equipment, average usage at normal operating
flow rate and average water conditions. These guidelines are designed to give you approximately 6 months of use between filter
cartridge changes. Variations in equipment usage and/or incoming water conditions can produce different results.
