The ETS InstaSnake™ Series (PA200) is a compact, lightweight,

versatile passive group of components allowing you to run audio
signals over a single run of Cat 5, 5e, 6 or 6a data cables. With a roll
of cable, these compact units are easily transported and/or stored
solving dozens of live and/or recording sound problems.

The InstaSnake is a passive unit, so you do not need power. The

InstaSnake accepts “mic” level or line level analog or digital audio
and supports phantom power when using shielded Cat 5 or 6 cables.
The basic units are a pair of passive units with bi-directional
capability which can be input directly into analog or digital consoles.
Designed to the highest professional standards the InstaSnake has
a wide, flat frequency response, low THD and residual noise. The
InstaSnake has been factory tested to 1900 feet over Cat 5 using
balanced line low impedance dynamic microphones. Phantom power
has been tested to 850 feet over shielded cable. (Phantom Power –
Shielded Cat 5 or 6 cables are required to pass phantom power with
the exception of the PA205, which does not require shielding.)
The InstaSnake Splitter (PA206) splits the signals at the receive
end and sends them to a recorder or mixer. [“analog only” It cannot
be used for digital]. A second Cat 5 cable connects the second
receiving unit – it handles phantom power. 4 additional standard mic
cables are required.
The InstaSnake is available in 2 basic send/receive units which
can be mounted in a 2 RU 19” rack, plus units with pigtails, and wall
plate versions. With (4) 1.5 ft. pigtails let you access any mixer
without the need for an additional 4 microphone cables.
Note: Neutrik cable carrier P/N NE8MC6-MO does not mate with
the InstaSnake PA200 Series. All other Neutrik cable carriers fit.
