CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

Solar Charging

1. Put the radio in strong sunlight, the solar panel will store the
solar energy in to the rechargeable battery pack automatically.

2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.

NOTE: 10-12 hours in the sun will allow about 3-5 hours of play

depending on volume levels.

Crank Charging

1. Pull out the crank in the back of the unit, then turn the
crank. The built-in dynamo will generate electricity and
the unit will store the electric energy into the battery pack
automatically.

2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.

NOTE: 90 seconds of cranking will result in 5-7 minutes

of low volume play.

Adaptor Charging

1. Open the rubber cover on the side of the unit. Plug one

end of the matching adaptor cable (not included) into the
AC electronic socket, plug the other end of the adaptor
cable into the < mini USB jack >, the electric energy will
store into the battery pack automatically.

2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.
The battery will be full in about 3~4 hours.

USB Charging

1. Plug a USB cable into the < mini USB jack > of the unit and
plug the other end into a computer. The electric energy will
store into the battery automatically.

2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.
The battery will be full in about 3~4 hours.

CELL PHONE DUMP CHARGING

Because cell phone batteries vary in their current ratings,
we cannot guarantee charging capabilities or usage time.

1. Set POWER/VOLUME control to OFF position.

2. Plug one port of the USB into your cell phone and the
other port into <USB Cell Phone Charger> of the unit..

3. Set < FM/AM/WB Select Knob> to CELL position.

NOTE: For crank-to-cell phone usage estimate, 10 to 15 minutes of

cranking may result in 1 or more minutes of talk-time. It is important
to turn the crank at least 2 revolutions per second, or until you see
the green LED above the crank handle turn on. This is an indication
that the phone is receiving enough power from the radio. Continue
to crank at this rate until you are satised that an appropriate level
of charge has been received by your cell phone. If you decide to stop
cranking for whatever reason, please wait at least 5 seconds before
beginning to crank again. Not following these instructions may cause
damage to your cell phone for which Eton disclaims any liability and
will not be held liable for any actual or consequential damages related
to this matter.

Using The Light

Press the <Light> button (on the top of the unit) and the
light will be on. Press the button again to turn off the light.

TURNING THE RADIO ON AND OFF

Turn it on with the OFF/VOLUME control.
To turn it off, set the OFF/VOLUME control to OFF.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME

Set VOLUME control to the desired level.

TUNING IN STATIONS

1. Select your desired band, and then rotate the
< Frequency Knob >. The tuning indicator will be on
when the antenna receives a strong signal.

Plug in earphones (not included). Sound is heard from both
sides in monaural.

your proof of purchase or the Limited Warranty information can

SERVICE FOR YOUR PRODUCT

To obtain service for your product, we recommend rst
contacting an Etón service representative at 800-872-2228
US, 800-637-1648 Canada or [phone] for problem
determination and trouble-shooting. If further service is
required, the technical staff will instruct how to proceed
based on whether the radio is still under warranty or needs
non-warranty service.

WARRANTY – If your product is still in warranty and

the Etón service representative determines that warranty
service is needed, a return authorization will be issued and
instructions for shipment to an authorized warranty repair
facility. Do Not ship your radio back without obtaining the
return authorization number.

NON-WARRANTY – If your product is no longer under

warranty and requires service our technical staff will refer
you to the nearest repair facility that will be able to best
handle the repair.

For service outside of North America, please refer to the
distributor information included at time of purchase/receipt.

RECHARGER LA BATTERIE

Recharge avec le Panneau Solaire

1. Exposez la radio au Soleil. Son panneau solaire convertit
l’énergie solaire et recharge automatiquement la batterie
rechargeable.

2. Pendant la recharge, le voyant de recharge “ “ est allumé.

REMARQUE: 10 à 12 heures de recharge au Soleil permettent une

TRANSFERT DE CHARGE VERS UN
TÉLÉPHONE PORTABLE

Les spécications des batteries de téléphone varient
énormément, nous ne pouvons par conséquent pas garantir
leurs caractéristiques de recharge et d’autonomie.

1. Positionnez le bouton d’ALIMENTATION/VOLUME sur OFF
(hors tension).

2. Branchez l’une des extrémités du câble USB sur votre
téléphone et son autre extrémité sur le <chargeur USB
de téléphone portable> de l’appareil.

3. Positionnez le <Sélecteur de bande FM/AM/WB> sur CELL
(téléphone portable).

REMARQUE: Lors de la recharge d’un téléphone portable avec la

manivelle, actionner la manivelle 10 à 15 minutes permet au minimum
1 minute d’autonomie en communication. Il est important de tourner la
manivelle à une vitesse d’au moins 2 tours/secondes ou sufsamment
vite pour que la LED verte présente au-dessus de la manivelle s’allume.
Cela indique que le téléphone reçoit une alimentation sufsante de
l’appareil. Continuez à tourner la manivelle à la même vitesse jusqu’à
ce que le téléphone soit sufsamment rechargé. Si vous décidez
d’arrêter de tourner la manivelle pour quelque raison que ce soit,
attendez au minimum 5 secondes avant de recommencer à la tourner.

Utiliser la Lampe

Appuyez sur le bouton <Lampe> (situé au-dessus de
l’appareil) pour allumer la lampe. Appuyez à nouveau sur le
bouton pour éteindre la lampe.

ALLUMER ET ÉTEINDRE LA RADIO

Tournez le bouton d’ALIMENTATION/VOLUME pour allumer

la radio.

Tournez-le sur OFF (hors tension) pour éteindre la radio.

RÉGLER LE VOLUME

Réglez le volume en tournant le bouton d’ALIMENTATION/
VOLUME.

RÉGLER LA FRÉQUENCE

1. Sélectionnez une bande radio, puis tournez le <Bouton
de réglage de la fréquence>. Le voyant de réception
s’allume quand un signal sufsamment fort est reçu par

l’appareil.

TIPOS DE ALIMENTACIÓN

CÓMO RECARGAR EL ACUMULADOR

Recarga utilizando energía solar

1. Coloque la radio en un lugar expuesto a la acción directa de
los rayos del sol. El panel solar canalizará la energía solar para
almacenarlo automáticamente en el acumulador recargable.

2. Durante el proceso de carga, el indicador de carga “ “
permanecerá encendido.

NOTA: dejando el aparato expuesto entre 10 y 12 al sol, se obtendrá

suciente carga como para que la radio tenga una autonomía de
funcionamiento de entre 3 y 5 horas en función del nivel de volumen
seleccionado.

Recarga utilizando la manivela

1. Extraiga la manivela situada en la parte posterior del
aparato y acciónela. La dínamo incorporada generará la
energía eléctrica necesaria que quedará almacenada
automáticamente en el acumulador.

2. Durante el proceso de carga, el indicador de carga “ “

permanecerá encendido.

NOTA: accionando la manivela durante 90 segundos se generará

suciente energía como para poder utilizar la radio entre 5
y 7 minutos a bajo volumen.

Recarga utilizando el adaptador de corriente

1. Abra la tapa de goma situada en el lateral del aparato.

Inserte el enchufe del cable del adaptador de corriente
(no incluido) en una toma de corriente adecuada e inserte
el conector situado en el extremo opuesto del cable
del adaptador de corriente en el <puerto mini USB> del
aparato. La energía generada por el adaptador recargará de
forma automática el acumulador incorporado.

2. Durante el proceso de carga, el indicador de carga “ “
permanecerá encendido.
El acumulador alcanzará su nivel máximo de carga al cabo
de entre 3 y 4 horas.

Recarga conectado a un puerto USB

1. Conecte un cable USB al <puerto mini USB> del aparato
e inserte el conector del extremo opuesto del cable al
puerto USB de un ordenador. La energía generada por el
ordenador recargará de forma automática el acumulador

incorporado.

2. Durante el proceso de carga, el indicador de carga “ “
permanecerá encendido.
El acumulador alcanzará su nivel máximo de carga al cabo
de entre 3 y 4 horas.

RECARGA DE MÓVILES MEDIANTE DESCARGA
DIRECTA DE ENERGÍA

Debido a que las pilas de los teléfonos móviles poseen
amperajes diferentes, no podemos garantizar la ecacia de la
función de carga ni la autonomía proporcionada por esta.

1. Desplace el mando de Encendido/Apagado/Ajuste del
volumen hasta la posición “Off” (apagado).

2. Enchufe un extremo del cable USB en el correspondiente
puerto de su teléfono móvil y el extremo opuesto al <USB
cargador de teléfono celular> del aparato.

3. Desplace el selector de banda de frecuencia < FM/AM/
WB> hasta la posición “CELL” (teléfono móvil).

NOTA: para recargar el teléfono móvil utilizando la manivela, deberá

tenerse en cuenta que accionando la manivela durante un intervalo
de entre 10 y 15 minutos podrá obtenerse una autonomía de
conversación de tan solo 1 o varios minutos. Es importante girar la
manivela a una cadencia de al menos 2 revoluciones por segundo
o hasta que se ilumine el indicador LED de color verde situado
encima de la manivela. Esto indicará que el teléfono está recibiendo
suciente alimentación de la radio. Continúe girando la manivela
a dicha cadencia hasta conseguir el nivel de carga adecuado para
su teléfono móvil. Si por cualquier motivo decide dejar de girar la
manivela, espere al menos 5 segundos antes de comenzar a girarla
de nuevo. De no seguirse estas instrucciones, podría llegar a provocar
daños en su teléfono móvil de los que Eton no se hará responsable.
Asimismo, Eton se exime de cualquier responsabilidad relacionada
con pérdidas o daños reales o consecuentes que de ello pudieran
derivarse.

Utilización de la linterna

Pulse el botón de la linterna (<Light>) situado en la parte
superior del aparato para encenderla. Vuelva a pulsar dicho
botón para pagarla.

Gire el mando de encendido/apagado/ajuste del volumen

para encender la radio.

Para apagarla, desplace el mando de encendido/apagado/
ajuste del volumen hasta la posición “Off” (apagado).

AJUSTE DEL NIVEL DE VOLUMEN

Ajuste el mando del volumen (VOLUME) al nivel deseado.

SINTONIZACIÓN DE EMISORAS

1. Seleccione la banda de frecuencia deseada y,
a continuación, gire el <mando de selección de
frecuencias>. El indicador de sintonización se encenderá
cuando la antena reciba una señal de suciente potencia.

SALIDA PARA AURICULARES

Conecte unos auriculares (no incluidos) al aparato. El sonido
emitido por los altavoces de los auriculares será monoaural.

SERVICIO DE REPARACIÓN DE SU PRODUCTO

Para obtener un servicio de reparación de su producto,
recomendamos, lo primero, que usted se ponga en contacto
con un representante del servicio de reparación de Eton,
llamando al 800-872-2228 EE.UU., 800-637-1648 Canadá
ó [phone] para determinar el problema y su solución.
Si se requiriera un servicio adicional, el personal técnico le
instruirá acerca de cómo proceder, dependiendo de si la radio
está todavía bajo garantía o de si necesita un servicio de no
garantía.

GARANTÍA – Si su producto aún se encuentra en

garantía y el representante de servicio de reparación de
Eton determina que es necesario un servicio de garantía, se
emitirá una autorización de envío de vuelta acompañada de
instrucciones de envío a una tienda autorizada de servicio de
reparación de garantía. No envíe su radio de vuelta sin previa
obtención de un número de autorización de devolución.

NO GARANTÍA – Si su producto ya no se encuentra en

garantía y requiere de servicio de reparación, nuestro
personal técnico le referirá a la instalación de reparación
más cercana y que mejor sea capaz de hacerse cargo de la

reparación.

Para el servicio de reparación fuera de Norteamérica, por
favor reérase a la información del distribuidor incluida en el
momento de compra/recibo del producto.
