POWER SOURCES

1. Rechargeable battery pack (included).

2. USB port (USB cord not included).

3. Solar power adapter.

CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

• Plug a USB cord into the USB socket.
Charging starts immediately.

• Turn the crank for about 90 seconds.

• The solar power adapter charges it automatically.

USING A USB ADAPTER

Plug the cord into the USB socket. Once plugged in, the
USB cord acts as a charger, charging the internal Ni-MH
battery pack. Charge it for 8 hours to achieve a full
charge

CELL PHONE CRANK CHARGING

Because cell phone batteries vary in their current ratings,
we cannot specify charging rates or usage time. 10 to 15
minutes of cranking may result in 1 or more minutes of
talk-time.

1. Set POWER/VOLUME control to OFF position.

2. Plug the cell phone charging cord into the Phone
Charge socket.

3. Select the correct charging tip for your phone.

4. Plug charging tip into the charging cord and into the
phone’s charging socket.

5. Rotate the dynamo crank about 2 turns per second.

TURNING THE RADIO ON AND OFF

Turn it on with the POWER/VOLUME control.
To turn it off, set POWER/VOLUME control to OFF.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME

Set POWER/VOLUME control to desired level.

TUNING-IN STATIONS

1. Select AM, FM or WEATHER (WB) with the band selec­tor switch. For FM and WEATHER (WB), fully extend
the telescopic antenna.

2. Adjust the volume with the POWER/VOLUME control.

3. Tune stations with the TUNING knob, or tune in
WEATHER (WB) with the 7-position switch.

USING THE LIGHT

Turn on the light with the light switch on the top of the
unit.

EARPHONE JACK

Plug in earphones (not included). Sound is heard from
both sides in monaural.

as possible after purchase or receipt. You may use one of

To obtain service for your product, we recommend rst
contacting an Etón service representative at 1-800-872-

[e-mail] or your respective country
distributor in Europe (see enclosed list) for problem
determination and trouble-shooting. If further service is
required, the technical staff will instruct how to proceed
based on whether the radio is still under warranty or

needs non-warranty service.

WARRANTY – If your product is still in warranty and the

Etón service representative determines warranty service is

needed, a return authorization will be issued and instruc­tions will be given. DO NOT ship your radio back without
obtaining the return authorization.

NON-WARRANTY – If your product is no longer under
warranty and requires service, the Etón service represen­tative will refer you to the nearest repair facility that will
best handle the repair.

CARGA DEL PAQUETE DE BATERÍA

• Tape una cuerda del USB en el socket del USB. La
carga empieza inmediatamente.

• Gire la manivela durante aprox. 90 segundos.

• El adaptador de energía solar realiza la carga automáti-

camente.

USAR UNA CUERDA DEL USB

Tape la cuerda en el socket del USB. Una vez que esté
enchufada, la cuerda del USB actúe como cargador,
cargando el paquete interno de la batería Ni-Mh. La
carga demora aprox. 8 horas hasta alcanzar su nivel de
carga completa.

CARGA DE MANIVELA PARA TELÉFONO
CELULAR

Ya que las baterías de los teléfonos celulares varían en
sus niveles de corriente, no podemos especicar los
niveles de carga o tiempo de uso. 10 a 15 minutos de

conversación por teléfono.

1. Coloque el conmutador VOLUME/POWER en la
posición OFF.

2. Inserte el cable de carga de teléfono celular en el
enchufe de carga de teléfono.

3. Seleccione la punta de carga correcta para su teléfono
celular.

4. Inserte la punta de carga en el cable de carga y en el
enchufe de carga de teléfono.

5. Gire la manivela de dinámo con una velocidad de
aprox. 2 giros por segundo.

ACTIVACIÓN Y DESACTIVACIÓN DE
LA RADIO

La radio se activa con el conmutador POWER/VOLUME.
Para desactivar la radio, coloque el conmutador POWER/
VOLUME en OFF.

Coloque el conmutador VOLUME/POWER para ajustar la
intensidad requerida.

SINTONIZACIÓN DE ESTACIONES

1. Seleccione AM, FM o WEATHER (WB) con el conmu­tador selector de banda. Para FM y WEATHER (WB)
debe extenderse la antena telescópica completa-

mente.

2. Ajuste el volumen con la perilla POWER/VOLUME.

3. Las estaciones se pueden sintonizar con la perilla TUN­ING o bien con sintonización de WEATHER (WB) con
el conmutador de 7 posiciones.

USO DE LA LUZ

La luz se activa con el conmutador de luz ubicado en la
parte superior de la unidad.

ENTRADA DE AURICULARES

Enchufe los auriculares (no incluidos). El sonido se escu­cha en ambos lados en modo monoaural.

REGISTRO DE GARANTÍA

Para asegurar la cobertura completa de la garantía o
adquirir actualizaciones del producto, debe registrar

Para solicitar algún servicio para su producto, le reco­mendamos contactar primero al representante de servicio

de Etón llamando al número de teléfono 1-800-872-2228
para los EE.UU., o al número de teléfono 1-800-637­1648 para Canadá ó [phone], customersvc@eton­corp.com o bien su distribuidor respectivo del país dentro
de Europa (véase la lista adjunta) para la localización y
resolución del problema. Si requiere un servicio adicional,
el equipo técnico lo instruirá de como proceder conside­rando si la radio aún posee garantía o si necesita servicio
técnico para un producto que ya no posee garantía.

GARANTÍA – Si su producto aún posee garantía y el rep­resentante de servicio de Etón determina que el servicio
de garantía sea necesario, se le enviará una autorización
de retorno e instrucciones de envío a una unidad de
servicio de reparación autorizada de la garantía. NO
ENVÍE su radio de regreso sin haber recibido el número de
autorización de retorno.

SIN GARANTÍA – Si su producto ya no posee garantía y
requiere servicio de nuestro equipo técnico, el represent­ante de servicio de Etón le indicará la unidad de repara­ción más cercana de su localidad que pueda ofrecer el
mejor servicio de reparación.

Para servicio fuera de América del Norte, por favor, con­sulte la información del distribuidor incluido en la fecha
de la compra o del recibo.
