OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The electric hot-air fan is designed to be used either as a source of heat in the cold season
or for fanning air in the summer period. The appliance is suitable for complementary
heating in smaller rooms or shops with the normal environment IEC 364 - 3 (HD 384.3 S1).
I. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Before starting the appliance into operation for the first time, read carefully this
User's Manual, study the diagrams shown in it and keep the Manual for future reference.
- Check, whether the voltage specifications shown in the appliance nameplate conform to
the voltage in your mains.
- The product is designed to be used in home and other like applications only!
- Take every precaution so that the appliance can never be used by children or
incompetent persons unattended!
- Never submerge the fan or any part of it in water!
- The product is not designed to be used in wet or humid environment or in one
involving the risk of fire or explosion. The appliance may not be used in
bathrooms. The appliance must never be used near the tub, shower or swimming
pool.
- The fan must not be placed directly underneath the electric socket. The appliance may
not be used directly in the corner of the room. It must be placed at least 15 cm from the
back wall and at least 15 cm from the wall on the right- or left-hand side from it
(Figure 1).
- The fan must be placed so that it is at least 0.5 m (measured in the direction of the
exhaust - the flow of hot air) from any volatile articles.
- To avoid the risk of fire, never cover the appliance with anything.
- Use the fan only in places where there is no risk that it might tip over.
- Never use the fan near other sources of heat.
- The fan features a thermal safety switch protecting it from overheating.
- Take care so that the appliance is entered by no debris, which could cause fire (such as
fluff). Clean the appliance whenever it contains any such dirt (see VI. MAINTENANCE).
- Never put your fingers or any articles in the intake or exhaust holes.
- Whenever plugging or unplugging the appliance, check whether the control knob is in the
0 position.
- Always use only undamaged electric lines of the correct type.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or by qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
- If the appliance is to be put out of operation permanently, make it inoperational by cutting
off the power cord after you have unplugged it from the mains.
- The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any damage caused by incorrect use of the
appliance.
