ROULETTE
Object
The object is to guess the number (or number within a group) or color of the slot that the ball
will wind up on.
How to Play
Playing roulette is very easy. The roulette mat supplied on one side of your Casino lid is
easy to pick out because it has “0” and “00” printed in white at the top of the columns of red
and black numbers. Place this mat on a table or other flat surface in front of you and put the
roulette wheel next to the mat. Divide the chips; making sure the bank keeps enough to pay
off on winning bets.
Players keep their chips in front of them and play by placing the number of chips the choose,
singly or in a stack, on the mat to indicate the number, group of numbers, or color they think
will win. Spin the wheel and drop the ball supplied onto the numbers. All best must be
placed by this time. The ball will eventually come to rest on one of the numbered spaces,
indicating the winning number and color.
Betting
The players all bet. A player can place on or as many bets as he wants, as long as he
doesn’t run out of chips, for each spin of the wheel. You can place on chip on one number
and a stack of chips on red or black, or another number in a combination you want.
One simple way to play is to bet on one number on the wheel. But one thing that makes
roulette such an interesting game is that not all bets are equal. Some kinds of bets return
much more than others. As a player gains experience playing roulette, you can try out some
of the other betting techniques. The amount returned depends on the kind of bet you make.
The safer the bet, the less it returns. The “long shot” bets, when they win, return the most.
Long Shot Bets
Below we explain the different kinds of bets that you can make in roulette, and the returns
they can yield.
Straight Bets (35 to 1)
There are 38 slots on the wheel, 1-36 plus 0 and 00. The squares in the upper part of the
layout are numbered from 1 to 36 with two additional numbers, 0 and 00. When a player
bets on one of these numbers, it is called a straight bet, and straight bets have the highest
payoff. When a straight bet wins, it pays off 35 chips from the casino or “house” for every
chip bet – plus, the player gets to keep the chip or chips they bet. A player could place a

Single number on the wheel, but his wouldn’t be a good strategy, since there are 38 numbers and the winning bet would only pay 35 chips.
So the house has the odds in its favor by 5.2%. In fact, almost every kind of bet in roulette
carries the same advantage for the house. But, it is possible to defy the odds, and even to
“break the bank” winning all the house’s chips.
Split Bets (17 to 1)
A player can put a chip or stack of chips on the line that separates two numbers. If either of
the numbers comes up, they win 17 times the bet, plus the original betting chips. For example, if you bet 2 chips, you get 34 new chips, plus the original 2-chip bet.
Comer Bets (8 to 1)
A bettor can also place their chips on the area that splits 4 numbers (four example, 1, 2, 4 &
5). If any one of these numbers wins, you win 8 chips for every one bet, plus, as always,
you keep the chips used to mark the bet.
Street Bets (11 to 1)
A player can put their chip or stack at the beginning of a row of three numbers. If one of
these wins, you get 11 chips for every chip bet, plus the original chips are returned.
Double Street Bets (5 to 1)
You can also place a bet on the line between 2 “streets” (for example, just to the left and
between the 1 & 4). If one of the six numbers wins, you get 5 chips for every one bet, plus
you keep your original betting chips.
Even (1 to 1) Bets
There are three kinds of bets a player can make that pay back 1 chip for each bet – plus, as
always, you keep the chip or stack of chips used to mark the bet. If you bet one chip, for
example, you get a chip from the bank and take back the chip you used to bet. So you
double the chips bet. This is called “even” or 1 to 1 odds.
Red or Black (1 to 1)
A player can place their chips on the red (or black) diamond on the mat (beneath the gold
“2nd 12” square) so that if the ball falls and stays on any red (or black) number, you win. You
would get 1 chip back for every chip bet on the winning color, plus you get back the original
chip used to mark the bet. Remember, this isn’t really a 50 – 50 chance, like flipping a coin,
since the numbers 0 and 00 are green. The ball could land in one of these and neither black
nor red would win.
The odd and even betting areas are gold, on each side of the red an black betting diamonds.
When a player places their chip on the part of the mat designated “Odd”, and the roulette
ball lands and stays on 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, or 35 –
you win. As in betting red or black, you get 1 chip for every chip bet, plus you get to keep
the original betting chip or chips. You can also bet “Even”, where you win if the ball stops
and stays on 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, or 36.
1-18 & 19-36 (1 to 1)
At the far edges of the line of betting spaces at the bottom of the long side of the mat are
areas to bet on 1-18 and 19-36. Like betting on Red or Black, or Odd or Even, this bet wins
one chip fore every chip bet, keeping the betting chips.
Other Bets
Dozen Bets (2 to 1)
There are 3 groups of numbers on the mat that correspond to 12 numbers – 1-12, 13-24 and
25-36. These betting squares are marked “1st 12”, “2nd 12”, and “3rd 12”. If a player places a
bet on 1 of these groups and 1 of the numbers wins, they get 2 chips for every 1 bet, plus
you keep your original betting chips.
Column Bets (2 to 1)
You can also place betting chips under one of the columns of numbers, on the gold betting
areas marked “2 to 1”. If one of these wins, you get 2 chips for every 1 bet plus you keep
your original betting chips.
CRAPS
Many players consider craps to be the most exciting casino game. It stems from and ancient
game. It uses a pair of dice, a betting mat and chips. Anyone can play.
Object
The basic object of craps is to predict whether the shooter – the person rolling the dice – will
win or loose. But many others, more specific predictions can become part of the game if a
player chooses.
How To Play
The craps mat is on the inside bottom of your Casino House. Divide the chips, making sure
the bank retains most of them in order to pay off on winning bets. Players take turns shooting the dice. All players may bet before the first roll. The
