INSTRUCTIONS for
SWIVEL POST ACCESSORY
For ESAB Power Sources with thread in Lifting Eyes
Item No. 36172
The insulated swivel post accessory permits
mounting select ESAB wire feeders directly to
the top of the welding power source. It allows
the wire feeder to rotate freely, increasing the
working area of the torch and minimizing potential
wire feed problems. The swivel post accessory may
be fitted to any model ESAB power source
equipped with a thread in style lifting eye. ESAB
wire feeders suitable for use with this accessory
are equipped with a vertical tube in the base to
accept this accessory.

To install the Swivel Post:
1. Remove the lifting eye bolt, if already installed,
from the top center of the power source.
2. Install the Swivel Post in place of the lifting eye
bolt and turn it in until hand tight.
3. Insert a suitable 1/4 in. rod through the hole of the
post and tighten the Swivel Post firmly.
4. Mount the Wire Feeder onto the Swivel Post
5. Dress all cables and hoses to permit free rotation
of the wire feeder on the swivel post. Check that
the cable bundle does not contact sharp edges
or corners as the feeder is rotated in normal use.
