2 INTRODUCTION

2.1 Oven use and purpose

The SDE-50 oven model is designed to dry and store stick welding electrodes at a desired temperature to remove moisture. 4 INSTALLATION

NOTE!
Make sure that the technical specification on the product corresponds to the electrical supply in your network.
Check the voltage, frequency information and check that there is no fault that will affect the operation of the product.

4.1 Operation

WARNING!
When the oven is not in use, turn the power knob to “O” position and remove power cord plug from electrical outlet.
Connect oven power cord plug to a power outlet as recommended in the technical information. Make sure the power outlet socket matches the oven power plug type.
Load electrodes onto oven shelfs (trays). Do not place anything else (packaging material, etc. as high temperature can burn it and cause fire inside the oven) besides electrodes on these metal trays. Do not overfill trays and make sure the door can be latched properly.
Lock the door.
On the oven control panel, to turn on the oven change power knob to “I” position.

APPENDIX
Once the power is turned on, depending upon the type of your oven i.e 1Φ one green lamp will glow or 3Φ three green pilot lamps will glow. If the lamps or not glowing, then check the power connection. Refer the below image.
Setting the desired temperature ○ When the unit is turned on the controller display will show the current
temperature and set value.
○ Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds to set a different
temperature. Use up and down keys to reach the desired set temperature. Once the controller read out shows the desired temperature, press SET key again.
○ The oven will now automatically heat up or cool down to the set
temperature. The oven will automatically turn off heating when the set temperature is reached. The green lamp will also turn off.
To remove electrodes from oven, when they have been dried at the desired temperature. ○ Open and release the release valve on the top to avoid the hot smoke
exhaust when opening the front door.
○ Either turn off the oven completely or cautiously remove from the metal
trays and transfer to a portable oven (like PSE 5 or 10).
WARNING!
To achieve the maximum drying of electrode it is recommended to use FIFO (First In First Out) principle. Must be cautious to not over-dry electrodes by leaving old electrodes inside oven while only removing the newly added electrodes.
