CORD & SPRING KIT
Includes: (1) Spring, (1) Short Kevlar cord, (1) Long Kevlar cord
From rear of pedal, insert loop of short cord through eyelet, located under |
top plate, toward front of pedal. Pass cord down and under rear black |
pulley, and attach spring to loop (Fig. A). Place cord inside pedal, under |
main cross shaft and let it lie there for now. |
Move pedal to “toe-up” position. From front of pedal, insert loop of long |
cord through rear side of eyelet toward front of pedal. |

Rotate brass pot pulley to full counter-clockwise position. Starting from |
back side of brass pulley (Fig. B), wind cord clockwise around 3 times. |
IMPORTANT: Cord must be wound from the inside of the pulley (nearest to |
the black mounting block), to the outside. Do not twist cord or wind it over |
itself. |

From the side of the open pedal, hold spring in place while carefully |
attaching the long cord's loop to remaining end of the spring (Fig. C). HINT: |
You may want to make a small hooking mechanism, possibly out of a paper |
clip, to perform this task. |

Pull long cord forward and onto the front black pulley (Fig. D). Make sure short cord is in place on back black pulley. Finally, from the front of the
open pedal, gently pull the spring forward while pressing firmly on rear of Figure D top plate until it bottoms out (Fig. E). Continue pulling the spring forward,
and turn brass pot pulley to full counter-clockwise position. This correctly seats the pot and cord.
