Adjustment Program (Version 3.1) for Stylus COLOR 1520 & 3000
Operating Instructions
1.Operating Environment:
l MS-DOS version 6.2 or higher. (The operation is also checked with Windows 95, both on the emulation mode (rebooting the system in MS-DOS mode) and on the DOS box.)
l CONFIG.SYS
Check the contents of your CONFIG.SYS file, and add the following command line if not exist ;
For MS-DOS version 6.1 or older : device=c:\<current directory>\ansi.sys or deviceheigh=c:\<current directory>\ansi.sys
l AUTOEXEC.BAT
Regardless of the type of OS, add the following command line, if it is not exist ; mode lpt1: retry=p (The above command deals with failure of raster data transmission and defines the endless number of retry to the printer port LPT1.)
Turn the PC on after finishing procedures above to enable the new settings.
2.Cautions
1)When you operate this program on the Windows 95, you cannot operate it with Status Monitor is running. Close Status Monitor on Task tray before executing the adjustment program.
2)There are three additional files supplied with the adjustment program; check pattern print program and spool data files. Copy these files in the same directory where you copy the adjustment program itself. Common execution file name SCSERIES.EXE (Version 3.1), PRNT2.EXE(for check pattern printing)
l For Stylus Color 1520 (These spool files are no changed.)
L2G0S.SPL, L2SFB4.SPL (Check pattern data file)
l For Stylus Color 3000 (These spool files are no changed.)
LPG0S.SPL, LPSFA3.SPL (Check pattern data file )
3)When five minutes or more has passed without any printing operation, the carriage will locked in the CR Lock position. In this case, turn the printer off once and back on again, then re-execute the adjustment program.
4)When you change the product destination data, close adjustment program once and reexecute it. By doing this, hardware initialization is performed and the destination data is stored in EEPROM without turning off the printer.
