Micro Piezo™ Printhead Technology

The permanent Micro Piezo™ printhead has
meticulous control of the printing process,
placing virtually invisible EPSON Micro Dots

- as small as the 5 picolitre EPSON Ultra
Micro Dot™ - on the page at high speed,
and with pinpoint accuracy.
In the EPSON Stylus PRO 10000 Series, the
number of nozzles has been increased by
180% to 180 per colour for a total of 1080
nozzles, for print speeds up to 3 times
faster than previous models.

EPSON Variable-Sized Droplet
Technology (VSDT)

This EPSON exclusive technology enables
the production of several different sizes of
ink droplet automatically depending on the
image type and media used. While the
smallest EPSON Ultra Micro Dots are reserved
for areas of the finest detail, larger dots up
to 39 picolitres are utilised in areas of
solid colour.
This system not only improves image quality
but optimises the print speed, and because
it is available in all printing modes, there
is no compromise in quality even at the
lowest resolution.

EPSON Auto Printhead Optimisation
System (APHOS)

The EPSON APHOS system is seen for the
first time in the new EPSON Stylus PRO
10000 Series. Utilising the latest laser­enhanced auto-detection technology, it
enables automatic detection of any blocked
nozzles before a page is printed. All 1080
nozzles can be checked in just 4 seconds,
and if a blocked nozzle is detected, the
print head cleaning cycle is automatically
initiated.
This eliminates both manual cleaning cycles
and wasted prints, to ensure consistent,
optimum print quality, even during long
unattended print runs.

EPSON Photo Accelerator
Technology (PAT)

The EPSON Stylus PRO 10000 utilises the
latest high performance ASIC technology to
maximise print data throughput and
thus achieve the ultimate in speed and
productivity. The printer driver compresses
the application print data without processing
and transmits it directly across the high
speed interface to the EPSON Photo
Accelerator module. The Photo Accelerator
then decompresses the data and applies

New high capacity ‘Intellidge™’ Ink Cartridge System

The EPSON Stylus PRO 10000 Series features an ink cartridge
system that includes individual 500ml ink cartridges - a significant
increase in size that enhances productivity and unattended printing
capabilities.

What’s more, each cartridge includes EPSON ‘Intellidge™’ technology,
which enables accurate monitoring of ink levels via the on-screen status monitor, and features a
Sub Tank System which enables cartridges to be replaced during printing with no loss of quality.

Also, if a partially used cartridge is replaced by a full one - say, for a long unattended print run ­when replaced it will ‘remember’ the amount of ink remaining and inform the status monitor
accordingly. Users can even view the number of printable pages available, with the remaining ink.

Safe job collection

EPSON specially formulated inks are dry the
instant they hit the paper, and so require
no additional drying time. This allows the
optional advanced Automatic Take-up Reel
feature to be used immediately the job has
completed without loss of valuable production
time. Ideally suited to extra long printouts,
banners and unattended overnight printing,
and enables easy transfer of the print sheet
to a lamination processor. As standard the
finished jobs are collected safely in a cloth
collection basket, ensuring that prints

EPSON Color Calibrator

This versatile tool enables
accurate, consistent colour

For the ultimate in image quality, durability and lightfastness, EPSON
has developed ColorFast ink incorporating EPSON Micro Encapsulation

it is possible to produce large format colour prints with a longevity in
excess of 200 years.

EPSON Micro Encapsulation technology encloses each
pigment particle in a resin coating, enabling penetration
