If you want to use paper rolls that are 58 mm or 60 mm {2.28 or 2.36"} wide,
install the paper roll spacer in the printer as described below.
Note:
If your printer has been used, do not change the paper width from narrow to wide;
otherwise, printing problems and paper cutting problems may occur. However, you
can always change the paper width from wide to narrow, and if the printer is new, you
can change from narrow to wide.
1. If you plan to use 60 mm paper rolls, break off the three tabs shown in
illustration 1. (If you plan to use 58 mm paper, leave the tabs on.)
2. Open the paper roll cover and insert the paper roll spacer into the paper
roll holder diagonally, as shown in illustration 2.
3. Lift the paper roll spacer a little and press it against the right edge of the
paper roll holder as indicated by arrow A. Then push the spacer with the
position indicated by ➀ and fit one of the two holes (60 mm or 58 mm)
over the protrusion of the paper roll holder. Press the paper roll spacer
with the position indicated by ➁ until it clicks into place.
4. With the paper roll cover open, turn the power on while pressing the
FEED button. Then press the FEED button twice and close the cover. The
printer prints instructions on the paper.
5. Open the paper roll cover and follow the instructions to set the NV
memory for the desired paper width.
