Cleaning

Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

1. Power On /Off: Power t he device on and off. Play/Paus e in multimedia mode.
2. Left/Right : Moves the cursor le ft/right. Goe s to the previous/next pa ge when reading. It is also
used to select the pr evious/next f ile (short press) or make a fast rewind/forward (long pr ess)
when playing audio or video.
3. Up/Down: Mov es the cursor up/dow n. Goes to the previ ous/next page when reading. It is also
used to select the previous/next picture when playing image files.
4. Return/Cancel b utton: Cancel a s election or to ret urn to previous me nu.
5. Earphone Jack: Connect earphones or other audio devices (not included).
6. Mini USB Jack: To connect to a compute r in order to transfer data or charge the reader.
7. MicroSD car d slot: It allows you to inser t MicroSD memory cards.
8. Enter button [M]: Enter menu, open files and sub-menus.
9. Zoom but ton: Zoom in and out of books and pictures.
10. Vol+: Increase volume when playing music or video.
11. Vol-: Decrease volume when playing music or video.
12. Rotate button: Rotate page when reading.
13. Reset bu tton: Restar t the device while unusual si tuation during operating or using.
14. DC Port : To charge the device with the USB -DC cable included or t hrough an external USB
charger (optional).
3. GETTING STARTED
Please f ully charge the batter y prior to the first use, as t here might be insufficient power in the

battery for normal operations.
≥ Please handle the de vice with care t o prevent damage to the disp lay screen.≥ Read this User Manual.
4. RECHARGING THE BATTERY
We recomme nd that your first three charges ta ke up to 12 hours each; thi s will extend the b attery
life as well as prov ide a longer usage time. Subsequent char ges will only need about 5 to 6 hour s
(USB-DC connection).
We strongly rec ommend using the DC por t to charge the dev ice, which provides shor ter charging
times than the Mini US B jack.

The player is powered by a special Li-ion polymer rechargeable battery. When the battery becomes
low, connect the read er via DC port/Mini USB Jack to y our computer USB por t.
Note: Only use ex ternal USB chargers with same po wer specificat ions. Use of an inappr opriate
exter nal power supply may cause failure of t he device and will void the warranty.
5. POWER ON / POWER OFF
When the device is po wered off, pres s and hold the On/Of f button for 3 secon ds to turn it on.
When the device is po wered on, press and hold the On /Off button for 3 seconds to turn it off.
6. FILE MANAGEMENT
6.1. CONNECTING COLOR BOOK 2074 TO THE COMPUTER
You should press power button t o turn on your Color Book 2 074, then connect the r eader to your
compute r through the Mini US B cable (included). Wait until your computer reco gnizes the read er
as a mass s torage device. T hen everything will be r eady to init data t ransfer.
6.2. MANAGING FILES
From the browser of y our computer you can c opy, delete and organize files or folder s. When you
connect t he device to the computer, it is not possible t o use the device at th e same time.
The internal memo ry files are org anized in various f olders that come from factory de fault options.
You can create, delet e and organize internal folders.
If you have a microSD c ard inserted, t he device will compile all the informat ion stored on it.
7. USING MICROSD CARDS
The eBook support s standard micr oSD cards for storing thousands of books, mus ic and pictures.
MicroSD c ard must be in FAT/FAT32 format.
≥ To begin, slide in t he card into the slo t.≥ The cont acts of the card f ace down, label face up.≥ Push the card gent ly until it clicks in to place.≥ To eject the car d, just push it in slightly.

You will know w hen the MicroSD is re ady to use when it appears a s TFCard devic e in the Explorer.
≥ If microSD card cannot be recognized by the de vice, you should again remov e the microSD card
and reboot the device.
≥ When the s ystem is reading o r writing data, please do no t remove the memor y card or reset t he
system.
≥ If you need t o reformat the microSD card please creat e a backup copy of your f iles previously
and format the micr oSD card in FAT/FAT32 file sys tem.
≥ Your Color Book 2074 can read microSD cards up to 3 2 GB.
8. USING YOUR COLOR BOOK 2074
8.1. USER INTERFACE
Please use these m ain keys for general operation and to nav igate through t he menus.
≥ Direct ion keys : Use thes e directional key s to move Up/Down /Left/Right or for direct ion
selecting.
≥ Confirm/Open
: Confir m the selection to enter item by pres sing [M] key.

≥ Return : Press t he return/canc el but ton to return t o previous menu.
8.2. SYSTEM MAIN MENU
The Main Menu appear s automaticall y when switching on the reader. If not, you can access t o
Main Menu fr om any other sub-m enu by pressing several times the re turn button. T he Main Menu
consists of the following s ections: "Bro wser history ", "eBook", "Music", "Photo", "Video", "Explorer",
"User manual", and "S ettings". Choose the one you need with the directional keys and enter it by
pressing the enter butt on [M].
