have been adhered to.

Power Sources:

This product should be operated only from the type of power source
indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply in your home, call your local power company.

Grounding or Polarization:

This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug.
This plug will fit the power outlet in only one way as a safety feature. If you
are unable to insert the plug, try reversing it. If the plug should still fail to fit,
contact your electrician to replace your outlet. Do not defeat the safety
purpose of the plug.

Power Cord Protection:

Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be
walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying
particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles and the
point where they exit from the product.

Overloading:

Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords, as this can result in a risk
of electrical shock.

Object and Liquid Entry:

Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they
may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that can result in a
fire or electrical shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

Servicing:

Do not attempt to service this product yourself as openings or removing
covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all
servicing to qualified personnel.

Heat:

This product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that
produce heat.

Non-Use Periods:

The power cord of the product should be unplugged from the outlet when
left unused for a long period of time.

Damage Requiring Service:

The product should be serviced by qualified personnel when: A.The power
supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance; or

finest components and materials made with sophisticated manufacturing
and quality control ensure that you will enjoy this exceptional
performance for many years.

IMPORTANT: Please retain the carton and packing material for this
ENERGY product to protect it in the event it ever has to be

shipped to a service center for repair. Product received damaged by
a service center that has been shipped by the end user in other than
the original packaging, will be repaired, refurbished and properly
packaged for return shipment at the end user’s expense.

POSITIONING & CONNECTING YOUR
ENERGY e:XL-SERIES SPEAKERS

For best performance, please follow the guidelines outlined below:

Left and Right Main Speakers

For best stereo separation, we recommend the speaker pair be placed
6 to 10 feet (2-3 m) apart and a minimum of 15-inches (40cm) from
the rear wall. The distance from the loudspeakers to the listener
should be about 1 to 1.5 times the distance separating the speakers.

See Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 for connection and placement.

Center Channel Speaker

The purpose of the center channel speaker is to ensure that the central
audio image, including actors’ voices, appear to emanate from the
screen. For best results the center channel speaker should be located
directly above or below the TV screen.

See Figure 1 and 6 for

connection and placement.

Surround/Effects Speakers

Surround effects speakers should be positioned adjacent to and slightly
behind the primary listening area, on the rear wall or in the ceiling to
provide the sense of spaciousness and ambiance for either Dolby Pro
Logic™ or the new Dolby Digital™ Surround source formats.

See Figures 1, 6, 7 for connection and placement.

POSITIONING & CONNECTING YOUR
ENERGY e:XL-28P SPEAKERS

The speaker is equipped with stabilizing bars which are required for
stability and must be fastened to the bottom of the speaker with the
machine bolts provided. These bars must be fastened to prevent risk
of damage to equipment and fatal injuries to persons.

A. Parts supplied:

B. Mounting instructions (See Diagram 2):

a. Position the e:XL-28P so the threaded inserts on the bottom

are visible.

b. Bolt the stabilizing bars to the inserts with the supplied bolts and

ensure that both are securely tightened.

The e:XL28P has a built in 100 watt amplified subwoofer that requires
connecting the supplied power cord to the speaker and an AC outlet.
Then, the e:XL28P can be connected exactly like a non-powered
model, using either conventional speaker wire, bi-wire, or bi-amp/bi-wire
configurations.

This model is also equipped with a Level Control & Low Frequency
Equalization Control.The variable Level Control will adjust the bass
output level. Start with the level in the 12 o'clock position which
produces balanced output between the low, mid and high frequencies,
and adjust to suit personal taste.

The low frequency equalization allows control of the extreme low
frequencies for perfect tailoring to the room's acoustic characteristics.
Start at the 12 o'clock position and rotate counter clockwise if the bass
is too boomy or unclear, clockwise for more bass impact

The LED located on the front may turn off when bass is absent for
extended periods but will automatically turn on when a bass signal
returns.

Recommended placement for best imaging, bass response and magnetic
shielding (See Diagram1)

CONNECTING THE SPEAKER
TO AN AMPLIFIER

Conventional Connection:

Connect the speaker wire from the positive (RED +) terminal on the
amp to the positive (RED+) terminal on the speaker. Connect the
negative (BLACK-) terminal on the amplifier to the negative (BLACK-)
terminal on the speaker. This method can be applied to bi-wireable
speakers as long as the shorting straps are in place on the terminals.
(see figure 1,2)

Bi-Wire Connection:

The musical improvements of bi-wiring your speakers can approach
those of bi-amping at a substantially lower cost. The standard
connection makes the wire common to the low, mid, and high
frequency crossover, which is not ideal. Bi-wiring eliminates the
common impedance and as a result dramatically cleans up the transition
between low and high frequencies. This type of connection is possible
on the Energy e:XL-25, e:XL-26 and e:XL-28P. Some companies sell
bi-wire cables, but you can also use one cable for low frequencies and
one for high frequencies for this purpose. Remove the shorting straps.
The tweeter's terminals are on top, the woofer's on the bottom. Twist
the positive leads of the two wires together so they can both be
inserted into the positive terminal on the amplifier. Follow the same
procedure for the negative leads.Then connect the two positive leads
to the positive terminals in back of the speaker, and the negative leads
to the negative terminals. (see figure 3)

Bi-amp/Bi-wire Combination Connection:

This method uses separate amplifiers for the left and right speakers.
Make sure the shorting straps have been removed. Take the negative
leads from both the left and right channels of the left amplifier and
connect one to the top negative lead, the tweeter, and one to the
bottom negative lead, for the woofer. Repeat this process for the
positive leads. Follow the same method for connecting the right
amplifier to the right speaker. (see figure 4)

ENERGY Powered Subwoofers

Low frequencies are essentially non-directional, so your subwoofer may
be placed anywhere in the listening room, without affecting the stereo
image of your main speakers. However, placement too near the corner
of the room may result in “boomy” bass performance. Positioning the
subwoofer further from the corner will normally result in more detailed
and accurate performance. For larger rooms, two or more subwoofers
may be used.

Owner’s Manual of your Subwoofer.

Amplifier Requirements

ENERGY loudspeakers have been designed to be driven to high

listening levels with moderate power, while at the same time being
capable of handling the power output of large amplifiers. Most
ENERGY speakers have 8 ohm nominal impedance, and will function
well with a wide range of amplifiers and receivers.

NOTE: If using more than one pair of speakers per amplifier or
receiver, please check with the amplifier manufacturer to confirm that
the amplifier can handle loads of 4 ohms.

CARE OF FINISHES

Your speakers should be gently wiped clean with a damp cloth from
time to time to remove any dust or stains. Do not use an abrasive
cleaner. To remove dust from the grille cloth, use the brush attachment
on your vacuum cleaner or a slightly dampened sponge.

Reinigen

Lüftung

Betrieb des Produktes und schützen vor Überhitzung. Sie dürfen nicht blockiert oder bedeckt
werden.Wenn das Produkt auf ein Bett, ein Sofa, einen Teppich oder eine andere Unterlage
gestellt wird, sollten sie ebenso niemals blockiert werden. Das Produkt sollte nicht in
Einbaumöbel wie z.B. ein Buchregal oder einen Bücherschrank plaziert werden, es sei denn die
Lüftung ist genügend oder die Anweisungen des Herstellers werden befolgt.

Netzanschluß

Das Produkt sollte nur an ein Stromnetz angeschlossen werden, das mit den Angaben auf dem
Markenschild übereinstimmt. Bei Unklarheiten über die Art der Stromversorgung Ihres Hauses
bitte Ihren Händler oder Ihr Stromversorgungsunternehmen zu Rate ziehen. Bei Produkten, die
mit Batteriestrom oder von anderen Stromquellen versorgt werden, bitte die

Erdung oder Verpolsicherung

Das Produkt ist mit einem WS-Stecker mit Verpolschutz (ein Stecker, bei dem ein Kontakt

breiter ist als der andere) ausgerüstet. Dieser Stecker kann aus Sicherheitsgründen nur in einer
Richtung in eine Steckdose gesteckt werden.Versuchen Sie den Stecker anders herum
einzustecken, wenn er nicht in die Steckdose passen will. Klappt es immer noch nicht, raten wir
Ihnen, einen Elektriker kommen zu lassen, um die alte Steckdose auszutauschen.AUF KEINEN
FALL die Sicherheitsbestimmung des Verpolschutzes umgehen.Verbindungsschnurschutz Die
elektrischen Verbindungsschnüre sollten so verlegt werden, daß nicht über sie gelaufen wird
oder daß sie nicht von auf ihnen liegenden Gegenständen eingeklemmt werden. Dabei sollte
besondere Aufmerksamkeit den Stellen zukommen, wo die Schnüre in einem Stecker bzw. einer
Steckdose enden oder an dem Punkt, wo sie von dem Produkt wegführen.

Überbelastung

Steckdosen oder Verlängerungsschnüre sollten nicht überbelastet werden, da sonst Feuergefahr
oder Risiken von Stromschlägen bestehen.

Eindringen von Gegenständen oder Flüssigkeiten

Niemals sollten Gegenstände irgendwelcher Art durch die Öffnungen in dem Produkt gesteckt
werden, da dadurch Kontakte unter Spannung berührt oder Teile kurzgeschlossen werden
können, was zu Feuergefahr oder Risiken von Stromschlägen führen könnte. Ebenso sollten
niemals Flüssigkeiten irgendwelcher Art über das Produkt verschüttet werden.

Reparatur und Wartung

Niemals versuchen, selbst das Produkt zu reparieren oder zu warten, da man bei Lösen oder
Entfernen der Wände berührungsgefährlicher Spannung oder anderen Gefahren ausgesetzt sein
kann.

Wärmequellen

Das Produkt sollte nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen wie z.B. Heizkörpern, Heizrohren,
Öfen oder anderen wärmeerzeugenden Geräten (inklusive Verstärkern) aufgestellt werden.

Perioden der Nichtbenutzung

Bei längeren Perioden der Nichtbenutzung sollte die Verbindungsschnur des Produktes aus der
Steckdose gezogen werden.

Inanspruchnahme eines Kundendienstes bei Schäden

Das Produkt sollte von einem qualifizierten Kundendienst reparier t und gewartet werden, wenn
a) die Verbindungsschnur oder der Stecker beschädigt wurde oder
b) Gegenstände in das Gerät gefallen oder Flüssigkeit über es verschüttetwurde oder
c) das Produkt im Regen stand oder
d) das Gerät nicht mehr normal funktioniert oder in seiner Klangwiedergabe einen

offensichtlichen Wechsel zeigt oder

e) das Produkt hingefallen ist oder das Gehäuse beschädigt wurde.

Installierung der

ENERGY-Lautsprecher bei sich zu Hause erleichtern.

Intensive Untersuchungen und große Sorgfalt in jeder einzelnen
Entwicklungsstufe haben es

ENERGY ermöglicht, Lautsprecher mit

außergewöhnlichen Leistungsmerkmalen herzustellen, die sich mit denen
anderer Lautsprecher, die zwei- bis dreimal so teuer sind, messen
können oder sie sogar übertreffen. Hochwertige, mit anspruchsvollen
Verarbeitungsmethoden und unter ständiger Qualitätskontrolle
hergestellte Komponenten und Materialien gewähren Ihnen viele Jahre
Freude an diesem Produkt und seiner ausgezeichneten Leistung.

WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Bitte, bewahren Sie Verpackungskarton
und -material dieses

ENERGY-Produktes auf, damit das Produkt im

Fall einer Reparatur beim Versand an ein Service-Center richtig
geschützt ist. Produkte, die beschädigt in einem Service-Center
ankommen und vom Endverbraucher nicht in der Original-Verpackung
verschickt wurden, werden auf Kosten des Endverbrauchers repariert
und für den Rückversand ordnungsgemäß verpackt.

AUFSTELLEN UND ANSCHLIESSEN DER
ENERGY-LAUTSPRECHER (e:XL SERIE)

Um die Leistungsfähigkeit der Lautsprecher voll auszunützen, bitte
nachstehende Anweisungen befolgen:

Rechter und linker Front-Lautsprecher

Um einen optimalen Stereo-Effekt zu erhalten, empfehlen wir, die
beiden Lautsprecher 2 - 3 m voneinander und mindestens 40 cm von
der Wand entfernt aufzustellen. Der Abstand zwischen den
Lautsprechern und dem Hörer sollte etwa 1 bis 1 1/2 mal dem Abstand
entsprechen, der die Lautsprecher trennt.

Siehe Abbildungen 1, 2, 3,

4, 5, 6 für das Anschließen und das Aufstellen.

Center-Lautsprecher

Der Center-Lautsprecher soll sicherstellen, dass der zentrale
Audio-Effekt, einschließlich der Stimmen der Schauspieler, aus dem
Fernsehbildschirm zu kommen scheint. Um ein optimales Ergebnis zu
erreichen, sollte der Center-Lautsprecher direkt über oder unter dem
TV-Bildschirm aufgestellt werden.

Siehe Abbildungen 1, 6 für das

Anschließen und das Aufstellen.

Surround-Lautsprecher

Die Lautsprecher für Surround-Effekte sollten neben und ein wenig
hinter dem Haupthörbereich an der Rückwand oder an der Decke
installiert werden, um den Raumklangeffekt des Dolby Pro Logic™
oder des neuen Dolby Digital™ Surround Systems zu vermitteln.

Siehe Abbildungen 1, 6, 7 für das Anschließen und das
Aufstellen.

AUFSTELLEN UND ANSCHLIESSEN DER
ENERGY-LAUTSPRECHER (e:XL-28P)

Der Lautsprecher ist mit formschönen Füßen ausgerüstet, die ihm
Stabilität verleihen und an der Unterseite des Lautsprechers
angeschraubt werden. Die Füße dienen zur Vermeidung von materiellen
Schäden und Verletzungen.

A. Mitgelieferte Teile:

a. 4 Kreuzschlitzschrauben b. 4 formschöne Füße

B. Anweisungen zur Montage der Füße (Siehe Abbildung 2):

a. e:XL-29P Lautsprecher so plazieren, daß die Gewindebuchsen an der

Unterseite des Lautsprechers zu sehen sind.

b. Formschöne Füße in die Buchsen einschrauben und sicherstellen,

daß sie fest sitzen.

Der e:XL-28P Lautsprecher ist mit einem verstärkerbestückten 100
Watt Subwoofer ausgerüstet, dessen mitgeliefertes Netzkabel an den
Lautsprecher und an eine Steckdose angeschlossen werden muß. Die
e:XL-28P Box kann dann auf die gleiche Art und Weise wie ein passives
Modell anhand der konventionellen, der Bi-Wiring oder der
Bi-Amping/Bi-Wiring Anschlußmethode verkabelt werden.

Der Lautsprecher ist ebenso mit einer Pegel- und einer NF-EQ­Regelung ausgestattet. Anhand der Pegelkontrolle können die Bässe des
Subwoofers ausgesteuert werden. Stellen Sie den Pegel auf 0° Grad ein.
Das Resultat ist ein ausgeglichener Pegel zwischen niedrigen, mittleren
und hohen Frequenzen. Danach können Sie je nach persönlichem
Geschmack andere Einstellungen vornehmen.

Die EQ-Regelung gestattet das Aussteuern besonders tiefer Frequenzen,
um sich räumlichen Gegebenheiten optimal anzupassen. Stellen Sie den
Regler auf 0° Grad ein und drehen Sie ihn nach links, wenn die Bässe
dröhnen oder verschwommen sind, nach rechts, wenn Sie eine vollere
Wiedergabe wünschen.

Empfehlungen für das Aufstellen der Boxen, damit Stereo-Effekt,
Baßwiedergabe und magnetische Abschirmung optimal gewährleist
et sind (siehe Abbildung 1).

ANSCHLUß DER LAUTSPRECHER AN
DEN VERSTÄRKER

Konventionelle Anschlußart:

Verbinden Sie zunächst den positiven (ROT+) Anschluß am Verstärker
mit dem positiven Anschluß (ROT+) am Lautsprecher.Verbinden Sie
danach den negativen (SCHWARZ-) Anschluß am Verstärker mit dem
negativen Anschluß (SCHWARZ-) am Lautsprecher. Diese Methode
funktioniert auch mit auf Bi-Wiring ausgerüsteten Lautsprechern,
vorausgesetzt daß Kurzschlußbrücken an den Anschlußklemmen
vorhanden sind (siehe Abbildung 1,2)

Anschlußart Bi-Wiring:

Die musikalische Verbesserung, die Ihr System bei dieser Anschlußart
erfährt, kommt jener nahe, bei der Ihre Lautsprecher mittels Bi-Amping
verkabelt werden, nur daß sie mit weniger Kosten verbunden ist. Bei der
konventionellen Anschlußart werden die Signale über eine gemeinsame
Leitung zurückgeführt, also auch die Masseleitung der Frequenzweiche
zur Aufteilung in tiefe, mittlere und hohe Frequenzen und dies ist keine
ideale Lösung. Beim Bi-Wiring entfällt nun die gemeinsame Impedanz
und führt somit zu einer drastischen Verbesserung des Übergangs von
niedrigen zu hohen Frequenzen. Diese Anschlußart ist möglich bei den
Modellen Energy e:XL-25. e:XL-26 und e:xL-28P. Einige Firmen
verkaufen besonderes Bi-Wiring Kabel, aber Sie können genau so gut
ein Kabel für niedrige Frequenzen und ein anderes für hohe Frequenzen
benutzen. Entfernen Sie die Kurzschlußbrücken an der Rückwand. Die

Anschlußklemmen des Hochtöners liegen oben, die des Tieftöners
unten.Verdrillen Sie die positiven Leiter der beiden Kabeladern, damit
sie beide an der positiven Anschlußklemme des Verstärkers
angeschlossen werden können.Wiederholen Sie den gleichen Vorgang
für die negativen Leiter. Schließen Sie dann die beiden positiven Leiter
an den positiven Klemmen und die beiden negativen an den negativen
auf der Rückseite des Lautsprechers an (siehe Abbildung 3).

Anschlußart Kombiniertes Bi-Amping/Bi-Wiring:

Bei dieser Anschlußmethode werden separate Verstärker für den linken
und rechten Lautsprecher verwendet.Achten Sie darauf, daß die
Kurzschlußbrücken entfernt wurden. Nehmen Sie die negativen Leiter
des linken und rechten Kanals des linken Verstärkers und verbinden Sie
einen mit der negativen Klemme des Hochtöners und den anderen mit
der negativen Klemme des Tieftöners. Wiederholen Sie den gleichen
Vorgang mit den positiven Leitern. Befolgen Sie die gleichen Schritte für
den Anschluß des rechten Verstärkers an den rechten Lautsprecher
(siehe Abbildung 4).

ENERGY Subwoofer mit Leistungsverstärker

Niedrige Frequenzen werden im wesentlichen nicht in eine bestimmte
Richtung abgestrahlt. Daher kann der Subwoofer an jeder beliebigen
Stelle im Hörbereich aufgestellt werden, ohne dass der Stereo-Effekt
der Front-Lautsprecher beinflusst wird. Achtung:Wird ein Subwoofer in
unmittelbarer Nähe der Zimmerecke aufgestellt, kann dies ein Dröhnen
der Bässe zur Folge haben. Steht er jedoch etwas vor, wird norm
alerweise eine bessere und genauere Wiedergabe erreicht. In größeren
Räumen können zwei oder mehrere Subwoofer aufgestellt werden.

Beziehen Sie sich auf die Betriebsanleitung für das
Anschließen des Subwoofers.

Bedingungen für Verstärker

ENERGY Lautsprecher sind hergestellt worden, um mit

verhältnismäßig geringer Leistung auf eine hohe Lautstärke gebracht
zu werden, können es aber auch gleichzeitig mit großen Lautsprechern
aufnehmen. Die meisten

ENERGY Lautsprecher haben eine

Nenn-Impedanz von 8 Ohm und können in Verbindung mit den
verschiedensten Verstärkern und Empfängern benutzt werden.

ANMERKUNG: Bei Benutzung von mehr als zwei Lautsprechern
pro Verstärker oder Receiver, erkundigen Sie sich bitte bei dem
Hersteller, ob der Verstärker mit 4 Ohm belastet werden kann.

PFLEGE DER BOXEN

Pulizia

Prima di procedere alla pulizia del prodotto, staccarlo dalla presa di corrente nella parete. Non
utilizzare detersivi liquidi od aerosol, ma ricorrere ad un panno umido.

Attacchi

Non impiegare attacchi diversi da quelli raccomandati dal fabbricante del prodotto per non
provocare rischi.

Acqua ed umidità

Non utilizzare il prodotto in vicinanza dell' acqua: per esempio, vicino ad una vasca da bagno, un
lavandino del bagno, un lavandino di cucina o una tinozza per lavare la biancheria, in uno scantinato
umido o vicino ad una piscina.

Aerazione

Il mobiletto è provvisto di apposite aperture e fessure per l'aerazione in grado di assicurare il
funzionamento efficiente del prodotto proteggendolo dal surriscaldamento: tali aperture non devono
essere nè bloccate nè coperte. Affinchè non si verifichi mai un bloccaggio, fare attenzione a non
appoggiare il prodotto su un letto, un divano, un tappeto od altre superfici simili. Evitare anche di
collocarlo in un elemento incassato come una libreria o uno scaffale a meno che non vi sia aerazione
adeguata, o siano state rispettate le istruzioni del fabbricante.

Fonti di energia

Il prodotto deve essere fatto funzionare solo mediante la fonte energetica indicata sull'etichetta
d'identificazione. Nel caso d'incertezza circa il tipo di alimentatore usato nella vostra abitazione,
contattate il dettagliante o l'azienda elettrica locale. Per i prodotti alimentati da batteria, od altra fonte
energetica, consultare le istruzioni per il funzionamento.

Collegamento a terra o polarizzazione

Il prodotto può essere fornito di linea a corrente alternata con spina polarizzata (cioè, una spina con
una lamella più larga dell'altra). Questo tipo di spina può essere infilato nella presa elettrica in un
solo modo, costituendo quindi un
elemento di sicurezza. Se non è possibile inserire completamente la spina nella presa, provare a
capovolgerla. E se la spina continua a non inserirsi, contattare un elettricista che provveda a sostituire
la presa ormai inadeguata. È importante NON rendere inoperante l'elemento di sicurezza presente
nella spina polarizzata.

Protezione del cavo di alimentazione

I fili elettrici devono essere disposti in modo da non venire calpestati o compressi da oggetti che pos­sono esservi appoggiati sopra o contro; prestare particolare attenzione ai fili a livello delle spine, delle
prese di corrente, e del punto in cui fuoriescono dal prodotto.

Sovraccarico

Evitare di sovraccaricare le prese nella parete o i prolungamenti dato che ciò può provocare rischio
d'incendio o di scossa elettrica.

Introduzione di un oggetto o di liquido

Non introdurre mai alcun oggetto nel prodotto attraverso le aperture dato che questo può venire a
contatto con punti pericolosi della tensione o tratti di cortocircuito generando un incendio o scossa
elettrica. Inoltre, fare sempre attenzione a non versare alcun liquido sul prodotto.

Manutenzione

Evitare di effettuare la manutenzione del prodotto da soli dato che aprire o togliere le coperture può
esporre a tensione pericolosa od altri rischi.

Calore

Il prodotto deve essere collocato lontano da fonti di calore come radiatori, elementi riscaldanti,
stufe od apparecchiature elettriche che generano calore (inclusi gli amplificatori).

Periodi di inattività

Il cavo di alimentazione del prodotto dovrebbe essere staccato dalla presa durante lunghi periodi di
non utilizzo.

Danni che richiedono manutenzione

Il prodotto deve essere sottoposto a manutenzione eseguita da personale qualificato quando:
(A) il cavo di alimentazione o la spina sono stati danneggiati, oppure

(B) degli oggetti sono caduti dentro il prodotto, od è stato versato del liquido sull'apparecchio,

ricerca approfondita, accompagnata da cura minuziosa nel corso di ogni
fase della progettazione, ha permesso alla

ENERGY di produrre

altoparlanti in grado di fornire un’elevata prestazione, ad un livello pari o
superiore a quello di altri altoparlanti il cui costo è ben più alto.
Componenti e materiali di primissima scelta, assemblati con un processo
sofisticato e controllo qualitativo, vi permetteranno di godere per molti
anni un rendimento veramente eccezionale.

IMPORTANTE: fate attenzione a conservare la scatola e il
materiale d’imballaggio del prodotto

ENERGY in modo da poterlo

proteggere se dovesse essere spedito ad un centro di assistenza
tecnica per riparazioni. Qualora tale centro riceva un prodotto
danneggiato e non spedito nel suo imballaggio originale, ogni spesa di
riparazione, revisione ed imballaggio adeguato per la spedizione di
ritorno sarà a carico dell’utilizzatore.

Per ottenere il massimo rendimento, siete pregati di seguire le istruzioni
che seguono:

Altoparlanti principali di destra e sinistra

Per una separazione stereo ottimale, si raccomanda che i due
altoparlanti vengano posti ad una distanza, l’uno dall’altro, che vada
dai 6 ai 10 piedi (2-3 m.), e ad un minimo di 15 pollici (40 cm.) dalla
parete posteriore. La distanza tra chi ascolta e gli altoparlanti dovrebbe
corrispondere all’incirca ad una volta o una volta e mezzo la distanza di
separazione tra gli altoparlanti.

Rivolgetevi alle illustrazioni 1,2, 3,

4, 5, 6 per la connessione e la collocazione.

Altoparlante del canale centrale

Lo scopo dell’altoparlante del canale centrale è di assicurare che
l’immagine audio centrale, incluse le voci degli attori, sembri emanare
dallo schermo. Per un migliore risultato, l’altoparlante del canale
centrale dovrebbe essere collocato direttamente al di sopra, o al di
sotto dello schermo televisivo.

Altoparlanti con effetti ambiofonici

Gli altoparlanti con effetti ambiofonici dovrebbero essere posti vicino,
e leggermente dietro, all’area di maggiore ascolto, sia sulla parete

ed atmosfera per le caratteristiche d’entrata del Dolby pro Logic

MODALITÀ PER LA COLLOCAZIONE E
CONNESSIONE DEGLI ALTOPARLANTI
ENERGY SERIE e:XL-28P

L'altoparlante è dotato di appoggi in stile, necessari per conferire stabil­ità, che vanno assicurati sul fondo dell'altoparlante mediante i bulloni
forniti. Occorre effettuare questo fissaggio per prevenire il rischio di
danni all'impianto e di lesioni mortali alle persone.

B. Istruzioni per il montaggio (v.Diagramma 2):

a. Collocare l'Energy e:XL-29P in modo che sul fondo siano visibili gli
inserti filettati.
b. Con i bulloni forniti, inserire gli appoggi negli inser ti e controllare
che siano serrati in modo saldo.

L'Energy e:XL-29P contiene un subwoofer amplificato di 100 watt per
cui il cavo di alimentazione fornito va allacciato sia all'altoparlante che
ad una presa di corrente alternata. Successivamente, la connessione
dell'Energy e:XL-29P può avvenire esattamente come in un modello
privo di alimentazione, utilizzando un filo convenzionale per altoparlante,
un cavo bifilare, o configurazioni bifilare/bi-ampere.

Questo modello è anche munito di un regolatore di livello e di un
regolatore per l'equalizzazione delle basse frequenze. Il regolatore di
livello variabile bilancia il livello d'uscita dei bassi. All'inizio, porre il livello
nella posizione oraria corrispondente al 12 per ottenere un'uscita
equilibrata tra basse, medie ed alte frequenze, quindi regolare a seconda
della propria preferenza.

L'equalizzazione delle basse frequenze permette di controllare le fre­quenze estremamente basse in modo da adattarle alle caratteristiche
acustiche della stanza. Iniziare nella posizione oraria corrispondente al
12, poi girare in senso antiorario se i bassi rimbombano troppo o non
sono sufficientemente chiari, ed in senso orario per un loro maggiore
impatto.

Posizione raccomandata per ottimizzare la riproduzione delle immagini,
la risposta dei bassi e la schermatura magnetica (v. Diagramma 1).

COLLEGAMENTO DELL'ALTOPARLANTE
ALL'AMPLIFICATORE

Collegamento convenzionale:

Collegare il filo dell'altoparlante dal terminale positivo (ROSSO+)
sull'amplificatore a quello positivio (ROSSO+) sull'altoparlante.
Collegare il terminale negativo (NERO-) sull'amplificatore a quello
negativo (NERO-) sull'altoparlante. Si può ricorrere a questo metodo
con altoparlanti doppiamente collegabili purchè gli allacciamenti del
cortocircuito si trovino sui terminali (v. illustrazioni 1,2).

Collegamento a doppio filo:

I miglioramenti a livello musicale che si registrano collegando gli
altoparlanti a doppio filo si avvicinano a quelli della doppia amplifi­cazione, ma ad un costo notevolmente inferiore. Il collegamento tipo fa
sì che il filo venga condiviso con l'incrocio delle basse, medie ed altefre­quenze: una soluzione tutt'altro che ideale. L'utilizzo del doppio filo
elimina l'impedenza comune e, di conseguenza, rende notevolmente più
chiara la fase di transizione tra le basse ed alte frequenze. Questo tipo
di collegamento può essere applicato ai modelli Energy e:XL-25,
e:XL-26 e e:XL-28P. Vi sono ditte che vendono cavi a doppio filo;
tuttavia, si può anche usare un cavo per le basse frequenze ed un altro
per quelle alte. Togliere gli allacciamenti del cortocircuito; i terminali
dell'altoparlante per le note alte si trovano nella parte superiore,
quelli del woofer in basso. Attorcigliare insieme i conduttori positivi dei
due fili in modo che entrambi possano essere inseriti nel terminale
positivo dell'amplificatore. Seguire il medesimo procedimento per i
conduttori negativi. Successivamente, collegare i due conduttori positivi
ai terminali positivi posti sul retro dell'altoparlante, e quelli negativi ai
terminali negativi (v. illustrazione 3).

Connessione con combinazione a doppia
amplificazione/doppio filo:

Questo metodo utilizza amplifictori separati per gli altoparlanti di
destra e sinistra. Accertarsi che siano stati tolti gli allacciamenti del
cortocircuito. Prendere i conduttori negativi da entrambi i canali destro
e sinistro dell'amplificatore sinistro e collegarne uno al conduttore
negativo in alto, per l'altoparlante delle note alte, e l'altro al conduttore
negativo in basso, per il woofer. Ripetere il procedimento per i
conduttori positivi. Seguire lo stesso metodo anche per collegare
l'amplificatore destro all'altoparlante destro (v. illustrazione 4).

Altoparlanti amplificati dei bassi ENERGY

Le basse frequenze sono essenzialmente non direzionali, quindi potete
collocare il vostro altoparlante dei bassi in un qualsiasi punto della
stanza d’ascolto, senza influire sull’immagine stereo degli altoparlanti
principali. Tuttavia, collocarli troppo vicino all’angolo della stanza può
provocare un risultato di bassi che “rimbombano”, mentre porli a
distanza dall’angolo fornisce generalmente una prestazione più chiara
ed accurata. In una stanza più grande, si possono utilizzare due o più
altoparlanti dei bassi.

Caratteristiche dell’amplificatore

Gli altoparlanti ENERGY sono stati progettati in modo da poter
raggiungere alti livelli di ascolto con potenza media e in grado di
sostenere, al tempo stesso, la potenza di uscita di grandi amplificatori.
La maggior parte degli altoparlanti

ENERGY presentano un’impedenza

nominale di 8 ohms, e possono funzionare bene con un’ampia gamma
di amplificatori e di ricevitori.

NOTA: utilizzando più di un paio di altoparlanti per amplificatore o
ricevitore, è bene controllare col fabbricante dell’amplificatore che il
prodotto sia in grado di sostenere carichi di 4 ohms.

COME AVER CURA DELLA FINITURA

Si consiglia di strofinare leggermente gli altoparlanti, di tanto in tanto,
con un panno umido in modo da togliere la polvere o le macchie. Non
usare detersivi abrasivi. Per eliminare la polvere dal tessuto della griglia,
ricorrere alla spazzola dell’aspirapolvere o ad una spugna appena umida.
