Battery Install ation
1.) Open the battery compartment (located on the rear of the unit) by rotating the screws anti-clockwise.
2.) Lift off the c over.
3.) Insert 2 “AAA” batteries (not included) according to the polarity diagrams in the compartment.
4.) Put the battery compartment cover back. Rotate the screws clockwise to secure.
Listening To The Radio
• Replacement of batteries must be done by an adult.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed.
• Only batteries of the equivalent type are to be used.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Dispose of batteries properly. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. The batteries may explode or leak.
Battery Precautions
1.) Rotate the On/OFF-VOLume control clockwise to turn the unit ‘On’.
2.) Rotate the Band switch to select AM or FM.
3.) Tune to an AM or FM station by turning the TUNING control.
4.) Adjust the VOLume control as desired.
5.) To turn the radio ‘Off’, rotate the On/OFF-VOLume control counter-clockwise until a ‘click’ is heard.

Antenna Information AM - The AM antenna is inside the cabinet. It may be necessary to change the position of the radio so that the built in antenna picks up the
FM - The FM antenna is built-in to the carrying strap. Keep the strap fully extended for best FM reception.
