1. SAFETY NOTICE
The interior of the Elinchrom devices contain components carrying dangerous levels of
electric charge, even though the unit has been disconnected from the mains or without
supply battery. Before all servicing operations or repairs, you must execute the
following discharge process:
DISCHARGE PROCESS OF THE UNIT BEFORE SERVICING
Note: The discharge process is best achieved with a suitable
Elinchrom Service Kit (discharging box)
Elinchrom Service Kit for 230V : code number 11931
Elinchrom Service Kit for 120V : code number 11930
1. Set the device at minimum power
Note: One head must be connected to the device
to activate the auto-discharge.
2. Switch off the unit, remove the head cables and
the battery.
3. Discharge the UBAT voltage on the X100 and
X101 connectors of the unit.

4. Discharge HHT A and HTT B of the outlet A and B
by using the RQ discharge cable
Note: Always use the RQ discharge cable alone
on the discharging box.
5. Remove the rubber and the housing of the unit.
Note: do not touch the circuit boards until the
end of this process
7. Discharge the HTD and HTD A on the following
points: Across C404 and C405
8. Now you can disassembling, repairing and
servicing safely.

2. OPERATION INSTRUCTION
1. Connect the flash cable with the flash head
and plug it to one of the outlets

2. Push the main button

to turn on the generator.
Note: If the display indicates nothing then control
the fuse sideways on the battery or charge the battery.
3. Adjust the power by pressing the power setting buttons

4. Trigger the flash with the manual flash release button

4. SERVICE MENU
4.1. Software configurations
Ranger Quadra Hybrid AS RX
Note: Do always set the correct unit type after replacing the KBD board!
4.2. Overview
Shows the current measured temperature [°C] of the device.
Sets the delay between the made flash and the start of the next charge.
Default value = 0
Switches on/off the plugmatic, which lets the device gets ready, only
when at least one flash head is connected to it.
Default value = 1
0 = no head connected 2 = only one head connected to B
1 = only one head connected to A 3 = two heads connected
4.3. How to operate in the Service menu
To enter the Service Menu you must switch on the device
and then press the “select” button for at least 2 seconds.
To toggle from the present sub menu to the next one push
the “menu” button.
Use the “power up” and “down” buttons to adjust the value.
Push the “Eye-Cell” button to save all changed settings.
Exit the Service Menu by pressing the “On/Off” button.

Do not forget to set the correct unit type in the Service Menu after exchanging the KBD board!

5. TROUBLE SHOOTING
