Sikkerhed for børn og udsatte personer

•Apparatet er ikke beregnet til at bruges af personer (herunder børn) med nedsat fysisk, sensorisk eller psykisk funktionsevne, eller som mangler den nødvendige erfaring eller viden, med mindre den, der har ansvaret for deres sikkerhed, først har instrueret dem eller har kontrolleret, at de kan betjene det korrekt.

Hold øje med børn for at sikre, at de ikke leger med apparatet.

•Hold alle emballagedele væk fra børn. Der er fare for kvælning.

•Hvis du kasserer apparatet: Tag stikket ud af kontakten, klip netledningen af (så tæt på apparatet som muligt) og fjern døren, så børn ikke kan få elektrisk stød eller smække sig inde i apparatet under leg.

•Hvis dette apparat, der har magnetlås, erstatter et ældre apparat med fjederlås (lås med låsetunge) på døren eller i låget:

Sørg for at ødelægge fjederlåsen på det gamle apparat, inden du kasserer det.

Generelt om sikkerhed

Bemærk Ventilationsåbningerne må ikke blokeres.

•Apparatet er beregnet til opbevaring af madvarer og/eller drikkevarer i en almindelig husholdning, som forklaret i denne brugsanvisning.

•Brug ikke mekaniske redskaber eller andre kunstige hjælpemidler til at fremskynde optøningen.

•Brug ikke andre el-apparater (f.eks. ismaskiner) inde i køleudstyr, med mindre de er godkendt til formålet af producenten.

•Kølekredsløbet må ikke beskadiges.

•Apparatets kølekreds indeholder kølemidlet isobutan (R600a), en naturlig gas med høj biologisk nedbrydelighed. Det er dog brandfarligt.

Sørg for, at ingen af kølekredsens komponenter kan tage skade under transport og installation af apparatet.

Hvis kølekredsen skulle blive beskadiget:

–Undgå åben ild og antændelseskilder

–Luft grundigt ud i det lokale, hvor apparatet står

•Det er farligt at ændre apparatets specifikationer eller forsøge at ombygge det på nogen måde. Enhver skade på ledningen kan give kortslutning, brand og/eller elektrisk stød.

Advarsel Enhver elektrisk komponent (netledning, stik, kompressor) skal udskiftes af et autoriseret serviceværksted eller en autoriseret montør.

1. Netledningen må ikke forlænges.

2.Pas på, at stikket ikke bliver klemt eller beskadiget af apparatets bagpanel. Et klemt eller beskadiget stik kan blive overophedet og starte en brand.

3.Sørg for, at apparatets eltilslutning er let at komme til.

4.Træk ikke i elledningen.

5.Sæt ikke stikket i kontakten, hvis kontakten sidder løst. Fare for elektrisk stød eller brand.

6.Der må ikke tændes for apparatet, hvis lampedækslet ikke sidder på 1) den indvendige pære.

•Apparatet er tungt. Der skal udvises stor forsigtighed ved flytning af det.

•Rør ikke ved ting fra frostafdelingen med fugtige eller våde hænder. Det kan give hudafskrabninger eller forfrysninger.

•Undgå at udsætte apparatet for direkte sollys i længere tid.

•Lamper 2) I dette apparat benyttes specialpærer, der er udvalgt alene til husholdningsapparater. De er ikke egnet til oplysning i almindelige rum.

Daglig brug

•Sæt ikke en varm gryde på apparatets plastdele.

•Opbevar ikke brandfarlig gas og væske i apparatet, da de kan eksplodere.

•Sæt ikke maden direkte op mod udluftningen i apparatets bagvæg. 3)

•Dybfrostvarer må ikke nedfryses igen, når de har været optøet.

•Opbevar færdigpakkede dybfrostvarer som angivet på pakken.

•Følg nøje producentens angivelser vedr. opbevaring af produktet. Se de relevante vejledninger.

•Sæt ikke drikkevarer med kulsyre ('brus') i frostrummet, da det skaber tryk i beholderen, så den kan eksplodere og beskadige apparatet.

•Ispinde kan give forfrysninger, hvis de spises lige fra fryseren.

Vedligeholdelse og rengøring

•Inden rengøring slukkes der for apparatet, og stikket tages ud af kontakten. Sluk

på ejendommens el-tavle, hvis du ikke kan komme til stikkontakten.

•Brug ikke metalgenstande til at rengøre apparatet.

•Brug ikke skarpe genstande til at skrabe rim af. Brug en plastikskraber.

•Efterse jævnlig afløbet i køleskabet for afrimningsvand. Rens afløbet efter behov. Hvis afløbet er blokeret, ophobes der vand i bunden af apparatet.

Installation

Vigtigt Ved tilslutning til lysnet skal vejledningen i de pågældende afsnit nøje følges.

•Pak apparatet ud, og efterse det for skader. Tilslut ikke apparatet, hvis det er beskadiget. Eventuelle skader på apparatet skal straks anmeldes til det sted, hvor det er købt. Gem i så fald emballagen.

•Det anbefales at vente mindst to timer med at tilslutte apparatet, så olien har tid til at løbe tilbage i kompressoren.

•Der skal være tilstrækkelig luftudskiftning rundt om apparatet. Ellers bliver det overophedet. Følg installationsvejledningen for at sikre tilstrækkelig ventilation.

•Så vidt det overhovedet er muligt skal apparatets bagside stå op mod en væg, så man ikke kan komme til at røre eller hænge fast i varme dele (kompressor, kondensator), med risiko for at brænde sig.

•Apparatet må ikke stilles tæt på radiatorer eller komfurer.

•Sørg for, at det er muligt at komme til netstikket, når apparatet er installeret.

•Tilslut kun til drikkevandsledning (vandværksvand). 4)

Service

•Alt el-arbejde, der kræves til vedligeholdelse af apparatet, skal udføres af en autoriseret el-installatør.

•Dette produkt må kun serviceres af et autoriseret serviceværksted, og der må kun bruges originale reservedele.

Miljøhensyn

Apparatet indeholder ikke gasser, der kan nedbryde ozonlaget, hverken i kølekreds eller isoleringsmaterialer. Apparatet må ikke bortskaffes sammen med husholdningsaffald og jordfyld. Isoleringsskummet indeholder brændbare gasser: Apparatet skal bortskaffes i hen-

hold til gældende bestemmelser. Nærmere oplysninger fås hos kommunens tekniske forvaltning. Undgå at beskadige køleenheden, især på bagsiden ved siden af varmeveksleren. De materialer i apparatet, der er mærket med symbolet , kan genvanvendes.

BETJENING

Tænde

Sæt stikket i stikkontakten.

Drej termostatknappen med uret til en mellemindstilling.

Slukning

Sluk for apparatet ved at dreje termostatknappen til stilling "O".

Temperaturindstilling

Temperaturen reguleres automatisk. Apparatet betjenes på følgende måde:

•Drej termostatknappen mod lavere indstillinger for at vælge minimum køling.

•Drej termostatknappen mod højere indstillinger for at vælge maksimal køling.

I reglen er en mellemindstilling mest passende.

Når den præcise indstilling vælges, skal man dog huske på, at temperaturen i apparatet afhænger af:

•Rumtemperaturen

•Hvor tit døren åbnes

•Mængden af mad

•Skabets placering.

Vigtigt Hvis den omgivende temperatur er høj eller skabet er helt fyldt, og termostatknappen står på det koldeste trin, kan kompressoren køre konstant, så der dannes rim eller is på bagvæggen. Hvis det sker, sættes termostatknappen på en højere temperatur, så den automatiske afrimning starter, og strømforbruget dermed falder.

IBRUGTAGNING

Indvendig rengøring

Inden apparatet tages i brug vaskes det indvendig (inkl. tilbehør) med lunkent vand tilsat neutral sæbe for at fjerne den typiske lugt af nyt apparat. Tør grundigt efter.

Vigtigt Brug ikke sulfosæbe eller skuremiddel. Det vil skade overfladen.

DAGLIG BRUG

Indfrysning af ferskvarer

Frostrummet er velegnet til nedfrysning af friske madvarer og til langtidsopbevaring af købte frostvarer og dybfrossen mad.

Til nedfrysning af friske madvarer behøver mellemindstillingen ikke at ændres.

Men hvis maden skal indfryses hurtigere, drejes termostatknappen hen på en højere indstilling for at få maksimal køling.

Vigtigt I så fald kan temperaturen i køleafdelingen komme under 0°C. Hvis det sker, sættes termostatknappen på en varmere indstilling.

Opbevaring af frosne madvarer

Når skabet tændes igen efter en længere periode, hvor det ikke har været anvendt, skal det køre i mindst 2 timer på højere indstillinger, inden der lægges madvarer ind.

Vigtigt Hvis madvarerne optøs ved et uheld (f.eks. som følge af strømsvigt), og strømafbrydelsen har varet længere end den angivne temperaturstigningstid under tekniske specifikationer, skal madvarerne enten spises eller tilberedes og derefter nedfryses igen (efter afkøling).

Optøning

Når dybfrostvarer eller nedfrosne madvarer skal bruges, kan de optøs i køleafdelingen eller ved stuetemperatur, afhængig af hvornår de skal bruges.

Små stykker kan endda tilberedes uden optøning, direkte fra fryseren: I så fald forlænges tilberedningstiden.

Flytbare hylder

Køleskabets vægge har en række skinner, så hylderne kan placeres efter ønske.

NYTTIGE OPLYSNINGER OG RÅD

Normale driftslyde

•Undertiden kan der høres en svag gurglen eller boblen, når kølemidlet pumpes gennem spiralerne eller rørene. Det er normalt.

•Når kompressoren kører, pumpes kølemidlet rundt, og der kommer en snurrende og pulserende lyd fra kompressoren. Det er normalt.

•Varmeudvidelsen kan give pludselige knæklyde. Det er et naturligt og ufarligt fysisk fænomen. Det er normalt.

•Når kompressoren tænder og slukker kan der høres et svagt klik fra termostatknappen. Det er normalt.

Energisparetips

•Åbn døren så lidt som muligt, og lad den ikke stå åben længere end højst nødvendigt.

•Hvis den omgivende temperatur er høj, termostatknappen står på det koldeste trin, og skabet er helt fyldt, kan kompressoren køre konstant, så der dannes rim eller is på fordamperen. Hvis det sker, sættes knappen på en lavere indstilling, så den automatiske afrimning starter, og strømforbruget dermed falder.

Råd om køling af friske madvarer

Sådan holder maden sig bedst:

•Sæt ikke dampende varm mad eller drikke i køleskabet

•Læg låg på maden eller pak den ind, især hvis den lugter stærkt

•Placer maden, så luften kan cirkulere frit rundt om den

Råd om køling

Nyttige tip:

Kød (alle slags): Pakkes ind i polyætylenposer og lægges på glashylden over grøntsagsskuffen.

Det er kun sikkert at opbevare kød på denne måde i 1-2 dage.

Tilberedt mad, pålæg, kolde retter og lignende: Bør pakkes ind og kan stilles på alle hylder.

Frugt og grønt: Bør rengøres grundigt og lægges i den/de særlige skuffe(r).

Smør og ost: Bør lægges i specielle lufttætte beholdere eller pakkes ind i alufolie eller polyætylenposer, så luften holdes bedst muligt ude.

Mælkeflasker: Bør have låg på og opbevares i flaskehylden i døren.

Bananer, kartofler, løg og hvidløg behøver ikke at lægges i køleskab, med mindre de er pakket ind.

Råd om frysning

Her er nogle vigtige tips om, hvordan du udnytter fryseafdelingen bedst muligt:

•Den maksimale indfrysningskapacitet pr. døgn. fremgår af typeskiltet;

•Indfrysningen tager 24 timer. I dette tidsrum bør der ikke lægges flere madvarer ind;

•Nedfrys kun 1. klasses madvarer, der er friske og grundigt rengjorte;

•Del maden op i små portioner, så den indfryses hurtigt og jævnt. Så kan du også hurtigt optø netop den mængde, du skal bruge;

•Pak maden ind i alufolie eller polyætylen, og sørg for, at indpakningen er lufttæt;

•Lad ikke friske, ikke-nedfrosne madvarer røre ved frostvarer, så temperaturen stiger i dem;

•Magre madvarer holder sig bedre og længere end fedtholdige; Salt nedsætter madens holdbarhed;

•Hvis sodavandsis spises direkte fra frostrummet, kan de give forfrysninger;

•Det er en god idé at mærke alle pakker med indfrysningsdato, så du har styr på holdbarheden;

Tips om opbevaring af frostvarer

For at få den største fornøjelse af dette skab, skal du:

•Sikre dig, at købte dybfrostvarer har været været korrekt opbevaret i forretningen;

•Sørge for at bringe frostvarer hjem hurtigst muligt og lægge dem i fryseren;

•Åbne døren så lidt som muligt, og ikke lade den stå åben længere end højst nødvendigt.

•Optøede madvarer nedbrydes meget hurtigt og kan ikke nedfryses igen.

•Overskrid ikke udløbsdatoen på pakken.

VEDLIGEHOLDELSE OG RENGØRING

Bemærk Kobl apparatet fra strømforsyningen, før der udføres nogen som helst form for vedligeholdelse.

Apparatets kølesystem indeholder klorbrinter; Service og påfyldning må derfor kun udføres af en autoriseret tekniker.

Regelmæssig rengøring

Apparatet skal jævnlig rengøres:

•Vask det indvendig (inkl. tilbehør) med lunkent vand tilsat neutral sæbe.

•Efterse jævnlig dørpakningerne, og tør dem af, så de er rene og fri for belægninger.

•Skyl og tør grundigt af.

Vigtigt Undgå at trække i, flytte eller beskadige evt. rør og/eller ledninger i skabet. Brug aldrig sulfosæbe, skurepulver, stærkt parfumeret rengøringsmiddel eller voksprodukter til indvendig rengøring af skabet. Det skader overfladen og efterlader kraftig lugt.

Rens kondensatoren (det sorte gitter) og kompressoren bag på skabet med en børste eller støvsuger. Det øger apparatets ydeevne og sparer strøm.

Vigtigt Pas på ikke at beskadige kølesystemet.

Mange rengøringsmidler til køkkener indeholder kemikalier, der kan angribe og evt.

beskadige de anvendte plastmaterialer i apparatet. Derfor anbefales det, at kabinettet udvendig kun rengøres med varmt vand tilsat lidt opvaskemiddel.

Sæt stikket i stikkontakten efter rengøringen.

Afrimning af køleskabet

Under normal drift afrimes fordamperen i køleafdelingen automatisk, hver gang motorkompressoren standser. Afrimningsvandet ledes ud gennem en rende og ned i en særlig beholder bag på apparatet (over motorkompressoren), hvor det fordamper. Afløbet til afrimningsvand sidder midt i renden i køleafdelingen. Det skal jævnlig renses, så vandet ikke løber over og drypper ned på maden i skabet. Brug den medfølgende special-flaskerenser, der sidder i afløbshullet ved leveringen.

Afrimning af fryser

Der vil altid dannes lidt rim på hylderne i frostrummet og rundt om øverste afdeling.

Vigtigt Fryseren skal afrimes, når laget af rim er 3-5 mm tykt.

Rimlag fjernes på følgende måde:

1.Sluk for apparatet.

2.Tag eventuelle madvarer ud, pak dem ind i flere lag avispapir, og læg dem et koldt sted.

3.Lad døren stå åben.

4.Når afrimningen er afsluttet, tørres skabet grundigt af indvendig, og proppen sættes i igen.

5.Tænd for apparatet.

6.Sæt termostatknappen på højeste trin, og lad apparatet stå på denne indstilling i to-tre timer.

7.Læg madvarerne på plads igen.

Vigtigt Brug aldrig skarpe metalgenstande til at skrabe rim af fordamperen. Det kan beskadige den. Brug ikke mekaniske redskaber eller andre kunstige hjælpemidler til at fremskynde optøningen, med mindre de er anbefalet af producenten. Hvis dybfrostvarernes temperatur er steget under afrimningen, kan det forkorte deres holdbarhed.

Pause i brug

Tag følgende forholdsregler, når apparatet ikke skal bruges i længere tid:

•Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten

•Tag al maden ud

•Afrim 5)og rengør apparatet inkl. alt tilbehør

•Lad døren/dørene stå på klem for at fore-

bygge ubehagelig lugt.

Hvis der skal være tændt for skabet: Bed nogen se til det en gang imellem, så maden ikke bliver fordærvet, hvis der har været strømsvigt.

HVIS NOGET GÅR GALT

Advarsel Inden fejlfinding skal stikket tages ud af kontakten.

Fejl, der ikke er nævnt i denne brugsanvisning, må kun afhjælpes af en autoriseret installatør eller anden fagmand.

INSTALLATION

Læs afsnittet "Om sikkerhed" omhyggeligt, før apparatet installeres for at forebygge ulykker, og sikre at det bruges korrekt.

Opstilling

Apparatet kan også opstilles indendørs på et tørt, ventileret sted (garage eller kælder), men fungerer bedst, hvis det står et sted, hvor omgivelsernes temperatur svarer til den klimaklasse, der er angivet på apparatets typeskilt:

2.Drej afstandsstykkerne 45° mod uret, til de låses fast.

Afstandsstykker, bagpå

I posen med brugsanvisningen ligger der to afstandsstykker, der skal monteres som vist på tegningen.

1.Sæt afstandsstykkerne ind i hullerne. Se efter, at pilen (A) vender som vist på tegningen.

Nivellering

Ved opstillingen skal det sikres, at apparatet er i vater. Det gøres med to justeringsfødder i bunden, under apparatets forkant.

Placering

Apparatet bør placeres i god afstand fra varmekilder som radiatorer, kedler, direkte sollys osv. Sørg for, at luften kan cirkulere frit omkring kabinettets bagside. Hvis apparatet placeres under et overskab, skal der mindst være en afstand på 100 mm mellem apparatets topplade og skabet. Ellers arbejder det ikke optimalt. Ideelt bør skabet dog ikke placeres under overskabe. Apparatet kan sættes præcis i vater med en eller flere af de justerbare fødder i bunden af kabinettet.

Hvis skabet skal stå i et hjørne, med hængselsiden mod væggen, skal der mindst være 10 mm til væggen, så døren kan åbnes så meget, at hylderne kan tages ud.

Advarsel Det skal være muligt at koble apparatet fra lysnettet; Der skal derfor være let adgang til stikket efter installationen.

Vending af dør

Vigtigt Under de følgende operationer er det en god idé at få en hjælper til at holde godt fast i skabets døre, mens arbejdet udføres.

Døren vendes på følgende måde:

1.Tag stikket ud af kontakten.

2.Åbn fryserens dør. Løsn hængslet.

SAFETY INFORMATION

In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully, including its hints and warnings. To avoid unnecessary mistakes and accidents, it is important to ensure that all people using the appliance are thoroughly familiar with its operation and safety features. Save these instructions and make sure that they remain with the appliance if it is moved or sold, so that everyone using it through its life will be properly informed on appliance use and safety.

For the safety of life and property keep the precautions of these user's instructions as the manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by omission.

Children and vulnerable people safety

•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

•Keep all packaging well away from children. There is risk of suffocation.

•If you are discarding the appliance pull the plug out of the socket, cut the connection cable (as close to the appliance as you can) and remove the door to prevent playing children to suffer electric shock or to close themselves into it.

•If this appliance featuring magnetic door seals is to replace an older appliance having a spring lock (latch) on the door or lid,

be sure to make that spring lock unusable before you discard the old appliance. This will prevent it from becoming a death trap for a child.

General safety

Caution! Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction.

•The appliance is intended for keeping foodstuff and/or beverages in a normal household as explained in this instruction booklet.

•Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process.

•Do not use other electrical appliances (such as ice cream makers) inside of refrigerating appliances, unless they are approved for this purpose by the manufacturer.

•Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

•The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable.

During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.

If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

–avoid open flames and sources of ignition

–thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated

•It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way. Any

damage to the cord may cause a shortcircuit, fire and/or electric shock.

Warning! Any electrical component (power cord, plug, compressor) must be replaced by a certified service agent or qualified service personnel.

1.Power cord must not be lengthened.

2.Make sure that the power plug is not squashed or damaged by the back of the appliance. A squashed or damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.

3.Make sure that you can come to the mains plug of the appliance.

4.Do not pull the mains cable.

5.If the power plug socket is loose, do not insert the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.

6.You must not operate the appliance without the lamp cover7) of interior lighting.

•This appliance is heavy. Care should be taken when moving it.

•Do not remove nor touch items from the freezer compartment if your hands are damp/wet, as this could cause skin abrasions or frost/freezer burns.

•Avoid prolonged exposure of the appliance to direct sunlight.

•Bulb lamps8) used in this appliance are special purpose lamps selected for household appliances use only. They are not suitable for household room illumination.

Daily Use

•Do not put hot pot on the plastic parts in the appliance.

•Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the appliance, because they may explode.

•Do not place food products directly against the air outlet on the rear wall.9)

•Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has been thawed out.

•Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.

•Appliance's manufacturers storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. Refer to relevant instructions.

•Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure on the container, which may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to the appliance.

•Ice lollies can cause frost burns if consumed straight from the appliance.

Care and cleaning

•Before maintenance, switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

•Do not clean the appliance with metal objects.

•Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance. Use a plastic scraper.

•Regularly examine the drain in the refrigerator for defrosted water. If necessary, clean the drain. If the drain is blocked, water will collect in the bottom of the appliance.

Installation

Important! For electrical connection carefully follow the instructions given in specific paragraphs.

•Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages on it. Do not connect the appliance if it is damaged. Report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it. In that case retain packing.

•It is advisable to wait at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor.

•Adequate air circulation should be around the appliance, lacking this leads to overheating. To achieve sufficient ventilation follow the instructions relevant to installation.

•Wherever possible the back of the product should be against a wall to avoid touching or catching warm parts (compressor, condenser) to prevent possible burn.

•The appliance must not be located close to radiators or cookers.

•Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after the installation of the appliance.

•Connect to potable water supply only.10)

Service

•Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.

•This product must be serviced by an authorized Service Centre, and only genuine spare parts must be used.

Environment Protection

This appliance does not contain gasses which could damage the ozone layer,

in either its refrigerant circuit or insulation materials. The appliance shall not be discarded together with the urban refuse and rubbish. The insulation foam contains flammable gases: the appliance shall be disposed according to the applicable regulations to obtain from your local authorities. Avoid damaging the cooling unit, especially at the rear near the heat exchanger. The materials used on this appliance marked by the symbol are recyclable.

OPERATION

Switching on

Insert the plug into the wall socket.

Turn the Temperature regulator clockwise to a medium setting.

Switching off

To turn off the appliance, turn the Temperature regulator to the "O" position.

Temperature regulation

The temperature is automatically regulated. To operate the appliance, proceed as follows:

•turn the Temperature regulator toward lower settings to obtain the minimum coldness.

•turn the Temperature regulator toward higher settings to obtain the maximum coldness.

A medium setting is generally the most suitable.

However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in mind that the temperature inside the appliance depends on:

•room temperature

•how often the door is opened

•the quantity of food stored

•the location of the appliance.

Important! If the ambient temperature is high or the appliance is fully loaded, and the appliance is set to the lowest temperatures, it may run continuously causing frost to form on the rear wall. In this case the dial must be set to a higher temperature to allow automatic defrosting and therefore reduced energy consumption.

FIRST USE

Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly.

Important! Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.

DAILY USE

Freezing fresh food

The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep-frozen food for a long time.

To freeze fresh foods it is not necessary to change the medium setting.

However, for a faster freezing operation, turn the temperature regulator toward higher settings to obtain the maximum coldness.

Important! In this condition, the refrigerator compartment temperature might drop below 0°C. If this occurs reset the temperature regulator to a warmer setting.

Storage of frozen food

Movable shelves

When first starting-up or after a period out of use, before putting the products in the compartment let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings.

Important! In the event of accidental defrosting, for example due to a power failure, if the power has been off for longer than the value shown in the technical characteristics chart under "rising time", the defrosted food must be consumed quickly or cooked immediately and then re-frozen (after cooling).

Thawing

Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being used, can be thawed in the refrigerator compartment or at room temperature, depending on the time available for this operation. Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen, directly from the freezer: in this case, cooking will take longer.

The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired.

HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

Normal Operating Sounds

•You may hear a faint gurgling and a bubbling sound when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing. This is correct.

•When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped around and you will hear a whirring sound and a pulsating noise from the compressor. This is correct.

•The thermic dilatation might cause a sudden cracking noise. It is natural, not dangerous physical phenomenon. This is correct.

•When the compressor switches on or switches off, you will hear a faint "click" of the temperature regulator. This is correct.

Hints for energy saving

•Do not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary.

•If the ambient temperature is high and the Temperature Regulator is set to low temperature and the appliance is fully loaded, the compressor may run continuously, causing frost or ice on the evaporator. If this happens, set the Temperature Regulator toward warmer settings to allow au-

tomatic defrosting and so a saving in electricity consumption.

Hints for fresh food refrigeration

To obtain the best performance:

•do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator

•do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour

•position food so that air can circulate freely around it

Hints for refrigeration

Useful hints:

Meat (all types) : wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer.

For safety, store in this way only one or two days at the most.

Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc..: these should be covered and may be placed on any shelf.

Fruit and vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the special drawer(s) provided.

Butter and cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or wrapped in

aluminium foil or polythene bags to exclude as much air as possible.

Milk bottles: these should have a cap and should be stored in the bottle rack on the door.

Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in the refrigerator.

Hints for freezing

To help you make the most of the freezing process, here are some important hints:

•the maximum quantity of food which can be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on the rating plate;

•the freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to be frozen should be added during this period;

•only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned, foodstuffs;

•prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and to make it possible subsequently to thaw only the quantity required;

•wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and make sure that the packages are airtight;

•do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food which is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature of the latter;

•lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life of food;

•water ices, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, can possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt;

•it is advisable to show the freezing in date on each individual pack to enable you to keep tab of the storage time.

Hints for storage of frozen food

To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you should:

•make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retailer;

•be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the foodstore to the freezer in the shortest possible time;

•not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary.

•Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be refrozen.

•Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer.

CARE AND CLEANING

Caution! Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation.

This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit; maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorized technicians.

Periodic cleaning

Clean the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or a vacuum cleaner. This operation will improve the performance of the appliance and save electricity consumption.

Important! Take care of not to damage the cooling system.

The equipment has to be cleaned regularly:

•clean the inside and accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap.

•regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure they are clean and free from debris.

•rinse and dry thoroughly.

Important! Do not pull, move or damage any pipes and/or cables inside the cabinet. Never use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as this will damage the surface and leave a strong odour.

Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chemicals that can attack/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of this appliance is only cleaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.

After cleaning, reconnect the equipment to the mains supply.

Defrosting of the refrigerator

Frost is automatically eliminated from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains

out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, over the motor compressor, where it evaporates.

It is important to periodically clean the defrost water drain hole in the middle of the refrigerator compartment channel to prevent the water overflowing and dripping onto the food inside. Use the special cleaner provided, which you will find already inserted into the drain hole.

Defrosting the freezer

A certain amount of frost will always form on the freezer shelves and around the top compartment.

Important! Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm.

To remove the frost, do these steps: 1. Switch off the appliance.

2.Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place.

3.Leave the door open.

4.When defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly and refit the plug.

5.Switch on the appliance.

6.Set the temperature regulator to obtain the maximum coldness and run the appliance for two or three hours using this setting.

7.Reload the previously removed food into the compartment.

Important! Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from the evaporator as you could damage it. Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process other than those recommended by the manufacturer. A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, during defrosting, may shorten their safe storage life.

Periods of non-operation

When the appliance is not in use for long periods, take the following precautions:

•disconnect the appliance from electricity supply

•remove all food

•defrost 11)and clean the appliance and all accessories

•leave the door/doors ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.

If the cabinet will be kept on, ask somebody to check it once in a while to prevent the food inside from spoiling in case of a power failure.

Warning! Before troubleshooting, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

Only a qualified electrician or competent person must do the troubleshooting that is not in this manual.

Replacing the lamp

1.Disconnect the appliance.

2.Push the movable part to unhook the lamp cover (1).

INSTALLATION

Read the "Safety Information" carefully for your safety and correct operation of the appliance before installing the appliance.

Positioning

This appliance can be installed in a dry, well ventilated indoor (garage or cellar) also, but for optimum performance install this appliance at a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate class indicated on the rating plate of the appliance:

Rear spacers

In the bag with the documentation, there are two spacers which must be fitted as shown in the figure.

1.Fit the spacers into the holes. Make sure that the arrow (A) is positioned as shown in the picture.

2.Turn counter-clockwise the spacers through 45° until they lock into place.

Levelling

When placing the appliance ensure that it stands level. This can be achieved by two adjustable feet at the bottom in front.

Location

The appliance should be installed well away from sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct sunlight etc. Ensure that air can circulate freely around the back of the cabinet. To ensure best performance, if the appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit, the minimum distance between the top of the cabinet and the wall unit must be at least 100 mm . Ideally, however,

the appliance should not be positioned below overhanging wall units. Accurate levelling is ensured by one or more adjustable feet at the base of the cabinet.

If the cabinet is placed in a corner and the side with the hinges facing the wall, the distance between the wall and the cabinet must be at least 10 mm to allow the door to open enough so that the shelves can be removed.

Warning! It must be possible to disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply; the plug must therefore be easily accessible after installation.

Door reversibility

Important! To carry out the following operations, we suggest that this be made with another person that will keep a firm hold on the doors of the appliance during the operations.

To change the opening direction of the door, do these steps:

1. Remove the plug from the power socket.

2. Open the door of the freezer. Loosen the hinge.

3.Remove the doors by pulling them slightly and remove the hinge.

5. Unscrew both adjustable feet and the screws of the bottom door hinge. Remove the bottom door hinge and install it on the opposite side.

4.On the opposite side, remove the hole covers.

6.Unscrew the bottom far side screw and install on the opposite side.

7. Unscrew the top door holding pin.

8. Screw the pin back on the other side.

9.Fit the doors into the pins and install the doors. Install the hinge.

10.On the opposite site, install the hole covers provided within the accessory bag.

11.Tighten the hinge. Make sure that the doors are aligned.

12.Remove and install the handle12) on the opposite side.

13.Reposition, level the appliance, wait for at least four hours and then connect it

to the power socket.

Do a final check to make sure that:

•All screws are tightened.

•The door opens and closes correctly.

If the ambient temperature is cold (i.e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectly to the cabinet. In that case, wait for the natural fitting of the gasket.

In case you do not want to carry out the above mentioned operations, contact the nearest After Sales Service Force. The After Sales Service specialist will carry out the reversibility of the doors at your cost.

Electrical connection

Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating plate correspond to your domestic power supply.

The appliance must be earthed. The power supply cable plug is provided with a contact for this purpose. If the domestic power supply socket is not earthed, connect the appliance to a separate earth in compliance with current regulations, consulting a qualified electrician.

The manufacturer declines all responsibility if the above safety precautions are not observed.

This appliance complies with the E.E.C. Directives.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS

The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Pidä tämä ohje tallessa ja varmista, että se kulkee aina laitteen mukana esimerkiksi asunnon vaihdon yhteydessä tai luovutetaan mahdolliselle uudelle omistajalle. Näin kaikilla laitteen käyttäjillä on asianmukaiset ohjeet turvallista käyttöä varten.

Huomioi tarkasti käyttöohjeen sisältämät varoitukset käyttäjien turvallisuuden varmistamiseksi ja omaisuusvahinkojen välttämiseksi. Valmistaja ei vastaa vahingoista, jotka ovat aiheutuneet varoitusten ja turvallisuusohjeiden vastaisesta toiminnasta.

Lasten ja taitamattomien henkilöiden turvallisuus

•Tämä laite ei ole tarkoitettu fyysisesti, motorisesti tai henkisesti rajoitteisten tai kokemattomien tai taitamattomien henkilöiden (eikä lasten) käyttöön, ellei heidän turvallisuudestaan vastuussa oleva henkilö valvo ja opasta heitä laitteen käytössä. Pikkulapsia on valvottava eikä heidän pidä antaa leikkiä laitteella.

•Pidä kaikki pakkausmateriaalit poissa lasten ulottuvilta. Ne voisivat aiheuttaa tukehtumisvaaran.

•Kun poistat laitteen käytöstä lopullisesti, irrota pistoke pistorasiasta, leikkaa virtajohto irti (mahdollisimman läheltä laitteen liitäntäkohtaa) ja irrota laitteen ovi. Tällä tavoin voidaan välttää leikkiville lapsille ai-

heutuva sähköiskun tai loukkuunjäämisen vaara.

•Tässä laitteessa on magneettiset oven tiivisteet. Jos entisen laitteesi ovessa on jousilukitus (salpa), riko jousilukitus, ennen kuin poistat vanhan laitteen käytöstä estääksesi lasten loukkuunjäämisen vaaran.

Yleiset turvallisuusohjeet

Huomio Älä tuki laitteen ilmanvaihtoaukkoja.

•Laite on tarkoitettu elintarvikkeiden ja/tai juomien säilyttämiseen kotitalouskäytössä tämän käyttöohjeen kuvauksen mukaisesti.

•Älä yritä nopeuttaa sulatusta mekaanisten laitteiden tai muun keinotekoisen sulatusvälineen avulla.

•Älä käytä muita sähkölaitteita (esim. jäätelökonetta) jäähdytyslaitteiden sisällä, elleivät ne ole valmistajan hyväksymiä tähän tarkoitukseen.

•Varo vahingoittamasta jäähdytysputkistoa.

•Laitteen jäähdytysputkisto sisältää isobutaania (R600a), joka on hyvin ympäristöystävällinen luonnonkaasu, mutta kuitenkin tulenarka.

Varmista, etteivät jäähdytyspiirin komponentit pääse vaurioitumaan laitteen kuljetuksen ja asennuksen aikana.

Jos jäähdytysputkisto vaurioituu:

–vältä avotulta ja muita syttymislähteitä

–tuuleta huolellisesti huone, johon laite on sijoitettu

•Laitteen teknisten ominaisuuksien muuttaminen tai muiden muutosten tekeminen laitteeseen on vaarallista. Vahingoittunut virtajohto voi aiheuttaa oikosulun, tulipalon ja/tai sähköiskun.

Varoitus! Sähköosien (virtajohto, pistoke, kompressori) vaihdon saa suorittaa vain valtuutettu huoltoliike.

1.Virtajohtoa ei saa jatkaa.

2.Varmista, että virtajohto ei joudu puristuksiin tai pääse vahingoittumaan laitteen takana. Litistynyt tai vahingoittunut virtajohto voi ylikuumentua ja aiheuttaa tulipalon.

3.Laitteen verkkovirtakytkennän on oltava hyvin ulottuvilla siten, että pistoke on helppo irrottaa pistorasiasta.

4.Älä vedä virtajohdosta pistoketta irrottaessasi.

5.Jos pistoke on löysästi kiinni virtajohdossa, älä kiinnitä sitä pistorasiaan. Tämä aiheuttaa sähköiskun tai tulipalon vaaran.

6.Laitetta ei saa käyttää, jos sisävalon lampun suojus 13) on irrotettu.

•Laite on painava, ja sen siirtämisessä on noudatettava varovaisuutta.

•Älä koske pakastimessa oleviin tuotteisiin kostein tai märin käsin. Koskettaminen voi aiheuttaa ihon hankautumista tai kylmävammoja.

•Laite ei saa olla pitkään suorassa auringonvalossa.

•Tämän laitteen hehkulamput 14) ovat erityisiä lamppua, joita saa käyttää vain kodinkoneissa. Ne eivät sovi huoneiden valaistukseen.

Päivittäinen käyttö

•Älä laita kuumia kattiloita laitteen muoviosien päälle.

•Älä säilytä tulenarkoja kaasuja tai nesteitä jääkaapissa, sillä ne voivat räjähtää.

•Älä laita elintarvikkeita suoraan takaseinän ilmanvaihtoaukkoa vasten. 15)

•Pakasteita ei saa pakastaa uudelleen sen jälkeen, kun ne on kerran sulatettu.

•Säilytä valmispakasteet pakkauksen ohjeita noudattaen.

•Noudata tarkasti laitteen valmistajan säilytysohjeita. Lue ohjeet.

•Älä laita pakastimeen hiilihappopitoisia tai poreilevia juomia, sillä jäätyessä pakkauk-

seen muodostuu painetta, jolloin se voi räjähtää ja vahingoittaa laitetta.

•Mehujäät voivat aiheuttaa kylmävammoja, jos ne nautitaan suoraan pakastimesta otettuina.

Huolto ja puhdistus

•Ennen kuin aloitat laitteen huoltamisen, kytke laite pois päältä ja irrota pistoke pistorasiasta.

•Älä käytä laitteen puhdistamisessa metalliesineitä.

•Älä käytä huurteen poistamisessa teräviä esineitä. Käytä muovista kaavinta.

•Tarkista säännöllisesti jääkaapin sulatusveden poistoaukko. Puhdista poistoaukko tarvittaessa. Jos poistoaukko on tukossa, vesi kerääntyy laitteen pohjalle.

Asennus

Tärkeää Noudata tarkasti sähköliitäntää käsittelevissä kappaleissa annettuja ohjeita.

•Pura laite pakkauksestaan ja tarkista mahdolliset kuljetusvauriot. Vaurioitunutta laitetta ei saa kytkeä verkkovirtaan. Ilmoita mahdollisista vahingoista välittömästi jälleenmyyjälle. Säilytä tässä tapauksessa pakkausmateriaalit.

•Odota vähintään kaksi tuntia, ennen kuin kytket laitteen verkkovirtaan, jotta öljy ehtii virrata kompressoriin.

•Laitteen ympärillä on oltava hyvä ilmankierto, jotta ylikuumenemisen vaaraa ei ole. Noudata asennusohjeissa esitettyjä ilmanvaihtomääräyksiä.

•Laite on mahdollisuuksien mukaan sijoitettava selkä seinää vasten, jotta palovammoja aiheuttaviin kuumiin osiin (kompressori, lauhdutin) ei voida koskea.

•Laitetta ei saa sijoittaa lämpöpatterin tai lieden viereen.

•Varmista, että laitteen verkkovirtakytkentä on hyvin ulottuvilla laitteen asennuksen jälkeen.

•Laitteen saa kytkeä ainoastaan puhtaaseen vesijohtoverkkoon. 16)

Huoltopalvelu

•Kaikki laitteen asennukseen liittyvät sähkötyöt on annettava ammattitaitoisen sähköasentajan tehtäväksi.

•Laitteen huoltotyöt saa suorittaa vain valtuutettu huoltoliike, ja ainoastaan alkuperäisten varaosien käyttäminen on sallittua.

Ympäristönsuojelu

Tämä laite ei sisällä otsonikerrosta tuhoavia kaasuja jäähdytyspiirissä eikä

eristemateriaaleissa. Käytöstäpoistettua laitetta ei saa toimittaa tavallisen yhdyskuntajätteen keräykseen. Eristevaahto sisältää tulenarkoja kaasuja: laitteen käytöstäpoistossa ja hävittämisessä tulee noudattaa paikallisia jätehuoltomääräyksiä. Vältä vahingoittamasta jäähdytysyksikköä, erityisesti lämmönvaihtimen läheltä. Tässä laitteessa käytetyt, symbolilla merkityt materiaalit ovat kierrätettäviä.

KÄYTTÖ

Kytkeminen toimintaan

Kiinnitä pistoke pistorasiaan.

Käännä lämpötilan säädintä myötäpäivään keskiasentoon.

Laitteen kytkeminen pois toiminnasta

Laite kytketään pois toiminnasta kääntämällä lämpötilan säädin asentoon O.

Lämpötilan säätäminen

Lämpötila säätyy automaattisesti. Laitetta käytetään seuraavasti:

•Lämpötilaa säädetään korkeammaksi kääntämällä lämpötilan säädintä pienempiä asetusarvoja kohti.

•Lämpötilaa säädetään kylmemmäksi kääntämällä lämpötilan säädintä suurempia asetusarvoja kohti.

Keskiasento on yleensä sopivin asetus.

Huomioi lämpötilan säätämisessä seuraavat siihen vaikuttavat asiat:

•huoneen lämpötila

•oven avaamistiheys

•säilytettävien elintarvikkeiden määrä

•laitteen sijaintipaikka.

Tärkeää Jos ympäristön lämpötila on korkea tai jos jääkaappi on hyvin täynnä, ja lämpötila on säädetty hyvin kylmäksi, kompressori voi käydä jatkuvasti, jolloin takaseinään muodostuu huurretta. Tässä tapauksessa lämpötilan säädin kannattaa kääntää korkeampaan lämpötilaan automaattisen sulatuksen käynnistämiseksi, jolloin myös energiankulutus vähenee.

ENSIMMÄINEN KÄYTTÖKERTA

Sisätilan puhdistaminen

Ennen kuin otat laitteen käyttöön, pese sisäosat ja kaikki kaapin sisään sijoitettavat varusteet haalealla vedellä ja käsitiskiaineella poistaaksesi näin uudelle laitteelle tyypillisen

hajun. Kuivaa pinnat ja varusteet lopuksi huolellisesti.

Tärkeää Älä käytä puhdistusaineita tai hankaavia jauheita, sillä ne vahingoittavat pintoja.

PÄIVITTÄINEN KÄYTTÖ

Ruokien pakastaminen

Pakastinosasto soveltuu tuoreiden elintarvikkeiden pakastamiseen sekä valmispakasteiden pitkäaikaiseen säilyttämiseen.

Kun pakastat tuoreita elintarvikkeita, keskimääräistä asetusta ei tarvitse muuttaa.

Voit kuitenkin nopeuttaa pakastumista kääntämällä lämpötilan säätimen korkeampaan, maksimilämpötilan asetukseen.

Tärkeää Tällöin jääkaappiosaston lämpötila voi laskea alle 0 °C:n. Jos näin käy, palauta

pakastimen lämpötilan säädin korkeamman lämpötilan asetukseen.

Pakasteiden säilyttäminen

Kun käytät pakastinta ensimmäistä kertaa tai pitkän käyttämättömän jakson jälkeen, anna laitteen toimia vähintään kahden tunnin ajan suuremmilla asetusarvoilla.
