Electro Harmonix RTG User manual

RTG
Random Tone Generator
Congratulations on purchasing the RTG (Random Tone Generator) synthesizer! Our new RTG is a faithful recreation of the EH1300 RTG, originally released in 1980, with some modern enhancements: status LED, footswitch to engage/disengage the output and comes in our nano sized enclosure. The randomly-produced tones range between 20Hz and 1kHz.
CONTROLS & FEATURES
RATE KNOB – Changes how often the tones are produced. As you turn the RATE
knob clockwise, the generated tone is updated more often. The range of the RATE is 5 seconds to 0.1 seconds.
GLIDE SWITCH – Enables a portamento-like (pitch glide) effect. OUTPUT JACK – Plug this into your amp or the input of other effects. It is
compatible with instrument or line-level inputs. FOOTSWITCH – Engages/Disengages the output. When the LED is off, the output
is muted. POWER JACK – Compatible with BOSS-style 9.6VDC / 200mA power adapters
with center negative plugs. The RTG can also be powered by a 9V battery. To prolong battery life, be sure to unplug the output jack when the RTG is not in use. Maximum current draw: 7mA.
