wie in der Bedienungsanleitung angegeben und beachten Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise.
Achtung! Das Gerät nicht verwenden wenn:
- es Funktionsstörungen aufweist.
- es heruntergefallen ist und/oder sichtbare Schäden am Gehäuse oder dem Netzkabel
hat.
Ein beschädigtes Netzkabel darf ausschließlich von einem Fachmann (*) ausgewechselt
werden, um Gefährdungen durch elektrischen Strom zu vermeiden. Für alle Reparaturen
wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann (*).
Klären Sie Ihre Kinder über Gefahren die im Zusammenhang mit elektrischen Geräten
entstehen können auf:
- Gefahr durch elektrischen Strom.
- Gefahr durch heiße Geräteteile und während des Betriebes entweichenden heißen
Dampf.
Wählen Sie den Standort Ihres Gerätes so, dass Kinder und Personen, die nicht sachgemäß
mit elektrischen Geräten umgehen können, keinen Zugriff auf das Gerät haben.
Benutzen und lagern Sie das Gerät nur außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern. Auch das
Netzkabel muss für Kinder unerreichbar sein, sie könnten das Gerät daran herunterziehen.
Zur Sicherheit keine Verpackungsteile (Plastikbeutel, Karton, Styropor, etc.) für Kinder
erreichbar liegen lassen. Sie dürfen nicht mit dem Kunststoffbeutel spielen, es besteht
Erstickungsgefahr!
Achtung Stromschlaggefahr! Netzkabel und der Stecker dürfen auf keinen Fall mit Wasser
oder anderen Flüssigkeiten in Berührung kommen.
- Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien.
- Tauchen Sie das Gerät und das Netzkabel nie in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten,
weder zum Reinigen noch zu einem anderen Zweck.
- Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe eines Wasch- oder Spülbeckens.
- Berühren Sie das Gerät nicht mit feuchten Händen.
- Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht auf feuchten Untergrund.

Um das Gerät vom Stromnetz zu trennen, immer am Netzstecker, nicht am Netzkabel

Aufstellen und Anschließen
• Zur Vermeidung von Unfällen und Schäden, stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine ebene, trockene
und rutschfeste Unterlage, die gegen Hitze und Wasserspritzer unempfindlich ist.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät weder auf eine Herdplatte, noch direkt neben einem heißen Ofen ab.
• Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose anschließen.
Die Netzspannung muss mit den technischen Daten des Gerätes übereinstimmen.
Verwenden Sie, falls dies nötig ist, ordnungsgemäße Verlängerungskabel, deren technische
Daten mit denen des Gerätes übereinstimmen.
• Das Gerät darf nicht über eine externe Schaltvorrichtung wie beispielsweise eine
Zeitschaltuhr versorgt werden, oder mit einem Stromkreis verbunden sein, der regelmäßig
durch eine Einrichtung ein- und ausgeschaltet wird.
• Der Wasserkocher darf nur mit der vorgesehenen Abstellvorrichtung benutzt werden.
• Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel so, dass niemand daran ziehen und dass es nicht zur Stolperfalle
werden kann. Das Netzkabel darf nicht durch scharfe Kanten oder durch Berührung mit
heißen Stellen beschädigt werden. Das Netzkabel darf nie mit Nässe und Feuchtigkeit
Kontakt haben um Gefahren durch Stromschlag zu vermeiden.
• Als zusätzlicher Schutz vor Gefahren durch elektrischen Strom wird der Einbau einer
Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit einem Bemessungsauslösestrom von nicht mehr als
30 mA im Haushaltsstromkreis empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren Elektro-Installateur um Rat.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
• Entfernen Sie vor Gebrauch alle Verpackungsmaterialien und Schutzfolien.
• Bevor Sie das erste Mal mit dem Gerät Wasser kochen, wird empfohlen, das Gerät durch
mehrmaliges Wasseraufkochen zu reinigen und anschließend auszuspülen.
Gebrauch
• Lassen Sie das Gerät zur Sicherheit während des Gebrauchs nie unbeaufsichtigt.
• Zum Wassereinfüllen den Wasserbehälter von der Basisstation nehmen. Achten Sie beim
Einfüllen von Wasser darauf, dass kein Wasser außen über das Gerät läuft, es könnte in das
Geräteinnere eindringen und Schaden an der Elektrik verursachen.
• Hinweis: Wasserkocher nicht mit zu viel oder zu wenig Wasser betreiben. Die eingefüllte
Wassermenge muss sich auf der Wasserstandsskala zwischen den Markierungen MIN und
MAX befinden. Bei Überfüllung besteht Verbrennungsgefahr durch überlaufendes oder
herausspritzendes, kochendes Wasser.
• Vorsicht Verbrennungsgefahr! Das Gerät wird während des Betriebes sehr heiß! Um
Verbrennungsrisiken zu vermeiden benutzen Sie zum Öffnen und Schließen des Deckels den
wärmeisolierten Schieber am Deckel. Berühren Sie nie den heißen Deckel oder das
Gehäuse. Vorsicht beim Kochen entweicht sehr heißer Dampf!
• Bei Betrieb von Elektro-Wärmegeräten entstehen hohe Temperaturen - durch kochendes
Wasser, heißen Dampf sowie heißes Gehäuse und heißen Deckel - die zu Verletzungen
führen können. Den heißen Wasserkocher nur am Griff anfassen. Solange das Gerät in
Betrieb ist und kocht, nicht den Deckel öffnen um Verbrühung zu vermeiden!

• Achtung! Gerät keinesfalls ohne Wasser oder mit offenem Deckel aufheizen! Es besteht sonst
Gefahr von Überhitzung des Gerätes und Austritt von heißem Dampf.
• In der unmittelbaren Umgebung dürfen sich während des Gebrauchs keine hitze- oder
dampfempfindlichen Materialien befinden! Halten Sie genügend Sicherheitsabstand zu
Wänden, Möbeln, etc. ein.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass das Netzkabel nicht die heißen Teile des Gerätes (wie z. B. das
Metallgehäuse) berührt.
• Transportieren Sie das Gerät nicht im heißen Zustand. Lassen Sie es ausreichend abkühlen,
bevor Sie es reinigen und wegräumen.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien und bewahren Sie es an einem trockenen Platz auf.
Das Gerät ist nicht für den Gebrauch im Freien bestimmt. Luftfeuchtigkeit und
Witterungseinflüsse können Schäden am Gerät verursachen.
• Bereiten Sie nur Wasser mit diesem Gerät, es ist nicht zum Kochen von Lebensmitteln
vorgesehen.
• Halten Sie das Gerät stets sauber und lassen Sie kein Wasser darin stehen, um Verkalkung
vorzubeugen.
Reinigung und Aufbewahrung
• Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen den Netzstecker.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen oder wegräumen.
• Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel erst dann auf, wenn das Gerät komplett abgekühlt ist.
• Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine scheuernden oder aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.
• Benutzen Sie keine spitzen, scharfen oder scheuernden Reinigungsgeräte, um die
Edelstahloberfläche zu schützen. Benutzen Sie keinesfalls metallene Gegenstände
(Topfkratzer, Gabel, Messer usw.) zur Reinigung.
• Tauchen Sie Basisstation, Wasserkocher, Netzkabel und Netzstecker niemals in Wasser oder
andere Flüssigkeiten und achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser darüber läuft. Die elektrischen
Teile im Inneren können Schaden nehmen. Eindringen von Wasser in elektrische Geräte führt
zu Beschädigung wie z. B. Kurzschluss.

VOR DEM ERSTEN GEBRAUCH
Vorsicht Verbrennungsgefahr! Vorsicht Austritt von heißem Dampf! Das Gerät wird während des
Betriebes sehr heiß!
• Entfernen Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
• Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vollständig ab.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine hitzefeste, trockene, rutschfeste und ebene Fläche.
• Reinigen Sie den Wasserbehälter vor dem ersten Gebrauch mit einem leicht feuchten
Lappen und kochen Sie zur Entfernung eventueller Produktionsrückstände etwas Wasser auf
(siehe Kapitel „Wasserkochen“). Danach spülen Sie den Wasserkocher gründlich aus.

WASSERKOCHEN
Vorsicht Verbrennungsgefahr! Vorsicht Austritt von heißem Dampf! Das Gerät wird während des
Betriebes sehr heiß! Beim Umgang mit heißen Flüssigkeiten besteht Verbrennungs- und
Verbrühungsgefahr! Den heißen Wasserkocher nur am Griff oder den Kunststoffflächen
berühren. Solange das Gerät in Betrieb ist, nicht den Deckel öffnen!
Der Wasserkocher darf nur mit der vorgesehenen Abstellvorrichtung benutzt werden.
• Zum Wasser einfüllen entfernen Sie den Wasserbehälter immer von der Basisstation.
• Zum Öffnen des Deckels ziehen Sie den Entriegelungsknopf nach hinten. Achten Sie dabei
darauf, dass weder heißes Wasser noch heißer Wasserdampf austritt um Verletzungen durch
Verbrühen zu vermeiden.
• Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit frischem Wasser. Die Füllmenge darf die Markierung MAX
oder MIN an der Wasserstandsskala außen am Wasserbehälter nicht über- bzw.
unterschreiten.
• Deckel fest schließen bis er eingerastet ist. Nur mit einem richtig geschlossenen Deckel
• kann die automatische Abschaltfunktion funktionieren.
• Stellen Sie den Wasserkocher auf die Basisstation und schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem
Sie den Ein/Aus Schalter in Position „I“ (EIN) drücken.
• Der Wasserkocher schaltet sich einige Sekunden nachdem das Wasser gekocht hat
automatisch ab. Sie können ihn jederzeit manuell ausschalten, indem Sie den Ein/Aus
Schalter betätigen.
• Wenn Sie das Wasser erneut zum Kochen bringen wollen, das Gerät mit dem Ein/Aus Schalter
wieder einschalten.
• Das Gerät ist durch ein Trockengehschutzsystem geschützt. Dies schaltet die Heizfunktion des
Wasserkochers aus, wenn er versehentlich ohne Wasser oder mit nicht ausreichender
Wassermenge benutzt wird. Achtung! Das Gerät ist dadurch nicht vollständig ausgeschaltet.
Es schaltet sich wieder ein, wenn es abgekühlt ist. Daher Gerät nicht ohne Wasser
einschalten!
• Nach Benutzung Netzstecker ziehen.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
Achtung! Vor der Reinigung oder dem Transport grundsätzlich Netzstecker ziehen und Gerät
abkühlen lassen.
Vorsicht Stromschlaggefahr! Den Wasserkocher, die Basisstation, das Netzkabel und den
Netzstecker niemals in Wasser eintauchen.
• Wischen Sie den Wasserkocher außen gelegentlich mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch und bei
Bedarf etwas Haushaltsreiniger ab.
• Verwenden Sie keine scharfen oder spitzen Gegenstände zur Reinigung um Kratzer und
Schäden zu vermeiden.
• Sollte es in Gegenden mit hohen Wasserhärtewerten zu Kalkrückständen kommen, können
diese mit handelsüblichen Entkalkungsmitteln entfernt werden.
ENTKALKUNG
Entkalken Sie Ihr Gerät regelmäßig, je nach Härtegrad Ihres Wassers, jedoch mindestens einmal
im Monat. Verwenden Sie dazu nur flüssige, handelsübliche Entkalkungsmittel und beachten
Sie die entsprechende Gebrauchsanleitung.
Das Entfernen von Kalkrückständen gehört zur Reinigung und wird von der Garantie nicht
erfasst. Die Garantie deckt Fabrikations- und Materialfehler.

aus wird die spezifische Behandlung, Verwertung bzw. das Recycling gem. den Erfordernissen

GEWÄHRLEISTUNGS- UND GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
Für unsere Produkte gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen für Gewährleistungsansprüche.
Innerhalb dieser Zeit werden Mängel, welche auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern beruhen,
behoben. Davon ausgeschlossen sind Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen, Schäden, die
durch übermäßige Beanspruchung, unsachgemäße Behandlung und Wartung sowie durch
Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung entstehen, Schäden, welche durch Verschleiß oder
infolge normaler Abnützung entstanden sind. Ebenso weisen wir darauf hin, dass die
Gewährleistung bei Fremdeingriff erlischt. Hierbei wird der Verkäufer im Fall eines Schadens
keine Haftung übernehmen.
Sollten Sie einen Mangel feststellen, geben Sie bitte das vollständige Gerät an ihren Händler
bzw. Verkaufsstelle. Gewährleistungsansprüche gelten nur in Verbindung mit dem zugehörigen

Sie haben auch die Möglichkeit, das gesäuberte Gerät mit einer kurzen, gut lesbaren
Fehlerbeschreibung zusammen mit dem Kassenbon in einer frankierten Sendung an unseren
Kundendienst in unserer Firma in Bad Blankenburg zu senden.
Defekte Zubehörteile führen nicht zum Umtausch des Gerätes, sondern werden kostenlos im
Austausch zugesandt. In diesem Fall bitte nicht das Gerät einschicken, sondern nur das defekte
Zubehörteil bestellen! Glasbruchschäden sind grundsätzlich kostenpflichtig.
Sowohl Defekte an Verbrauchszubehör bzw. Verschleißteilen, als auch Reinigung, Wartung
oder der Austausch von Verschleißteilen, fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistung und sind
deshalb kostenpflichtig!

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way,
due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge,
must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
Acquaint yourself with the instruction manual before taking your appliance into operation.
If you hand over the appliance to another user, please make sure to hand over the
instruction manual as well.
Intended use: This appliance is intended to boil water in private households. It is not
intended for commercial use. Only use the appliance in the way indicated in these

Caution! Do not use the appliance when:

Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician

Positioning and connecting
• To avoid accidents and damages, always put the appliance on a level, dry and slip-proof
surface which is insensitive to heat and water splashes.
• Never put the appliance on a hotplate or close to a hot oven.
• Connect the appliance only to a wall socket that has been installed according to
regulations. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to the technical data of the
appliance. If necessary, use a proper extension cord, and make sure the technical data
correspond to those of the appliance.
• Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate
remote control system, or be connected with an electric circuit that is switched on and off
regularly by a device.
• The electric water jug can only be used with the foreseen support.
• Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Make sure the cord never comes into
contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Make sure the cord never comes into contact
with moisture or humidity to avoid danger of electrocution.
• To ensure a major security, it is recommended to set up a current flight jump of 30 mA in the
electric circuit that supplies the household. Ask your electrician for advice.

Before the first use
• Remove all packaging material and protective foils.
• Before boiling water with the appliance for the first time, we recommend cleaning the
appliance by boiling water several times and rinsing the appliance afterwards.
Use
• Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
• To fill the jug with water always remove it from the base station. Make sure that no water runs
down the appliance on the outside, it could penetrate into the inner part of the appliance
and damage the electric parts.
• Please note: Do not operate the electric water jug with too much or too little water. The
water level must always be between the MIN and MAX marks on the water level scale.
When you overfill the appliance, there is a risk of burning because of overflowing or spouting
boiling water.
• Watch out! Danger of burning! The appliance becomes very hot during use! In order to avoid
risks of burning, use the thermally insulated slider on the lid to open and close the lid. Never
touch the hot lid or housing. Be careful as very hot steam escapes when the water is boiling!
• During the operation of electrical heating appliances, high temperatures arise – due to
boiling water, hot steam and a hot housing and lid – which may lead to injuries. Take the hot
electric water jug by its handle only. As long as the appliance is in operation and boils water,
do not open the lid in order to avoid scalding!
• Caution! Never heat the appliance without water or with an open lid! Otherwise there is a
danger of overheating and escape of hot steam.
• When the appliance is in operation, there should be no materials that are sensitive to heat or
steam in the immediate surroundings! Keep a sufficient safety distance to walls, furniture,
etc.

• Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance (such as
the metal housing).
• Do not move the appliance when it is in hot condition. Let it cool down sufficiently before
cleaning and storing it.
• Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment. The appliance is
not intended for outdoor use. Air humidity and weather effects may damage the appliance.
• Only prepare water with this appliance, it is not intended to cook foodstuffs.
• Always keep the appliance clean and do not let water in the jug when you store the
appliance in order to avoid calcification.
Cleaning and storage
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Let the appliance cool down before cleaning or storing it.
• Wait to wind up the power cord until the appliance has cooled down completely.
• Do not use any abrasive or aggressive detergents for cleaning.
• Do not use any pointed, sharp or abrasive cleaning devices in order to protect the stainless
steel surface. Never use metal objects (pan scourer, fork, knife etc.) for cleaning.
• Never immerse the base station, electric water jug, power cord and plug in water or any
other liquid and make sure that they do not come in contact with water. The electric parts
inside can get damaged. Penetration of water into electrical appliances leads to damages
such as short circuit.

BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
Watch out! Danger of burning! Escape of hot steam! The appliance becomes very hot during
use!
• Remove all packaging material before the first use.
• Unroll the power cord completely.
• Put the appliance on a heat-proof, dry, slip-proof and level surface.
• Clean the electric water jug before the first use with a slightly damp cloth and boil some
water to remove any manufacturing residues (see chapter „Boiling water“). Then rinse the
electric water jug thoroughly.
BOILING WATER
Watch out! Danger of burning! Escape of hot steam! The appliance becomes very hot during
use! When handling hot liquids there is a danger of burning and scalding! Only touch the hot
water jug by the handle or the plastic parts. Do not open the lid when the appliance is in
operation!
Only use the electric water jug with the foreseen support.
• To fill the jug with water always remove it from the base station.
• Pull the release button backwards to open the lid. Make sure that no hot water or hot steam
escapes in order to avoid wounds by scalding.

• Fill the water jug with fresh water. Always fill between the MAX and MIN marks of the water
level scale on the outside of the water jug.
• Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place. The automatic cutoff can only function with a
properly closed lid.
• Put the water jug on the base station and switch on the appliance, by pressing the
on/off switch in position „I“ (ON).
• The electric water jug switches off automatically a few seconds after the water has started to
boil. You can switch it off manually at any time by pressing the on/off switch.
• If you want to bring the water to the boil again, switch the appliance back on with the on/off
switch.
• The appliance is protected by a boil-dry protection system. It switches off the heating
function of the electric water jug when it is accidentally switched on without water or with
not enough water. Caution! This does not switch off the appliance completely. It switches
back on, when it has cooled down. So do not switch on the appliance without water!
• Unplug the appliance after use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Caution! Before cleaning or transport, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
Watch out! Risk of electric shock! Never immerse the electric water jug, the base station, the
power cord or the plug in water.
• Wipe the outside of the electric water jug on occasion with a slightly damp cloth and when
necessary with some household detergent.
• Never use sharp or pointed utensils to clean the appliance in order to avoid scratches and
damages.
• If calcium deposits would occur in areas with water with a high degree of hardness, these
can be removed with commercially available decalcifying agents.
DESCALING
Descale your appliance regularly, depending on the degree of hardness of the water in your
region, and at least once a month. Use liquid products made especially available for this
purpose. Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles and follow the product's
instruction manual carefully.
Removing calcium deposits is a cleaning task and is not covered by the guarantee. The
guarantee covers manufacturing and material defects.

municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it free of charge to a municipal collection point

TERMS OF GUARANTEE
For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the
legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted
for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to
intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear
and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if
attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held
responsible in case of accidents.
If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete
appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only
be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs
repair.
Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of
the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service in our firm in Bad
Blankenburg.
In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the
accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but
only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.
Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of
worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
