1. IMPORTANT REMARK Congratulations! You are the owner of a carefully designed and manufactured equipment.
We thank you for trusting in us and choosing our UMA Series loudspeaker cabinets. In order to get the optimum operation and efficiency from this unit, it is VERY IMPORTANT
- before you plug anything - to read this manual very carefully and bear in mind all considerations
specified within it. We strongly recommend that its maintenance be carried out by our Authorised Technical services.
2. WARNINGS
No user serviceable parts exist inside these units. Never use this unit in the proximity of water. Do not expose the unit to water splashing, nor place liquid containers on top of it.
Avoid placing the unit next to heat sources. Use only accessories provided by the manufacturer. The units must never be flown from their transportation handles. Use the correct
accessories for each application. Whenever loudspeakers are wall or ceiling mounted, a redundant mounting system is obligatory as safety measure. Use a steel cable or chain of suitable gauge to avoid the fall of the loudspeaker in case some element of the main suspension system would break away from its fastening device.
3. INTRODUCTION
The speakers of UMA series have been specially designed for a huge variety of mobile applications und fix installations that require a compact and light speaker with a high efficiency and that is easy to transport and to install. High quality 15 mm plywood has been used for manufacturing. All models are equipped with a grill of 1.5mm thicknes s to protect the loudspeak ers from blows or foreign objects. The UMA series passive filters are LC type ones with low tolerance polyester condensers and heavy gauge wire coils. All models incorporate an effective high frequency protection system against feedback or signal clipping. Connection plates are equipped with Speakon® connectors.

4. MODELS
UMA112
Loudspeaker with 15mm thick, high quality plywood. Contains a 12'' woofer. Ceramic
magnet with 77mm coil. The high way wears a 1'' compression driver with mylar diaphragma, attached to a 90ºx40º diffusor with constant directivity. Trapezoidal shape.
Provides lateral handles and an additional handle on the back side with Speakon
connectors for signal input and stack output. Allows stackage on subwoofer unit UMA SB118. UMA115
Loudspeaker made with 15mm thick, high quality plywood. Contains a 15'' woofer. Ceramic
magnet with 100mm coil. The high way wears a 1'' compression driver with mylar diaphragma, attached to a 90ºx40º diffusor with constant directivity. Trapezoidal shape.
Provides lateral handles and an additional handle on the back side with Speakon®
connectors for signal input and stack output.
The models UMA112 and UMA115 have a presence selector for high frequencies on the
backside that allows adapting of the high frequency response of the loudspeaker to the application or to the character of the room the speakers are installed in.
UMA215
Loudspeaker made with 15mm thick, high quality plywood. Contains a double 15'' woofer.
Ceramic magnet with 100mm coil. The high way wears a 1'' compression driver with polypropylene diaphragma, attached to a 90ºx40º diffusor with constant directivity. Trapezoidal shape.
Provides lateral handles and an additional handle on the back side with Speakon
connectors for signal input and stack output. UMA SB118
Subwoofer unit. Loudspeaker made with 15mm thick, high quality plywood. Contains an
18'' woofer. Ceramic magnet with 100mm coil. Wears a 35mm pole socket that allows to easily stack additional units as well as UMA112 boxes. Equipped with Speakon connectors for input and stack output.

5. CONNECTIONS The connection cables which connect the amplifiers output and the speaker should be of
good quality, have sufficient conductor area and be as short as possible. The latter fact is specially important when the distance is long and the load impedance low (4-8 Ω). A cross-section of at least
2.5mm
2
is recommended for distances up to 10m; 4 or 6mm2 for longer distances. Following formula
gives the required section, assuming 4% losses: Length in m
Cross section in mm

Always respect polarity. All connections are Speakon® type. The pin-out is indicated in the diagram. The back panel connexion plate has a second Speakon® connector to connect loudspeakers in parallel. With this manual you'll find a spare Speakon® connector.
6. RECOMMENDED AMPLIFIER Following table shows the output power of the amplifier ade quate to each acoustic system:
UMA112 between 350 and 700W UMA115 between 450 and 900W UMA215 between 1000 and 2000W UMA SB118 between 500 and 1000W
7. PRE-AMPLIFYING MIXERS
Avoid excessive gain adjustments in the equalizer or tone control sections.
8. PLACEMENT Consider following general rules:
Place the acoustic enclosures on solid and firm surfaces. The Sub bass speakers will
prove more effective if pl aced on the floor ho rizontally, instead of flying, elevating or placing the unit vertically. No obstacles should stand between the enclosures and the audience. The high frequencies are very directive compared to the low frequencies, so that any obstacle will impair their response. In case large audiences must be addressed, a better long distance sound propagation will be achieved if the enclosures are flown high enough.

9. INSTALLATION The UMA series has been designed to offer the greatest possible flexibility and easiness
concerning installation and transport.
Each model of the range has milled lateral handles and an additional handle on the
backside which are helpful during the installation of the sp eakers.
In the following we explain the possibilities of installation for each of the speakers from the
UMA series. UMA112
Includes 12 embedded nuts with M8 thread that allow to hang-up the speaker inserting
hooks, to which chains or steel cables can be attached. Also offers a standard 35mm pole socket for mounting on ECLER TRIP01 tripod, ECLER SR12 wall anchor or ECLER POLE01 accessory for fast configuration to the UMA SB118 subwoofer unit. (see included diagram)
UMA115 Includes 12 embedded nuts with M8 thread that allow to hang-up the speaker inserting
hooks, to which chains or steel cables can be attached. Also offers a standard 35mm pole socket for mounting on ECLER TRIP01 tripod.
UMA215 Includes 3 hang-up points (two on the sides and one on the back) to insert the metallic
pieces from the accessory kit ECLER FL200 (see included diagram). UMA SB118 The UMA SB118 subwoofer has been designed to be installed on horizontal surfaces.
Includes pole socket for inserting 35 mm shank of ECLER POLE01. This unit is also prepared to stack other UMA SB118 or UMA112 / UMA115 units, due to milling on the upper side.
IMPORTANT NOTE
In no case should these equipments be suspended via their carrying handles; use
the accessories adapted to each application. Whenever loudspeakers are wall or ceiling mounted, a redundant mounting system is obligatory as safety measure. Use a steel cable or chain of suitable gauge to avoid the fall of the loudspeaker in case some element of the main suspension system would break away from its fastening device.
