Q: What type of fuel should I use with the SRM-2400/2410?
A: Fuel consists of 89 Octane gasoline unleaded combined with ECHO High Performance two stoke oil at a fuel to oil ratio of 50:1.
Q: How do I start the engine of the trimmer?
A: For cold starting, the choke should be closed, purge bulb pumped until fuel is seen in the clear fuel return line then pull the starter handle till the engine fires. For warm start do not close choke and follow the above procedure.
Q: What clothing should I have on to operate the trimmer?
A: ANSI Z87.1 Displayed Eye Protection, Hearing Protection Clothing Made Of Durable Material. Non Skid soles make work shoes ideal.
Q: Can this device work with metal blades?
A: Yes, but before using metal blades it is a requirement that a U-Handle Kit be put in place along with a Blade Conversion Kit as a precaution.
Q: How often should maintenance be performed?
A: Maintenance such includes the monitoring and cleaning of the air filter and spark plug, inspection of the unit for leaks and assurance that all parts are functioning.
Q: What is the possibility of getting a spare trimmer component?
A: Only an Authorized ECHO Dealer can provide genuine ECHO parts and assemblies. For parts, remember to obtain your model number, type number, and serial number.
