Operation & Installation Guide

Controller Overview
Your system operations are dependant on the design of the
system being used with the ECHO kit. Please refer to the system’s operation guide for details on each function. The controller
button will perform the same operations as your original transmit-
ter’s button with added 2-way con rmation.

When remote start is activated, the controller will respond with two green light fl ashes and play the “remote
start” tone (unless in mute mode). After the engine is running, the green light will fl ash once every 2 seconds. When
remote start is turned off in any way, the controller will play the “remote stop” tone (unless in mute mode) and the
green light will no longer fl ash.

Controller Options
The controller responds with two green light fl ashes and two beeps (unless in mute mode).
UNLOCK
Insert the battery while NOT pressing the controller button. The LED (light) above the button will NOT fl ash, indicat-
ing that the controller is in “Audible” mode.
AUDIBLE MODE (DEFAULT)
Press and hold the controller button while inserting the battery. The LED (light) above the button will fl ash once,
indicating that the controller is in “Mute” mode.

Controller 2-way Functions

The ECHO-1 communicates with a window-mounted base unit which is plugged directly into the host
system’s module. The window-mount antenna should be mounted directly to the interior glass by
utilizing the attached adhesive pad (clean the glass before adhering) for the best performance. The
receiver/transmitter also contains alternative Status Lights and a Valet Switch. These may be used, or
the original items may be retained.

Locate &
