Adjusting the tension
Adjust the tension on your Vario 5
to match the tension on the Easyrig
STABIL. If you have a Cinema 3 skip this
step.
Before adjusting the tension on your
Vario 5, make sure to lock the arm or
keep it at the lowest position with your
hand to avoid interference from the
Easyrig STABIL.
For further details please read the Vario
5 user manual.
Adjusting the tension
Increase the tension of the spring by turning
the knob clockwise. The knob will make a
clicking sound to indicate your new setting.
Decrease the tension by turning the knob
counter-clockwise. The Easyrig STABIL can
take weights between 5-25 kg (11-55 lbs).
The Easyrig STABIL is adjusted correctly if
the arm is resting between the lowest and
highest position.

Adjusting the slider
Place the camera hook in front of the
upper arm (1). Adjust the slider (2) to
preferred location and lock it tight. When
the slider is in position, gently put back
the camera hook.
The Easyrig STABIL has ball bearings
in the back of the arm, enabling smooth
lateral movement from left to right. This
smooth lateral movement together with
the spring (up and down) will make your
shots steadier.

Adjust according to your height
Open the Vario 5 cover, turn the 4 nuts in
each corner counter-clockwise. Now, you
will be able to slide the power pack up or
down according to your height or what
shots you want to achieve. See Vario 5
user manual for further details.

Adjust according to your height
To raise the upper arm further, release
the two screws on the upper block
(under the rubber bellow).
Important: The power of the Vario 5
power pack needs to be at its lowest
before attempting this. The highest
setting possible is when the tube is level
with the nylon block, going further than
that can cause damage to the user or
equipment.
If you are lowering the block, make sure
to pre-stretch the line with 5cm/2”.
6
Locking the arm
To lock the Easyrig STABIL in 90 degrees, line up the holes and insert the
pin. The pin is located in the base of the
Easyrig STABIL arm. The locking pin
needs to be screwed on until it is level
with the side of the arm.
