Installation Instructions
Radiant Heating System Pack for Electric Radiant Heating Systems
Provides large area coverage using only 1 thermostat.
Using a 120 VAC control power circuit, switches multiple 120 VAC or 240 VAC radiant heating
systems, each with a total 24 Amp maximum load. Maintains thermostat settings indefinitely when load power circuit is interupted.
IMPORTANT:
It is recommended that the RHSP-1 Radiant Heating System Pack be installed by professional electricians who have adequate knowledge of electric radiant heating systems and electrical wiring, and in accordance with all applicable national and local electrical codes (CEC, NEC) and ordinances, regulations and inspection procedures. Electrical inspection may be required during and/or after system installation. Consult with your local electrical inspection authority before beginning installation. Keep these instructions for future reference and pass on to any future users of the system.
Operation:
Please refer to the Floor Warming Electronic Thermostat and RK-1 Relay Kit installation instructions for operational details.
CONTENTS:
1 Floor Warming Electronic Thermostat; 1 RK-1 Relay Kit.
SUITABLE APPLICATION:
This product is only intended for the purpose of controlling the power supply to Easy Heat’s 120VAC or 240VAC
to ensure that interruptions in power to the Load will not affect the Electronic Thermostat settings (clock, temperature setpoint, etc.) – this is accomplished by providing a separate power source for the thermostat. The thermostat settings will then be unaffected indefinitely so long as the thermostat power source is maintained. This feature is of particular benefit for “interruptible” type loads, where the local electrical utility provide low cost power for loads that can be deenergized at certain times, such as periods of high electrical demand. Alternately, some utilities provide similar low cost “off-peak” power for loads that can only be operated during certain hours, such as overnight. Due to the potential for load power discontinuation for several hours or days, it is necessary to have a reliable power source for an electronic type thermostat.
