This is a highly versatile tool that can be used for a

1. INTRODUCTION
Your heat gun has been designed for stripping paint, soldering pipes, shrinking PVC, welding
and bending plastic as well as general drying and thawing purposes.
WARNING! For your own safety read this instruction manual and general
safety instructions carefully before using the appliance. Your power tool
should only be passed on together with these instructions.

3. UNPACKING
Remove all packing materials.
Remove remaining packaging and transit supports if any.
Check all contents are included in the packaging.
Check the appliance, the power cord, the power plug and all accessories for transportation
damage.
It is recommended to keep the packaging materials until the end of the specified warranty
>>period. Dispose of relevant materials using your local waste disposal system on expiry of
>>warranty.
WARNING! Packing materials are not toys! Children must not play with
plastic bags! Danger of suffocation!

5. GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNING
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow such may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury. Save all safety warnings and instructions for future reference.
5.1 WORK AREA SAFETY
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.

5.2 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Power tool plugs must match the mains supply socket-outlet. Never modify the plug in any
>>way.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
Do not use on materials of or containing asbestos.
DO NOT EXPOSE POWER TOOLS TO RAIN OR WET CONDITIONS.
Do not abuse the power cord. Never use the power cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
>>the power tool. Keep power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use, i.e.
>>type SxW where x is any combination of J,E,O or T. Extension cord rating for this heat gun
>>shall be 13A (1625W) maximum at 125V maximum.
>>If under 50ft length, 16 AWG minimum size is required.
>>If over 50ft length, 14 AWG minimum size is required.
If this heat gun is used outdoors, an approved 125V 15A rated ALCI (Appliance Leakage
>>Current Interrupter) 6mA trip protected circuit must be used for added protection against
>>electric shock.
5.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, follow directions stated in the instruction manual and use common sense when
>>operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
Use safety equipment. It is recommended to wear eye protection. We recommend wearing
>>a pair of heavy grade non-pvc type work gloves for protection against burns.
Avoid accidental starting by ensuring the switch is in the off “0” position before plugging in.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts.
If heat gun or power cord is damaged upon receipt, DONOTUSE. Return to point of
purchase.
5.4 HEAT GUN USE AND CARE
Do not use the heat gun if the switch does not turn on and off. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous AND SHOULD NOT BE USED.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or sticking of moving parts, breakage of
parts and other conditions that may affect operation of the power tool. If damaged, DO
>>NOTUSE.
Use the heat gun and accessories in accordance with these instructions and in the manner
>>intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions
>>and the work to be performed.
