Your serial nu mber can b e found on y our rating plate which is on the b ase of
the appliance.

WHAT IS COVERED
• The repair or repla cement of your Dyson appliance (at Dy son’s discretion) if it is fo und
to be defective due to faul ty materials, workmans hip or function wi thin 2 year s of
purchas e or delive ry (if any part is n o longer a vailable or out of manufact ure Dys on
will replace it with a functional replaceme nt part).
• This Dyson guarantee will o nly be valid if the appliance is us ed in the country in which
it was sold.
WHAT IS N OT COVERED
• Replac ement f ilter units. The ap pliance 's filter units are not covere d by the guarantee.
Under your Dyson guarantee, Dyso n shall not b e liable for costs of repair or r eplace ment
of a produc t incurr ed as a result of:
• Damage caused by n ot carr ying out the recommende d appliance maintenance.
• Accide ntal damage, faults cause d by neglig ent use or care, misuse, neglec t, careless
operat ion or handling of the D yson appliance w hich is not in a ccordance with this
Dyson O perating Manual.
• Use of the D yson ap pliance f or anyt hing othe r than nor mal dome stic pur poses in the
country of purchase.
• Use of par ts not assembl ed or installed in accordan ce with th e instruction s of Dyson.
• Use of par ts and a ccessories other than those produced or re commen ded by Dy son.
• Fault y install ation (exc ept where installed by Dyson).
• Repairs or altera tions car ried out by part ies othe r than Dy son or its a uthori sed agents.
• Blockages – Plea se refer to the ‘Care and mainte nance’ se ction and illustrations in t his
Dyson O perating Manual for details of how to lo ok for and clear blockages.
• Normal w ear and te ar (e.g. fuse etc.).
• Reduc tion in batter y discha rge time du e to battery age or use (cordless ma chines only).
• Wheth er or not your Dyson guarante e applie s, you may ha ve stat utory rights an d
remedies available to you as a consumer. If yo u are in any doubt as to what is covered
by your Dy son guara ntee, ple ase call the Dyso n Helplin e.
OTHER T ERMS REL ATIN G TO THE DYSO N GUARANTEE
• The Dyson guarantee becomes ef fec tive from the date of purchase.
• All work w ill be carr ied out by D yson A pplianc es (Aus t.) Pty Limited, D yson New
Zealand Limited ( NZ) or their authorised agents.
• Any par ts repl aced by D yson or it s service agents will become th e proper ty of D yson
Appliances (Aust.) Pt y Limite d or Dyso n New Zealand Limit ed (NZ ).
• You must provi de proof of (both the original an d any subse quent) deliver y/purchase
before a ny work can b e carrie d out on your Dyson appliance. Without this proof, any
work carried out p ursuant to the Dyson guarantee and any associated delivery c harges
(both to an d from us) will be at your cost, subje ct to your statutory ri ghts and remedies
as a consumer. Please ke ep your re ceipt or deliver y note.
• Wheth er or not your Dyson guarante e applie s, you may ha ve stat utory rights an d
remedies available to you as a consumer. If yo u are in any doubt as to what is covered

In addition to your rights und er the Dy son guarantee, we al so provide the following
state ment as re quired by the Australian Consumer La w: In Aus tralia, your Dyson
appliance comes w ith sta tutor y guarantees that cannot b e exclude d under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a re placem ent or ref und for a major failure and for
compen sation f or any othe r reason ably fore seeab le loss or d amage. You are al so entitled
to have you r Dyson a pplianc e repaire d or replaced if it fails to be of acceptable qualit y
and the fa ilure does not amoun t to a major failure.
