To prevent accident hazard and damage to the blender, keep your hands, clothing and other
appliances or tools away from its moving parts. Do not wear loose clothing, chains, bracelets or
other jewellery during work. Wear a scarf or cap to retain your hair while using the appliance.
To avoid spattering food from the mixing bowl during blending, only operate the blender after
immersing the blades into the food to be blended.
Do not attempt to process solid foods with this appliance. Only use it for creams, sauces, dips and
other liquid foods. During use, ensure that the entire stainless steel blade head remains
completely immersed within the food being blended. Never use the hand blender on ice cubes, or
to prepare ice slush!
• Be especially careful when blending warm liquids or foods; spilling these creates a scalding hazard. Be sure to
remove dishes of hot food from the hob before blending them. Do not use the blender with food hotter than
80°C, as this could damage the blender on contact with the attachment. The manufacturer shall not be liable
for appliances so damaged.
• Always clean the blender after use, ideally immediately after completing work. This is important for hygiene,
and also because dried food remains can damage the blender’s blending attachment. During cleaning do not
immerse or hold the handle and motor under running water. The blending attachment and blades can be
cleaned immediately after use; no other cleaning can be performed unless the appliance is unplugged.
