User manual for dyras Professional Styling ionic hair dryer model AHD-2000

NOTES

Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using your new appliance. It is important to keep these instructions as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features available. The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance becomes damaged or defective as a result of the user not following the information included in the instruction manual. If the appliance becomes faulty during regular use, it should only be repaired by an authorised service engineer.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

The following safety instructions must be followed when using the appliance.

Please read this section very carefully!

Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety rules for every specific situation, so we ask you to apply commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a situation that isn’t described below.

•The appliance has only been designed for indoor use at home. Any other application, including commercial or professional use, is not permitted. You must not use the appliance outdoors under any circumstances.

•Never use the appliance outdoors.

Never use the appliance in the bath, in the shower or above a basin containing any water because of the risk of electric shock. Keep at least one metre from those situations and any other objects containing liquid when using the appliance. We strongly recommend that you avoid using the appliance in the bathroom and any other humid or potentially hazardous place. If the appliance is dropped into water, immediately disconnect it from the mains. Do not attempt to remove it or touch the water until the power has been switched off. If the appliance has been dropped into water or been in contact with high levels of humidity, take it to an authorised service engineer and have it checked before using it again.

•Before using the appliance in a bathroom, provide extra protection by installing an additional current safety switch (RCD) with a maximum sensitivity of 30 mA into the bathroom’s mains supply. A qualified electrician must perform this installation.

•If you put the appliance down during use, always turn it off for safety reasons.

•To avoid the risk of an electric shock, never immerse the appliance, the electric cable or plug in water or other liquids.

•Never touch the appliance with wet hands. Make sure your hands are dry when you plug the mains connector into the socket and when you unplug it. Always keep the casing, cable, mains plug and wall socket

completely dry. Avoid using the appliance near water or any other liquids. Do not touch the appliance if it gets wet or is exposed to moisture; unplug it from the mains socket immediately and take it to an authorised service engineer for checking or repair.

•This device is not supposed to be used by physically or mentally handicapped people, or persons without experience or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a person supervises or guides their use of the device, who is at the same time responsible for their safety. As for children, supervision is recommended to make sure that they do not play with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by children under the age of 14, not even with supervision!

•Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance with the mains cable because the cable can break or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised service engineer. The appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.

•Modifying or adding an extra length to the power cable of the appliance is forbidden!

Should the cable of the appliance turn out to be too short, it may be extended only by using a commercially available standard extension cable equipped with protective earth contact, and the extension cable must have an electrical rating of at least 16 A (cables with lower electrical rating could heat up during use). If other electric appliances have to be operated simultaneously with the same extension cable, their current consumptions must be added up to determine the electrical rating requirement of the extension cable. If an extension cable is used, both the mains socket and the extension cable must have protective earth. When an extension cable is used, special care must be taken to avoid tripping over it.

•The mains connector must be always disconnected from the wall socket after use and before cleaning. Never disconnect the appliance from the socket by pulling the mains cable; always grip the plug!

•Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.

•Please avoid using the appliance in any place where it would be subjected to high temperatures, low

temperatures, physical shocks or vibration. The appliance is designed to be operated and stored in a situation	EN
where temperatures are between +5° and +40° Celsius. Do not use the appliance in a wet or humid
environment.

•Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.

•Take care not to let any aerosol spray inside the appliance.

•The hair dryer nozzle may heat up during use, so avoid contact with the scalp.

•Take care to ensure the hair dryer power cable does not get in the way of the hair dryer’s air outlets.

•If you are using rollers to style your hair, ensure that when you use your hair dryer, any hairpins etc. are not sticking out more than 10 mm (finger width) so as to avoid contact with the electrics of the dryer through the air outlets.

•Never block the dryer’s air outlet or air vent. If these holes become blocked, the appliance’s safety thermal cut-off automatically switches off the dryer. After the appliance has cooled down, it comes on again automatically. This may take a few minutes.

•There is a grille over the dryer’s air vent to prevent hair from being sucked into or tangled up in it. Ensure your hair is kept away from the air vent during use. If the grille becomes clogged with lint, it must be unblocked (e.g. by using a vacuum cleaner brush), otherwise the dryer may overheat causing the thermal cut-off to switch off the appliance.

•Never use the appliance with its power cable damaged, if operation is erratic or it is otherwise damaged. In these cases take the appliance to an authorised service engineer for checking, repair or adjustment. Only skilled experts in the service station are authorised to repair the appliance.

•Warning! Disassembling the appliance, opening the casing or attempting to repair it at home are forbidden - non compliance with this instruction might result in serious accidents. The inside of the appliance does not contain any parts that can be repaired at home or used for any other purpose. Never use the appliance with damaged power cable or connector, if operation is erratic or if it was dropped and is otherwise damaged. If the appliance has become faulty for any reason or moisture has got inside the casing, take it to an authorised service engineer for checking or repair. Only skilled experts are authorised to repair the appliance. The

manufacturer is not liable for damages if home repair has been attempted or the instructions in the operating manual have not been complied with.

Dear Customer,

All electrical and mechanical equipment needs to be cared for appropriately. It’s important to note that using or storing the appliance in certain conditions may adversely affect its lifespan and functionality. Always protect the appliance from the conditions listed below.

Using or storing the appliance in a wet, humid or damp environment can cause:

-deterioration and premature aging of the cover and electric insulation of the appliance,

-premature wearing and aging of the plastic and rubber components,

-rust and corrosion affecting electrical components and metal parts.

If any air holes or vents become covered in dust or clogged with dust or hair, and they are not cleaned, this could cause:

-premature wear and tear of revolving, moving parts.

-electrical overload and/or overheating.

-the thermal cut-off to switch off the appliance due to overheating caused by insufficient ventilation.

-increased noise emission.

Warning! If lint is not cleaned off, it may come into contact with the appliance’s heating element and could catch fire, representing an accident and fire hazard.

The effects of direct sunlight on the appliance can include:

-accelerated deterioration of the appliance casing and its plastic and rubber components, damage to strength and other structural features. The appliance’s surface may become porous and fragile, which may result in a safety risk.

Continuous heavy duty use may cause:

-premature structural wear and tear of the electro-motor due to excessive use.

-premature wear and eventual blow out of the element.

-increased noise emission.

-general wear and tear of the appliance, and overheating of electric and mechanical components.

Storing the appliance in cold or frosty environment may cause:

-damage to the plastic and rubber components; if they become fragile, this may result in a safety risk.

-oxidation resulting from condensation, and corrosion of the metal components.

Direct and indirect heat (e.g. being too close to an oven or a heating appliance) can cause:

-damage, deformation, softening or melting of plastic or rubber parts and casing elements, or deterioration of electrical insulation.

Following the operating instructions and avoiding any of the conditions listed above will help you increase the lifespan of the appliance. The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance is stored inappropriately or contrary to these instructions. You are recommended to have the appliance serviced regularly by an authorised engineer to keep it working for as long as possible.

Please respect the environment when the appliance reaches the end of its life. Electrical products must not be disposed of with other residential waste because they can damage the natural world and may be hazardous to human health. You should dispose of the appliance at an appropriate recycling site or by using a collection service that specialises in electrical appliances.

POWER SUPPLY

The appliance must only be connected to mains electricity of 220-240 V and 50 Hz.

Always ensure the mains voltage where you’re using the appliance corresponds to the value shown on the nameplate of the appliance.

USING OF APPLIANCE

•Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

•Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

•The construction of the hair dryer allows fast, effective hair drying and hair styling as well; at the same time the appliance operates with low noise. The following useful features and accessories make for a comfortable use Sliding switch to regulate air flow and temperature.

The sliding switch has 3 settings: Air flow speed can be adjusted in the following ways:

Cool shot button (COOL)

When pressing the snap switch the dryer will blow mild air instead of the original high temperature air. This function makes for comfortable use, especially for those with sensitive skin where hair is dried with the original high air temperature, while the skin surface (brows, temple and the skin around the ears, etc.) could be dried with

mild air temperature. To make use of this function, the snap switch must be pressed down continuously. When the snap switch is released, the dryer will continue to operate with the air temperature set previously.

Anion generátor

When the dryer is in use, its anion generator runs constantly. During drying and combing, hair generally gets electrostatically charged and the strands become positive. The anion generator neutralizes this effect, allowing hair to be combed and styled easily and ensuring hair stays in place for longer.

Diffuser

You can attach the diffuser whenever you want. The diffuser directs the air from the dryer between hair strands, reducing the pressure on outer strands caused by drying and the time necessary to dry the hair. Using the diffuser enhances your hair’s vitality, leaving it voluminous, natural looking and easy to style.

Nozzle

You can attach the nozzle whenever you want. It can be rotated 360 degrees to direct concentrated air wherever you need it to dry your hair.

Hanging loop

By hanging the hair dryer up by the loop, you can save space while always having the appliance at hand.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Warning!

Before you clean the appliance it must be switched off and the mains plug must be removed from the wall socket.

Warning!

When cleaning the appliance, do not immerse it in water or hold it under running water.

• To clean the handle, wipe it with a soft cloth that’s been moistened with a few drops of mild detergent. Next,

remove the detergent by wiping with a soft lint-free cloth moistened with lukewarm water. Finally, wipe the cleaned surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care to ensure no moisture enters the appliance. Make sure the hair straighteners are completely dry before using them again.

•Never use solvents (acetone, benzene, petrol etc.) to clean the appliance because these materials could dissolve the plastic cover and damage the internal components. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

•Never remove the cover of the appliance.

•From time to time, remove the hair collected at the air vents using a vacuum cleaner.

•If you do not plan to use the hair dryer for a longer period after cleaning it, put it in a nylon bag and store in a dry place, free from dust and frost.

Uwaga! Nigdy nie należy używać aparatu w wannie, pod prysznice lub ponad napełnioną wodą umywalką, ponieważ można doznać groźnego dla życia porażenia prądem. Należy utrzymywać od nich i podobnych zawierających płyn przedmiotów przynajmniej 1 metrowy dystans bezpieczeństwa, przy używaniu aparatu. Zasadniczo należy unikać używania aparatu w łazience lub takim miejscu, gdzie jest wysoka relatywna zawartość pary w powietrzu. Jeżeli pomimo tego aparat wpadłby do wody, należy natychmiast wyjąć z sieci przyłącze elektryczne. W żadnym wypadku nie wolno sięgać po aparat, który wpadł do wody dopóty, dopóki jest pod napięciem! Jeżeli aparat poprzednio wpadł do wody lub w inny sposób dostała się do niego wilgoć, należy go zanieść do specjalistycznego serwisu i oddać do kontroli specjaliście, przed ponownym użyciem.

•Aby uniknąć ryzyka porażenia prądem, nigdy nie zanurzać urządzenia, kabla elektrycznego ani wtyczki w wodzie, ani innych cieczach.

•Nie dotykać urządzenia mokrymi rękami. Sprawdzić, czy ręce są suche podczas wkładania wtyczki urządzenia do gniazdka, sprawdzić, czy obudowa, kabel, wtyczka oraz gniazdko są również suche. Jeśli do obudowy dostanie się wilgoć nie dotykać urządzenia, ale wyłączyć je poprzez wyjęcie wtyczki z gniazdka i zabrać do autoryzowanego centrum celem naprawy.

•Ten aparat nie jest przeznaczony do używania przez osoby o ograniczonej zdolności fizycznej, percepcyjnej lub umysłowej, które nie posiadają odpowiedniego doświadczenia i znajomości (włącznie z dziećmi), wyjąwszy przypadek, kiedy nadzoruje i informuje ich o użytkowaniu aparatu taka osoba, która jest zarazem odpowiedzialna za ich bezpieczeństwo. W przypadku dzieci nadzór jest wskazany dla zapewnienia, żeby dzieci nie bawiły się aparatem. Dzieci poniżej 14 lat nie mogą używać produktu nawet pod nadzorem!

•Nigdy nie należy przeprowadzać kabla sieciowego poprzez ostre kanty lub ponad względnie pod gorącą powierzchnią. Kabla sieciowego nie należy nigdy owijać wokół oprawy aparatu i pociągać go lub podnosić trzymając za kabel sieciowy, ponieważ kabel może się zerwać lub jego izolacja może zostać uszkodzona. Jeżeli kabel aparatu został uszkodzony, należy go wymienić w wyspecjalizowanym serwisie. Nie wolno podłączać do gniazdka sieciowego aparatu z uszkodzonym kablem.

•Zabroniona jest wszelka modyfikacja oraz przedłużanie przewodu zasilania w urządzeniu!

Jeśli przewód zasilający jest zbyt krótki, należy skorzystać wyłącznie z dostępnych na rynku, standardowych przedłużaczy, wyposażonych w zabezpieczające uziemienie. Znamionowe wartości przedłużacza muszą wynosić co najmniej 16 A (kable o niższych wartościach mogą przegrzewać się podczas użytkowania). Jeśli jeden przedłużacz musi obsługiwać inne urządzenia elektryczne w tym samym czasie, należy zsumować zużycie prądu, aby ustalić wymagania dotyczące jego wartości znamionowej. Przy korzystaniu z przedłużacza gniazdko sieciowe, jak i sam przewód muszą być wyposażone w uziemienia ochronne. Przy rozmieszczaniu kabla przedłużającego, należy zachować szczególną ostrożność, aby uniknąć stworzenia ryzyka potknięcia się o niego.

•Po zakończeniu używania i przed czyszczeniom należy zawsze wyjąć z gniazdka ściennego zasilacz sieciowy aparatu. Nigdy nie należy przerywać dopływu prądu poprzez wyciąganie kabla z gniazdka sieciowego, należy zawsze trzymać wtyczkę!

• Nigdy nie używać żadnego urządzenia ani akcesoriów, niedostarczanych przez producenta ani niezalecanych	PL
do wykorzystania z urządzeniem. Użycie takich urządzeń może prowadzić do wypadków bądź nieregularnej
pracy.

•Należy unikać używania aparatu w takim miejscu, gdzie byłby on wystawiony na zbyt wysoką lub niską temperaturę, rdzewienie lub wibracje. Nie należy używać aparatu w wilgotnym i zaparowanym miejscu. Aparat powinien być eksploatowany i składowany w zakresie temperatur pomiędzy+5 i +40° C.

•Nie należy używać aparatu w obecności wybuchowych lub zapalnych gazów, oparów lub płynów.

•Uważać, aby do wnętrza urządzenia nie dostały się rozpryski aerozolu.

•Dysza suszarki może nagrzewać się podczas użytkowania, dlatego należy unikać jej stykania się ze skórą głowy.
