I am not given to writing messages like this, but a compliment is certainly in order.
Being an insulator collector, out of curiosity, I recently
bought some of your Glass End Insulators just to see
what they would be like. (DXE-TGI-2)
I was blown away at what I saw when I opened the
package. WOW! Those things look like crystal pieces
that really should be on a coffee table in the living
room! Really beautiful with a perfect crystal surface!
I actually felt a little bad about installing them outdoors on my 40 M dipole!
The thing that really blew me away is the way the eye hole had been cleaned and reamed with an abrasive
tool to provide a clean, smooth, place for rope and wire.
I collect old vintage insulators from the 1920's , '30's and 40's and 98% of them have rough or jagged eye
centers and nothing close to the crystal luster of these. Man, THAT is attention to detail and quality.
Hats off to you guys for doing the little things right; that is so rare these days. Very impressive; says a lot
(good) about your company.
Oh...it is neat to see those insulators twinkling a little up there in the morning sunlight.... a little highly
functional nostalgia there.
Who says they don't make 'em like they use to?! Your glass insulators are better than they use to make
them!
