Preliminary operations
Unpack the unit and all accessories. Please keep the packaging for future use when transporting the device.
− Fit the platter and depress the locking mechanism in its centre until it engages in the groove of the platter spindle (Fig. 1). Place the platter mat in position.
− Insert the hinges 2 in the appropriate recesses (Fig. 2)
− Slide the cover 1 parallel to the position of the hinges 2 (opening angle approximately 60°) until it locks in position. In this position, the cover can be removed at any time.
Supply of the mains set
The delivered mains set (Fig. 14) will be connected to the socket 14. The mains set, corresponding to the voltage indication on the nameplate, has to be plugged into a power supply plug either with 230 V / 50 Hz or 115 V / 60 Hz on the primary side.
Connection to amplifier or receiver
– Connect the audio cables (Fig. 12) to the phono-mag-
netic-inputs of the amplifier or receiver 12 (red or black RCA-type plug = right channel, white RCA-type plug = left channel).
– Connect one side of the earth wire (Fig. 13) on the ground
socket on the device 13 and the other end to the amplifier..
Balancing the tonearm and setting the tracking and
antiskating force – for example cartridge OM 10
1. Remove the needle protector
2. Set tracking force 4 to 0 and switch off the antiskating device 10.
3. Turn the counterbalance 3 on the tonearm (Fig. 3). Unlock the tonearm and move it over the tonearm rest. Move the lift lever 5 to the rear. Hold the tonearm whilst doing so.
4. Balance the tonearm precisely by turning the counterbalance. The tonearm is balanced precisely when it pivots freely.
5. Set the required tracking force for the cartridge by turning the dial 4. The tracking force for cartridges OM 10 = 15 mN = dial position 1.5.
Set the appropriate value of the antiskating device 10 on the basis of the following table:
Tracking force Antiskating setting 10
Tracking force scale 4
1 = 10 mN 1,25
1.25 = 12.5 mN 1.25
OM 10 -> 1,5 = 15 mN 1.52 2 = 20 mN 2,25
2.5 = 25 mN 2.52
3 = 30 mN 3,25
Height adjustment of tone arm
The entire tone arm assembly can be adjustet in height by removing the three screws on the bottom of the turntable. Now you can lift the tone arm from the top carefully.

Cartridges with standard half-inch mounting holes and a weight between 3 and 10 grams can be installed
Change of headshell
− Remove the coloured signal leads carefully from the cartridge pins with a pair of tweezers (Fig. 4).
− Loosen the collar-lock 8 behind the head shell. Carefully pull the coloured signal leads out of the head shell (Fig. 4). Install the new head shell in reverse order. Pay attention to the correct colour coding.
R = Red, right channel RG = Green, right channel ground L = White, left channel LG = Blue, left channel ground
Adjusting after change of pick-up cartridge system
For the precise adjustment of the so-called stylus overhang push the supplied mounting gauge into the head shell with cartridge. The adjustment is correct if the stylus flush with the V-shaped recess in the gauge as viewed from above. When viewed from the side the stylus should be seen within the rectangular recess of the gauge (Fig. 6). Adjust the cartridge in the head shell until the correct positions are achieved. Lastly, tighten the mounting srews, put the head shell with cartridge back on the tonearm and tighten the collar-lock 8.
ATTENTION!
During these mounting and adjustment procedures you must be very careful not to damage the delicate stylus and cantilever by uncontrolled and brisk movements.
Stylus
The stylus is subjected to natural wear and tear during playing. We therefore recommend regular checks, which should be carried out after at least 300 playing hours in the case of diamond-tipped styli. Worn out or damaged (chipped) styli damage records. In the event of a replacement being necessary, use original styli. Other styli often cause audible reductions in quality and increased wear to records. Remove the stylus. To fit a new stylus in follow the procedure in reverse order.
Attention: the tonearm cables should not be tensioned or overstreched! Insert as needed one, two or three of the accompanying shims (Fig. 15) congruently over the three holes. Then fix the tone arm back with the three screws.
Manuel start, speed selection 33/45, tone arm lift
With the speed selector 7, the corresponding speeds 33/45 can be set. With this button, the device is also started.
– Remove stylus cover forwards and move lift lever 5 forward. – Now position the tone arm over lead-in groove of the record
and push the lift lever 5 back. The tone arm is now lowered slowly, thus preventing damage to your records.
– The tone arm can be raised at any position, also for brief in-
terruptions when playing. For this, slide the lift lever forward. The platter continues to rotate in this case.
Switch off
When the record is played completely, slide the lift lever forward. The tone arm is raised. Now, run back the tone arm by hand on the arm rest 6 and slide the lift lever 5 to the rear. If the speed selector 7 is turned to „0“, the device is switched off.
Mounting or exchanging a pick-up cartridge system
Change of cartridge system
− Remove the coloured signal leads carefully from the cartridge pins with a pair of tweezers (Fig. 4).
− Unscrew the cartridge.
− Screw the new cartridge onto the had shell but do not tighten. Attach the leads to the pins while observing the correct coding.
