1. APPLY LABELS
a. Using the supplied Automotive Adhesion Promoter pad, thoroughly wipe both rear corners of the carrier tray. See Fig. 1 for
placement reference. Allow promoter to dry completely.
b. Place the reflective labels on both halves of the carrier tray by aligning the reflective end of the label with the placement ridge on
the end of each piece (See Fig. 1) and then wrap the label around the corner. See Fig. 1.
2. ASSEMBLE FRAME
a. Slide the front bracket (See Fig. 2) over the straight end of the support tube with the flanges facing rearward. Place the rear
bracket over the support tube with the flanges facing forward. See Fig. 2. DO NOT bolt together at this time.
b. Install 5/8” bolt and washers as shown in fig. 2. Tighten to 90 ft•lb. with lock nut. Install pull pin through both brackets and tube
in either position for use. Secure with clip. See fig.2a and 2b.
3. ASSEMBLE TRAY
a. Install the 1/4” Phillips head bolts. Insert the bolt through both halves of the carrier tray. See Fig. 3a. Install 1/4” lock nut on the
bolt. Repeat for the other three 1/4” bolts. IMPORTANT:
the tray on the frame.
b. Install a 1/4” flat washer on the 1/4” phillips head bolt. Turn tray over. Insert the bolt through the center holes of the underside of
the carrier halves. Install the other 1/4” flat washer and the 1/4” lock nut on the bolt. See Fig. 3b. Torque the nut to 6 ft•lb.
4. MOUNT TRAY TO FRAME
a. Place the assembled carrier tray over the frame and insert the long 3/8” carriage bolts down through the carrier tray, bracket and
support tube. See Fig. 4. Install 3/8” flat washers and 3/8” lock nuts on the bolts. If you do not have lock nuts in your kit, install
the flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts.
b. Insert the short 3/8” carriage bolts down through the carrier tray and the brackets. Install 3/8” flat washers and 3/8” lock nuts on
the bolts. See Fig. 4. If you do not have lock nuts in your kit, install the flat washers, lock washers, and nuts on the bolts.
c. Tighten all bolts. Torque 1/4” bolts to 6 ft•lb. Torque 3/8” bolts to 24 ft•lb.
5. TILTING CARRIER IN UP POSITION
a. Remove pull pin and clip from forward location. See fig. 2a.
b. Install pull pin in rearward location making sure pin is secure with clip. See fig.2b.
LOADING
Load the Cargo Carrier so that most of the weight is in the center of the platform. Maximum load rating is 500 lb with a 5,000
lb hitch, and 300 lb with a 3,500 lb hitch.
Leave these bolts loose at this time. It will make it easier to position

IMPORTANT NOTE:
the Cargo Carrier. Use the license plate as a template to mark two holes to drill. Diameter of the holes will depend on the screws
you are using, but should not exceed 1/4".
If the Cargo Carrier or cargo blocks the tail lights, you will need to install the optional Cargo Carrier Light Kit, #6504. For this Cargo
Carrier (#7507), you will need to drill 1/4" holes for the light bolts to pass through. Cut out the template below Fig. 2 and follow the
instructions on it. The holes should be drilled just under the lip. See Fig. 4. Note: the light kit contains a license plate bracket, so you
will not need to drill separate holes for the license plate.
If the Cargo Carrier or cargo blocks the license plate, you can mount the license plate directly to the back of
