MIGRATE FROM ENTRÉ™ TO VIRTUAL KEYPAD ACCESS™
Entré Access & Security Management Software and Virtual Keypad Access both
provide eective platforms for managing access control and burglary security
systems. However, Virtual Keypad Access may be better suited for systems that
don’t require the advanced functionality that Entré provides.
If you would like to migrate existing systems from Entré to Virtual Keypad
Access, follow the step-by-step processes outlined in this guide. The following
that same system cleanly from Entré.
ADD THE SYSTEM TO DEALER ADMIN
After adding a system to Dealer Admin and configuring access features, you can provide users with all of the additional remote operation capabilities available through Virtual Keypad Access.
To add a system in Dealer Admin, complete the following steps.

Create the Customer
1. Log in to Dealer Admin.
2. In the menu, select Customers.
3. Press the Add icon .
4. Enter the customer’s name and email.
5. Configure additional options as needed.
6. Press Save.

Set Up the System
1. Find the customer and select their name.
2. The customer’s summary page opens. In Systems, press the Add icon .
3. Enter the system name, then select a System Type.
4. Select a Connection Type. Enter the following information according to the
connection type:
a. Cellular—Enter a SIM number, then press Get Status. Press Activate. b. EASYconnect—In Serial Number, enter the panel serial number. c. EASYconnect + Cell Backup—In Serial Number, enter the panel serial number.
Enter a SIM number for the cellular module.
d. Network—In Network Address, enter the panel network’s public IP address or
DDNS hostname.
5. Enter the system’s receiver number, followed by the Account Number.
6. Enter the panel Remote Key. The remote key must match the one programmed in panel REMOTE OPTIONS.
7. Configure additional options as needed.
8. To confirm proper communication, press Test Connection.
9. A dialog pops up to ask if you want to perform the initial connection to the panel. Press Yes.
10. Press Save.

Configure Virtual Keypad Access Features
1. In Virtual Keypad (App & Website), select Virtual Keypad Access.
2. In Additional Features, select any features that you want to activate.
3. If necessary, add tracked outputs, sensors, and doors.
4. In Door Control, select add. Choose the doors that you want to include, then press OK.
5. If Advanced Reports is enabled, select the Door Access Events that you want to receive reports for.
6. In Video, choose any options that you want to include.
7. Review the total monthly charges for the system at the bottom of the page, then press Save.

Add an App User
1. Find the customer and select their name.
2. The Customer Summary page opens. In App Users, press the Add icon .
3. Enter the new app user’s email address and name.
4. Set the user’s authority level to either Administrator to manage multiple panels or Standard to manage a single panel.
5. If you don’t want to generate a random password for the user, clear Create Random Password and manually enter a password for the user.
6. If you want to email the user video clips, select Email Video Clips.
7. Select the systems and permissions that you want your user to have authority to access.
8. Press Save.

NEXT STEPS...
Once you have successfully added the system to Dealer Admin, you have two options:
USE ENTRÉ & VIRTUAL KEYPAD ACCESS
Continue to use Entré to manage users and use Virtual Keypad Access to manage arming and door control. These settings are configured in Profiles. If you choose this option, do not complete the next section. You’re now ready to use Virtual Keypad Access.
USE ONLY VIRTUAL KEYPAD ACCESS
You can disable the panel in Entré and only use Virtual Keypad Access to manage the entire system. If you choose this option, continue to “Remove the Panel from Entré”.

REMOVE THE PANEL FROM ENTRÉ
If you choose to use Virtual Keypad Access to manage the entire system, you must clear profiles and disassociate all of the panel’s programming before disabling it. This process breaks the panel’s ties to other devices and allows it to be cleanly separated from other panels in the Entré database.

Enable Deletion and Stop the Panel
1. Go to Configuration > System Configuration and open the Miscellaneous tab.
2. Enable Allow deletion of items that normally may only be disabled.
3. Enable Allow deletion of devices with events.
4. Right-click the panel and select Panel Control > Stop.

Disassociate Programming
Before deleting a system’s components or a panel, you must disassociate panel programming. If programming is not disassociated, a warning dialog will pop up when you attempt deletion.
1. Right-click the panel and select Edit.
2. Select Clear next to each field that contains programming in the following sections:
a. System Reports b. Display Keypads c. Status List

Acknowledge and Clear Alarms
Go to Configuration > Hardware Tree > Monitoring > Alarms. Press Ack All, then press Clear All.
If an active event is tied to a zone, you cannot delete that zone until the event is resolved, acknowledged, and cleared.
Delete Components and the Panel
1. In an area, right-click the following components and select Delete. Components must be deleted in this order:
a. Zones b. Outputs c. Devices
2. Right-click the area and select Delete.
3. Repeat these steps for each area and its components.
4. After each of the panel’s areas are deleted, you may delete the panel from Entré. Right-click the panel and select Delete.
