The Princess and the Frog

Tiana has acquired a rundown sugar mill in hopes of turning it into a four-star
restaurant. She needs to restore the sugar mill and decorate her new place of
business to make her dream come true.

Play through the game to earn improvements for the restaurant. You’ll find
ingredients to create recipes, songs for the band, and outfits to wear at the gala
grand opening!

Gameplay

Controls

Use the Wii Remote for all commands in Disney The Princess and the Frog. To
pick up items, just walk over them. To speak to a character, walk up to the
character and press the A Button.

Join Up & Play!

Disney The Princess and the Frog is all about cooperative play. Team up with
your friends and family to play minigames that help Tiana fulfill her dream of
owning her own deluxe restaurant. There will always be four players in the
minigames, either human or AI players. You can select from Normal or Hard
difficulty when creating a profile or through the Options menu.

Player 1 is always Tiana, but the other three players can choose to play as any of
the other characters. When players 2-4 turn on their Wii Remotes, a blank circle
will appear on screen. Press the + Button to join in and select a character using
the +Control Pad. Press the A Button to confirm your character.

Players 2-4 can join Disney The Princess and the Frog at any time except when
a minigame is in progress. Just turn on a Wii Remote for each new player and
they can join in! Players 2-4 can explore the environments and play along with
Tiana.

Earn Rewards

As you play minigames, you’ll earn beads that can be used to purchase clothing.
You’ll get to collect and combine purchased items to create even better stuff!

Explore & Collect

Disney The Princess and the Frog can be explored freely. Talk to the characters
and explore the locations at your own pace. You’ll even find things to collect as
you explore!
Watch the screen for animated objects to learn which ones can be interacted

with. You’ll need to collect items in each of the locations to fully create Tiana’s

dream restaurant.

Hubs

Restaurant

The restaurant is the Main Hub of the game. From the restaurant, you can
access all the activities and move to the Mini Hubs. As you play the game and
collect beads, the restaurant will slowly upgrade to fulfill Tiana’s dream.
To move from the restaurant to Mini Hubs, speak to the characters in the
restaurant.

Talk to chef Buford to go to Duke’s Café!
Talk to the frog hunter Darnell to go to the Frog Hunter Fen!
Talk to Big Daddy to go to the Masquerade Party!
Talk to the King and Queen to go to Mardi Gras!
Talk to Mama Odie to go to Mama Odie’s House!

Hint: If you have a cheat code for a hub, make sure to enter the code within 2
seconds. The cheat code will work once per profile. A “Code Accepted” screen
will pop up if you are successful. If you have a Mardi Gras bead cheat code, it
can be used in any of the hubs.

Minigames

You’ll find minigames in each hub. You can go back and replay minigames at any

time once they’ve been unlocked. Just select the correct hub to replay the

minigame. Minigames can be played at Normal or Hard difficulty. Before each

minigame, there is a tutorial. If you have the “Riverboat Jazz Edition,” press the

– Button to bring up the Menu and Extras section where you’ll find a bonus
minigame.

Beignet Big Feed

In Duke’s Cafe, hungry patrons can’t wait for hot beignets as they come out of
the kitchen. Toss a beignet at each diner’s plate for points.

To toss a beignet, point your Wii Remote at a customer’s plate. Press the A
Button to lock onto the plates and flick the Wii Remote to toss the beignet. Keep

those plates filled with beignet tosses for high points!

Hidden Leaf

In the Frog Hunter Fen, the fireflies need to locate special heart-shaped leaves.
When you see a heart-shaped leaf, point at it with your Wii Remote and press
the A Button to light the leaf.

If the leaf is heart-shaped, it’ll glow in your player’s color; otherwise, the leaf will
burn away. Play several rounds of the game to see which player can find the
most heart-shaped leaves. In every round, there’s a glowing bonus leaf. Quickly
light this leaf for extra points!
