Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Anleitung kann
zu schweren Verletzungen oder Schäden
am Gerät führen.
Für Schäden, die aufgrund der Nichtbeachtung dieser Bedienungsanleitung entstehen,
übernehmen wir keine Haftung.
Das Gerät darf nur im Haushalt eingesetzt
werden. Es ist für eine gewerbliche Nutzung
nicht geeignet.

1.3 zur Stromversorgung
Das Gerät wird mit elektrischem Strom
aufgeladen und betrieben, dabei besteht
grundsätzlich die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlags. Achten Sie daher besonders auf Folgendes:
- Fassen Sie den Stecker niemals mit
nassen Händen an.
- Wenn Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose herausziehen wollen, ziehen Sie immer direkt am Stecker. Niemals am Kabel, es könnte reißen.

- Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten und halten Sie es vor Regen und Nässe fern.
- Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur, wenn die
auf dem Typenschlid an der Unterseite
des Gerätes angegebene elektrische
Spannung mit der Spannung Ihrer
Steckdose übereinstimmt. Eine falsche
Spannung kann das Gerät zerstören.
1.4 zu Kindern
Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht unbeaufsich-
tigt und verwenden Sie es mit größter Vorsicht, wenn Kinder oder Personen, die die Gefahren nicht einschätzen können, in der Nähe
sind.

1.5 zur bestimmungsgemäßen
Verwendung
Der Handstaubsauger ist ausschließlich für
das Reinigen von normalverschmutzten Böden, Teppichen und Polstern zu verwenden.
Jede weitere Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und ist untersagt. Insbe-
sondere die im Folgenden aufgeführten
Tätigkeiten dürfen auf keinen Fall mit dem
Handstaubsauger ausgeführt werden:
Das Saugen von:
- glühender Asche, brennenden Zigaretten oder Streichhölzern. Es kann zum
Brand kommen.
- spitzen Gegenständen, wie Glassplittern, Nägeln, etc. Diese Gegenstände
zerstören die Filter.
- Wasser und anderen Flüssigkeiten, insbesondere feuchten Teppich-Reinigungsmitteln. Feuchtigkeit im Inneren
kann zum Kurzschluss führen.
- Toner (für Laserdrucker, Kopierer, etc.).
Es besteht Brand und Explosionsgefahr.
- Gips, Zement, etc. Das Gerät kann verstopfen.
- Kleidungsstücken (z.B. Schuhbänder,
Schals, etc.). Sie könnten eingezogen
werden und schwere Verletzungen hervorrufen.
- Haaren, Fingern und anderen Körperteilen. Sie könnten eingezogen werden
und schwere Verletzungen hervorrufen.
Die Verwendung in der Nähe von explosi-
ven oder leicht entzündlichen Stoffen. Es besteht Brand oder Explosionsgefahr.
Die Verwendung im Freien. Es besteht die
Gefahr, dass Regen und Schmutz das Gerät
zerstören.
Das Hineinstecken von Gegenständen in
die Öffnungen des Gerätes. Es könnte überhitzen.
1.6 falls das Gerät defekt ist
Betreiben Sie niemals ein defektes Gerät,
oder ein Gerät mit einem defekten Kabel. Es
besteht erhebliches Verletzungsrisiko.
Geben Sie ein defektes Gerät zur Repara-
tur an einen Fachhändler oder den Royal
Appliance Kundendienst.

2.1 Auspacken
Packen Sie das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile
aus und überprüfen Sie den Inhalt auf Vollständigkeit.
ACHTUNG:
Transportieren/versenden Sie das Gerät
grundsätzlich immer in der Originalverpackung, damit es keinen Schaden nimmt.
Heben Sie dazu die Verpackung auf.
Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial entsprechend den in Ihrem
Land geltenden Vorschriften.
HINWEIS:
Sollten Sie einen Transportschaden bemerken, wenden Sie sich umgehend an Ihren
Händler.
2.2 Montieren
Ihr Handstaubsauger ist ohne weitere Montage sofort einsatzbereit.
3 Bedienung
3.1 Staubsaugen.
WARNUNG:
Prüfen Sie den Handstaubsauger und das
Stromkabel vor jeder Benutzung. Ein
beschädigtes Gerät darf nicht verwendet
werden. Es besteht ein Verletzungsrisiko.
ACHTUNG:
Verwenden Sie den Handstaubsauger nur,
wenn der Staubbeutel ordnungsgemäß eingesetzt ist und sichergestellt ist, dass keine
Öffnungen verstopft sind. Der Staubbeutel
darf keine Beschädigungen aufweisen und
muss trocken sein. Bei Nichtbeachtung
kann der Handstaubsauger beschädigt werden.
1. Stecken Sie den Stecker (Abb. 1/8) in die
Steckdose.
2. Halten Sie den Handstaubsauger am
Handgriff (Abb. 1/3) fest.
3. Schalten Sie den Handstaubsauger am
Ein-/Ausschalter (Abb. 1/4) ein.
ACHTUNG:
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Luftaustrittsöffnungen (Abb. 1/7) frei sind. Die Saugwirkung lässt sonst nach.
4. Führen Sie den Handstaubsauger über
die zu reinigenden Oberflächen.
ACHTUNG:
Der Handstaubsauger besitzt einen Düsenschutz aus Metall. Daher eignet er sich nicht
zum Reinigen von empfindlichen Oberflächen. Diese könnten verkratzen.
3.2 Abschalten
1. Schalten Sie den Handstaubsauger am
Ein-/Ausschalter (Abb. 1/4) aus und ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
2. Wickeln Sie das Kabel auf, damit es nicht
zur Stolperfalle wird.
WARNUNG:
Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, sobald Sie den
Arbeitsplatz verlassen. So vermeiden Sie
Unfälle.
3.3 Aufbewahren
Verstauen Sie das Gerät an einem für Kin-
der unzugänglichen Ort.
ACHTUNG:
Stellen Sie das Gerät nie direkt neben Wärmequellen ab (z.B. Heizung, Ofen). Vermeiden Sie direkte Sonneneinstrahlung. Die
Hitze kann das Gerät beschädigen.
Wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit lagern
möchten, setzen Sie einen leeren Staubbeutel ein. Bewahren Sie das Gerät in einem kühlen, trockenen Raum auf.

3.4 Staubbeutel wechseln
Wechseln Sie den Staubbeutel spätes-
tens dann, wenn dieser Staubbeutel voll ist,
oder die Saugwirkung nachlässt.
WARNUNG:
Bevor Sie den Staubbeutel wechseln, schalten Sie das Gerät aus und ziehen Sie den
Stecker. So verhindern Sie, dass das Gerät
unerwartet anläuft.
1. Öffnen Sie den Reißverschluss
(Abb. 1/2).
HINWEIS:
Gehen Sie beim Entnehmen des Staubbeutels vorsichtig und langsam vor, damit kein
Staub aus dem Staubbeutel herausgedrückt
wird.
2. Ziehen Sie den Staubbeutel (Abb. 3/1)
nach hinten heraus. Halten Sie die Öffnung nach oben, damit kein Staub austritt.
3. Entfernen Sie Staub, der sich eventuell im
Stoffbeutel befindet.
HINWEIS:
Den Staubbeutel können Sie im normalen
Hausmüll entsorgen, wenn er keinen für den
Hausmüll verbotenen Schmutz enthält.
4. Schieben Sie den neuen Staubbeutel auf
den Stutzen (Abb. 3/2) auf. Achten Sie
darauf, dass der Staubbeutel bis zum Anschlag aufgeschoben ist (Abb. 4).
5. Schließen Sie den Reißverschluss.
4 Zubehör (optional)
Mit dem optionalem Zubehör-Set (Abb. 2)
lässt sich der Handstaubsauger vielseitig verwenden. Bestellnummer ZKapitel 8,
„Ersatzteile“.
4.1 Montieren des Saugschlauchs
WARNUNG:
Schalten Sie den Handstaubsauger aus und
ziehen Sie den Stecker, bevor Sie das
Zubehör montieren oder abnehmen. So vermeiden Sie Unfälle.
Den Saugschlauch können Sie in zwei Varianten montieren.
A. Montage direkt an der Verschlusskappe
(höhere Saugleistung)
Montieren:
1. Öffnen Sie die Verschlusskappe
(Abb. 5/2), indem Sie sie mit einem
Schraubendreher aufhebeln (Abb. 5/1).
Nehmen Sie den Riemen (Abb. 8/1) mit
dem Zeigefinger oder dem Riemenheber
(Abb. 2/4, optional) von der Welle
(Abb. 8/2) ab.
2. Stecken Sie den Saugschlauch (Abb. 5/3)
bis zum Anschlag in die Öffnung. Er rastet
hörbar ein.
Abnehmen:
1. Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstaste
(Abb. 5/4) ein und ziehen Sie den Saugschlauch ab.
2. Heben Sie den Riemen mit dem Zeigefin-
ger oder dem Riemenheber (Abb. 2/4, optional) auf die Welle. Damit die Welle richtig herum dreht, muss der Riemen wie in
(Abb. 10) gezeigt verlaufen.
HINWEIS:
Bei falscher Montage springt der Riemen
automatisch von der Welle. Setzen Sie Ihn
in diesem Fall anders herum auf die Welle.
3. Schließen Sie die Verschlusskappe
(Abb. 1/5).

Montieren:
1. Setzen Sie den Düsenadapter (Abb. 6/1)
mit dem hinteren Teil (Abb. 6/2) in den Düsenschutz ein und klappen Sie ihn nach
vorne. Er rastet ein.
2. Stecken Sie den Saugschlauch (Abb. 6/3)
bis zum Anschlag in die Öffnung. Er rastet
hörbar ein.
Abnehmen:
1. Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstaste
(Abb. 6/4) und ziehen Sie den Schlauch
ab.
2. Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstaste
(Abb. 6/5) des Düsenadapters und nehmen Sie den Düsenadapter ab.
4.2 Weitere Düsen (optionales
Zubehör) verwenden
Die im Zubehör-Set enthaltenen Düsen können Sie am Saugschlauch (Abb. 2/1) aufstecken und beliebig kombinieren.
WARNUNG:
Schalten Sie den Handstaubsauger aus,
bevor Sie das Zubehör montieren oder
abnehmen.
Verwenden Sie das optionale Zubehör
wie folgt:
- Steckrohr (Abb. 2/2)
Benutzen Sie dieses zum Verlängern
des Saugschlauchs.
- Fugendüse (Abb. 2/3)
Benutzen Sie diese, um Staub aus
schwer zugänglichen Stellen zu saugen.
- Möbelbürste (Abb. 2/6)
Benutzen Sie diese, um Staub von Gegenständen zu saugen, die empfindliche Oberflächen haben (z.B. Schränke,
Tische).
5 Fehlerbehebung
Bevor Sie das Gerät an den Royal£ Appliance
Kundendienst einschicken, überprüfen Sie
anhand der folgenden Tabelle, ob Sie den
Fehler selbst beseitigen können.
WARNUNG:
Bevor Sie sich auf Fehlersuche begeben,
schalten Sie das Gerät aus. Verwenden Sie
niemals ein defektes Gerät.

6.1 Reinigung
WARNUNG:
Bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen, schalten Sie
es aus.
Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse ausschließlich
mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine Reinigungsmittel, Scheuermittel oder Alkohol, da diese das Gehäuse beschädigen können.
6.2 Bürstenwalze und Riemen
austauschen
Bei intensivem Gebrauch oder beim häufi-
gem Reinigen von sehr hohem Teppichfloor
(die Bürstenwalze kann blockieren), kann es
vorkommen, dass der Riemen abgenutzt wird
und die Bürstenwalze nicht mehr mit ausreichender Kraft antreiben kann. Weiterhin können die Borsten der Bürstenwalze mit der Zeit
immer kürzer werden. Daher können Sie diese Teile nachbestellen und ggf. selbst austauschen.
WARNUNG:
Bevor Sie mit der Arbeit beginnen, schalten
Sie das Gerät aus und ziehen Sie den Stecker. Es besteht Verletzungsgefahr durch
drehende Teile.
1. Drehen Sie die beiden Schrauben
(Abb. 7/1) mit einem Kreuzschlitz-Schraubendreher ganz heraus und nehmen Sie
den Düsenschutz (Abb. 7/2) ab.
2. Öffnen Sie die Verschlusskappe
(Abb. 5/2), indem Sie sie mit einem
Schraubendreher aufhebeln (Abb. 5/1).
Nehmen Sie den Riemen (Abb. 8/1) mit
dem Zeigefinger oder dem Riemenheber
(Abb. 2/4, optional) von der Welle
(Abb. 8/2) ab.
3. Sie können nun Bürstenwalze und Rie-
men herausnehmen und gegebenenfalls
austauschen.
4. Setzen Sie Bürstenwalze (Abb. 9/1) und
Riemen (Abb. 9/2) wieder ein. Achten Sie
dabei darauf, dass der Pfeil auf der Bürstenwalze (Abb. 9/3) entsprechend dem
Pfeil auf dem Düsenschutz (Abb. 9/4)
nach links zeigt.
5. Setzen Sie den Düsenschutz (Abb. 9/5)
auf und schrauben Sie ihn fest.
6. Heben Sie nun den Riemen mit dem Zei-
gefinger oder dem Riemenheber
(Abb. 2/4, optional) auf die Welle. Damit
die Welle richtig herum dreht, muss der
Riemen wie in (Abb. 10) gezeigt verlaufen.
HINWEIS:
Bei falscher Montage fliegt der Riemen
automatisch von der Welle. Setzen Sie Ihn
in diesem Fall anders herum auf die Welle.
7. Schließen Sie die Verschlusskappe
(Abb. 1/5).
7 Entsorgung
Wenn das Gebrauchsende erreicht
ist, insbesondere, wenn Funktions-
störungen auftreten, machen Sie
das ausgediente Gerät unbrauchbar, indem
Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen und das Stromkabel durchtrennen. Entsorgen Sie das Gerät entsprechend der in Ihrem Land geltenden Umweltvorschriften.
Elektrische Abfälle dürfen nicht zusammen
mit Haushaltsabfällen entsorgt werden. Wenden Sie sich für Ratschläge bezüglich des Recyclings an Ihre Kommunalbehörde oder Ihren Händler.

Wir übernehmen für das von uns vertriebene Gerät eine Garantie von 24 Monaten
ab Kaufdatum.
Innerhalb dieser Garantiezeit beseitigen wir
nach unserer Wahl durch Reparatur oder
Austausch des Gerätes oder des Zubehörs
(Schäden an Zubehörteilen führen nicht automatisch zum Umtausch des kompletten Gerätes) unentgeltlich alle Mängel, die auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern beruhen. Von der
Garantie sind Schäden ausgenommen, die
auf unsachgemäßen Gebrauch (Betrieb mit
falscher Stromart/-spannung, Anschluss an
ungeeignete Stromquellen, Bruch, etc.) zurückzuführen sind, normaler Verschleiß und
Mängel, die den Wert oder die Gebrauchstauglichkeit des Gerätes nur unerheblich beeinflussen.
Bei Eingriffen durch eine nicht von uns autorisierte Stelle oder bei Verwendung anderer als
original Royal
die Garantie. Verschleißteile fallen nicht unter
die Garantie und sind deshalb kostenpflichtig!
Die Garantie tritt nur in Kraft, wenn das Kaufdatum durch Stempel und Unterschrift des
Händlers auf der Garantiekarte bestätigt ist
oder eine Rechnungskopie dem eingeschickten Gerät beiliegt. Garantieleistungen bewirken weder eine Verlängerung der Garantiezeit, noch beginnt dadurch ein Anspruch auf
eine neue Garantie!
Versenden Sie das Gerät mit leerem Staubbeutel und einer kurzen Fehlerbeschreibung

1 Safety instructions
1.1 Regarding the operating
manual
Read this operating manual through
completely before working with the appliance.
Keep the operating manual safe. If you pass
the appliance on to a third party, give them the
operating manual as well.
Non-compliance with these instructions
can lead to serious injuries or damage to
the appliance.
We assume no liability for damage that occurs
as a result of non-compliance with this
operating manual.
The appliance may only be operated in
households. It is not suitable for industrial or
commercial use.
1.2 Regarding the symbols used
Important notes for your safety are especially
marked. You must observe these instructions
to avoid accidents and damage to the
appliance:

Warns against hazards for your health and
indicates possible risks of injury.
ATTENTION:
Indicates possible hazards for the appliance
or other objects.
NOTE:
Highlights tips and information for you.
1.3 Regarding the power supply
The appliance is charged and operated
with electrical power which means there is in
principle a risk of electric shock. Pay particular
attention to the following:
-Never touch the plug with wet hands.
-If you want to pull the plug out of the
socket then always pull directly on the
plug. Never pull on the cable as it could
break.
-Make sure that the power cable is not
bent, caught or run over, and that it does
not come into contact with heat sources.

Regarding children
-Only use an extension cable that is
designed for the power requirement of
the appliance.
-Never immerse the appliance in water or
other fluids and keep it away from rain
and moisture.
-Only operate the appliance if the
electrical voltage stated on the type
plate beneath the appliance matches
the voltage on your socket. Wrong
voltage can destroy the appliance.
1.4 Regarding children
Never leave the appliance unattended,
and use it with the greatest of care if children
or persons who cannot assess the risks are
nearby.
Children or persons who cannot assess
the risks may not use the appliance. Store it
so it is inaccessible.
Packing material must not be used to play
with. There is a danger of suffocation.
1.5 Regarding intended use
The hand-held vacuum cleaner must only be
used for cleaning normally dirty floors, carpets
and curtains. Any other use is considered
non-intended use and is prohibited. In
particular, the activities listed in the
following may under no circumstances be
carried out with the hand-held vacuum
cleaner:
Do not vacuum:
-hot ash, burning cigarettes or matches.
These can cause fire.
-pointed objects such as, glass fragments,
nails, etc. These objects destroy the
filter.
-water and other fluids, especially damp
carpet cleaning agents. Internal
dampness can lead to a short-circuit.
-toner (for laser printers, copy machines,
etc.). There is a risk of fire and
explosion.
-plaster, cement, etc. The appliance can
become blocked.
-pieces of clothing (e.g. shoelaces,
scarves, etc.). They could be pulled right
in and cause severe injuries.
-hair, fingers and other body parts. They
could be pulled right in and cause
severe injuries.
Do not use near explosive or easily
flammable substances. There is a risk of fire
or explosion.
Do not use in the open-air. There is a risk
of the appliance being destroyed by rain and
dirt.
Do not push objects into the openings of
the appliance. It could overheat.
1.6 If the appliance is defective
Never operate a defective appliance or an
appliance with a defective cable. There is a
considerable risk of injury.
Bring or send defective appliances to a
specialist dealer or to Royal
Customer Services for repair.

2.1 Unpacking
Unpack the appliance and all accessory parts
and check that the contents are complete.
ATTENTION:
Always transport/send the appliance in its
original packaging so that it does not
become damaged. Keep the packing
material for this purpose.
Dispose of any packing material that is no
longer required in accordance with the
provisions applicable in your country.
NOTE:
If you should notice damage due to
transport, then contact your dealer
immediately.
2.2 Assembly
Your hand-held vacuum cleaner is
immediately ready for operation without any
further assembly.
3 Operating
3.1 Vacuuming.
WARNING:
Check the hand-held vacuum cleaner and
the power cable before each use. A
damaged appliance must never be used.
There is a risk of injury.
ATTENTION:
Only use the hand-held vacuum cleaner if
the dust bag is correctly in place and once
you have ensured that no openings are
blocked. The dust bag must not be
damaged and must be dry. Non-compliance
can damage the hand-held vacuum cleaner.
1. Insert the plug (Fig. 1/8) into the plug
socket.
2. Hold the hand-held vacuum cleaner firmly
by the handle (Fig. 1/3).
3. Switch on the hand-held vacuum cleaner
using the on/off switch (Fig. 1/4).
ATTENTION:
Make sure that the air outlet openings
(Fig. 1/7) are free. Otherwise the suction
power will decrease.
4. Guide the hand-held vacuum cleaner over
the surfaces that need to be cleaned.
ATTENTION:
The hand-held vacuum cleaner has a
nozzle protection made from metal. For this
reason, it is not suitable for cleaning
sensitive surfaces. They could get
scratched.
3.2 Switching off
1. Switch off the hand-held vacuum cleaner
using the on/off switch (Fig. 1/4) and pull
the plug out of the socket.
2. Wind up the cable so that no one can trip
over it.
WARNING:
Switch the appliance off as soon as you
leave the work area. This will help avoid
accidents.
3.3 Storage
Store the appliance in a place
inaccessible to children.
ATTENTION:
Never position the appliance directly against
heat sources (e.g. heating, oven). Avoid
direct sunlight. Heat can damage the
appliance.

If you want to store the appliance for a
longer period of time, insert an empty dust
bag. Store the appliance in a cool, dry room.

4 Accessories (optional)

3.4 Changing the dust bag
Change the dust bag at the latest when
this dust bag is full or when it is losing suction
power.
WARNING:
Before you change the dust bag switch off
the appliance and pull out the plug. This will
prevent the appliance from starting
unexpectedly.
1. Open the zip closure (Fig. 1/2).
NOTE:
Be careful and work slowly when removing
the dust bag so that no dust is squeezed out
of the dust bag.
2. Pull the dust bag (Fig. 3/1) out of the
back. Hold the opening facing up so that
no dust falls out.
3. Remove any dust found in the dust bag.
NOTE:
You can dispose of the dust bag with the
normal domestic waste as long as it does
not contain any dirt not permitted for
domestic waste.
4. Push the new dust bag onto the
connection piece (Fig. 3/2). Make sure
that the dust bag is pushed on up to the
stop point (Fig. 4).
5. Close the zip closure.
4 Accessories (optional)
The optional accessories set (Fig. 2) means
the hand-held vacuum cleaner can be used in
many different ways. Order number Zchapter
8, „Spare parts“.
4.1 Assembling the suction hose
WARNING:
Switch off the hand-held vacuum cleaner
and pull out the plug before assembling or
removing the accessory. This will help avoid
accidents.
You can assemble the suction hose in two
variants.
A. Assemble direction onto the cap
(higher suction performance)
Assembly:
1. Open the sealing cap (Fig. 5/2) by lifting it
with a screw driver (Fig. 5/1). Remove the
belt (Fig. 8/1) with your forefinger or the
belt lifter (Fig. 2/4, optional) from the shaft
(Fig. 8/2).
2. Insert the suction hose (Fig. 5/3) into the
opening up to the stop point. It clicks
audibly into place.
Removing:
1. Press the release button (Fig. 5/4) and
remove the suction hose.
2. Lift the belt with your forefinger or the belt
lifter (Fig. 2/4, optional) onto the shaft. The
belt must run as shown in (Fig. 10) for the
shaft to turn the correct way.
NOTE:
If assembled incorrectly, the belt will
automatically jump off the shaft. If this
happens, put it on the shaft the other way
round.
3. Close the cap (Fig. 1/5).

5 Correcting malfunctions

B. Assembling the nozzle adapter
(less suction performance)
Assembly:
1. Insert the nozzle adapter (Fig. 6/1) with
the rear section (Fig. 6/2) into the nozzle
protection part and flip it forwards. It clicks
into place.
2. Insert the suction hose (Fig. 6/3) into the
opening up to the stop point. It clicks
audibly into place.
Removing:
1. Press the release button (Fig. 6/4) and
remove the hose.
2. Press the release button (Fig. 6/5) on the
nozzle adapter and remove the nozzle
adapter.
4.2 Using other nozzles (optional
accessories)
You can put the nozzles that are included in
the accessories set onto the suction hose
(Fig. 2/1) and combine them how ever you
like.
WARNING:
Switch the hand-held vacuum cleaner off
before assembling or removing the
accessories.
Use the optional accessories as follows:
-Insert tube (Fig. 2/2)
Use this to extend the suction hose.
-Crevice nozzle (Fig. 2/3)
Use this to vacuum dust from hard to
reach places.
-Furniture brush (Fig. 2/6)
Use this to vacuum dust off objects that
have sensitive surfaces (e.g.
cupboards, doors).
5 Correcting malfunctions
Before sending the appliance to Royal
Appliance Customer Services, use the
following table to check whether you can
correct the malfunctions yourself.
WARNING:
Switch off the appliance before
troubleshooting. Never use a defective
appliance.

6.1 Cleaning
WARNING:
Switch off the appliance before cleaning it.
Only clean the housing with a slightly
damp cloth. Do not use any cleaning agent,
scouring agent or alcohol as these can
damage the housing.
6.2 Replacing brushing roller and
belt
With intensive use or if you frequently
clean very hard carpet floors (the brushing
roller can block), it can happen that the belt
becomes worn and the brushing roller is no
longer driven with sufficient force.
Furthermore, the bristles of the brushing roller
can become shorter over time. For this
reason, you can order these parts and if
necessary replace them yourself.
WARNING:
Before you begin with the work, switch off
the appliance and unplug the plug. There is
a risk of injury from rotating parts.
1. Unscrew both screws (Fig. 7/1)
completely using a Philips hand
screwdriver and remove the nozzle
protection (Fig. 7/2).
2. Open the cap (Fig. 5/2) by lifting it with a
screw driver (Fig. 5/1). Remove the belt
(Fig. 8/1) with your forefinger or the belt
lifter (Fig. 2/4, optional) from the shaft
(Fig. 8/2).
3. You can now remove the brushing roller
and belt and if necessary replace them.
4. Reinsert the brushing roller (Fig. 9/1) and
belt (Fig. 9/2). Make sure when doing this
that the arrow on the brushing roller
(Fig. 9/3) is pointing to the left
corresponding to the arrow of the nozzle
protection part (Fig. 9/4).
5. Replace the nozzle protection (Fig. 9/5)
and screw it down.
6. Now lift the belt with your forefinger or the
belt lifter (Fig. 2/4, optional) onto the shaft.
The belt must run as shown in (Fig. 10) for
the shaft to turn the correct way.
NOTE:
If assembled incorrectly, the belt will
automatically fly off the shaft. If this
happens, put it on the shaft the other way
round.
7. Close the cap (Fig. 1/5).
7 Waste disposal
When the service life of the
appliance has expired, in particular if
finished appliance unusable by removing the
mains plug from the socket and disconnecting
the power cable. Dispose of the appliance
according to the environmental provisions
applicable in your country. Electrical waste
must not be disposed of with domestic waste.
Contact your municipal authority or your
dealer for any advice regarding recycling.

9Warranty
We offer a warranty of 24 months from the
date of purchase for the appliances we
sell.
Within this warranty period, we will remove all
defects free of charge that are due to material
or manufacturng faults, either by repair work
or replacing the appliance or accessories, at
our discretion (damage to accessory parts
does not automatically lead to the entire
appliance being replaced). The warranty does
not cover damage due to improper use
(operating with the wrong power type/voltage,
connecting to unsuitable power sources,
breakage, etc.) normal wear and defects that
only insignificantly affect the value or the
ability of the appliance to be used.
The warranty is made null and void if any work
is carried out by a site not authorized by us or
if spare parts other than Royal
spare parts are used. Wear parts are not
included in the warranty and are therefore at
the customer's expense!
The warranty only comes into force if the
purchase date is confirmed by a stamp and
signature of the dealer on the warranty card or
if a copy of the invoice is included with the
appliance when it is sent in. Any warranty
work does not extend the warranty time nor
does it constitute a claim for a new warranty!
Send the appliance with emptied dust bag and
a short description of the fault in block
capitals. Write the comment "Regarding
warranty" on the address label. Send it
together with the warranty card or a copy of
the invoice to the following address:
