• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Not intended for use by children age 12 and under. Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children. To avoid injury or damage, keep children away from product, and do not allow children to place fingers or other objects into any openings.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
• Do not use charger with damaged cord or plug. If appliance or charger is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service center prior to continuing use.
• Do not pull or carry charger by cord, use cord as handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not place product on cord. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug charger by pulling on cord. To unplug charger, grasp the charger, not the cord.
• Do not handle charger, including charger plug, and charger terminals with wet hands.
• Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture, as it may result in injury or damage.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• Turn power switch off before removing or installing powered nozzle.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not use without filters and/or dirt cup in place.
• WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm.
• Do not incinerate the charger, battery, or appliance even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.
• This product includes rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Do not expose batteries to high temperatures, as they may catch fire and/or explode.
• Do not expose battery to crushing, incineration or similar actions.
• Do not dispose of battery in a fire or trash compactor. See battery disposal section for directions.
• Do not attempt to disassemble battery.
• Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.
• Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If any liquid gets on the skin wash quickly with soap and water. If any liquid gets into the eyes, immediately flush them with clean water continuously for a minimum of 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.
• Use only the charger supplied by Royal Appliance to recharge.
• Do not attempt to short circuit the battery or charger terminals.
• The charger is for indoor use only. Be sure to always keep the battery and charger in a dry place.

chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above manufacturer’s maximum temperature limit (60°C/140°F), or incinerate. Dispose of battery promptly. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in fire. Do not attempt to disassemble the battery or remove any component projecting from the battery terminals. The battery and charger have no user serviceable parts. Fire or injury may result. Prior to disposal, protect exposed terminals with heavy insulating tape to prevent shorting.
LITHIUMION BATTERIES
The battery must be collected, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. The EPA certified RBRC Battery Recycling Seal on the lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery indicated Techtronic Industries, a corporate affiliate of Dirt Devil., is voluntarily participating in an industry program to collect and recycle these batteries at the end of their useful life, when taken out of service in the United States or Canada. The RBRC program provides a convenient alternative to placing used Li-ion batteries into the trash or the municipal waste stream, which may be illegal in your area. Please visit www.rbrc.org/call2recycle/ for information on Li-ion battery recycling and disposal bans/restrictions in your area. Dirt Devil, involvement in this program is part of our commitment to preserving our environment and conserving our natural resources.

NOTICE
A THERMAL PROTECTOR HAS BEEN DESIGNED INTO YOUR CLEANER TO PROTECT IT FROM OVERHEATING. WHEN THE THERMAL PROTECTOR ACTIVATES THE CLEANER WILL STOP RUNNING.
If this happens proceed as follows:
1. Turn cleaner OFF.
2. Empty dirt cup.
3. Inspect the nozzle opening, dirt cup inlet and filter. Clear obstructions if present.
4. When cleaner is turned off and motor cools for 30 minutes, the thermal protector will deactivate and cleaning may continue.
If the thermal protector continues to activate after following the above steps, your cleaner needs servicing.

MAY TAKE UP TO THREE HOURS
INSERT POWERED WAND INTO HANDHELD AND ATTACH THE CARPET NOZZLE.

POP THE DIRT CUP IN AT AN ANGLE, BOTTOM END FIRST UNTIL IT CLICKS IN PLACE.
- OR -
REMOVE CREVICE TOOL FROM END OF HANDLE THEN SLIDE IT IN HANDLE OF THE HANDHELD.

PRESS THE POWER BUTTON ONCE TO TURN ON. PRESS AGAIN FOR BOOST AND A THIRD TIME TO POWER OFF.
PLUG IN AND CHARGE THE UNIT UNTIL ALL THREE LIGHTS ARE OFF, WHICH INDICATES THE UNIT IS FULLY CHARGED.

NOTE: Empty dirt cup after each use or until full. Check the filter to see if it needs cleaned. Refer to page 10 for filter details.
TIP: The power must be OFF for the unit to charge.
PRESS THE POWER SWITCH ONCE TO TURN ON THE HAND VAC IN NORMAL MODE. PRESS AGAIN FOR BOOST MODE.
NOTE: Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge. TIP: For a better experience, fully charge the unit before first use.
NOTE: If the unit is running and the charger
plug is connected to the unit, the unit will shut off to prevent damage to the charger or unit.
PLUG IN CHARGER. POWER MUST BE OFF IN ORDER TO RECHARGE.
AFTER USE, PRESS THE POWER SWITCH A THIRD TIME TO POWER OFF THE HAND VAC.
THE INDICATORS WILL ALL PULSE WHEN CHARGING AND TURN OFF WHEN FULLY CHARGED.
NOTE: The charge indicator will pulse while charging. The charger will be warm while charging.
NOTE: The unit will charge only for as long as needed. It may take up to 3 hours for full charge.

PRESS THE DIRT CUP LID LATCH.
CLICK
REMEMBER TO CLEAN THE FILTER AND CLOSE THE LID UNTIL THE LATCH CLICKS.
DITCH THE DIRT. GIVE IT A SHAKE TO REMOVE ANY DEBRIS.
This would be a good time to check the condition of your filter. Dirty? Check out page 10 for cleaning steps.

INSERT BRUSHROLL BACK IN THE NOZZLE BY ALIGNING BRUSHROLL TO FIT INTO HEXAGON IN THE NOZZLE. PRESS DOWN UNTIL YOU HEAR A CLICK.

FOR VERTICAL CLEANING, ROTATE THE BRUSHROLL WINDOW DOWN UNTIL IT
SNAPS INTO PLACE.
LUBRICATION:
The motor and brushroll are equipped with bearings which contain lifetime lubrication. The addition of lubricant could cause damage. Do not add lubricant to motor or brushroll.
POWERED WAND:
PROVIDES POWER TO CARPET NOZZLE AND EXTENDED REACH FOR ABOVE AND HARD FLOOR CLEANING.

2. PLACE SUPPORT BRACKET ON THE UNIT AND USE PROVIDED DOUBLE SIDED TAPE TO ADHERE THE SUPPORT BRACKET TO THE WALL AT THE HEIGHT OF THE CORDLESS
STICK VAC. APPLY EVEN PRESSURE WHEN ADHERING THE SUPPORT BRACKET TO
THE WALL.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
This Warranty does not cover: use of the product in a commercial operation (such as maid, janitorial and equipment rental services), brushroll, belt, bags, filters, improper maintenance of the product, damage due to misuse, acts of God, nature, vandalism or other acts beyond the control of Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. (“Royal”, “we”), owner’s acts or omissions, use outside the country in which the product was initially purchased and resales of the product by the original owner. This warranty does not cover pick up, delivery, transportation or house calls. This warranty does not apply to products purchased outside the United States, including its territories and possessions, outside a U.S. Military Exchange and outside of Canada. This warranty does not cover products purchased from a party that is not an authorized retailer, dealer, or distributor of Royal products.
OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS
This Warranty is not transferable and may not be assigned. This Warranty shall be governed and construed under the laws of the state of Ohio. The Warranty Period will not be extended by any replacement or repair performed under this Warranty. THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED BY ROYAL.
