Application
The Thermal•Aire Shuttle and Insert have
been designed to solve specic problems
of transport within an individual facility or
for satellite feeding, far from the central
tray assembly unit. Individual patient
trays are assembled and loaded into the
Insert, which is light and compact but
as durable as the standard Thermal•Aire
cart. Once delivered to the retherm
location the Insert is effortlessly loaded
into the Shuttle, which is directly
connected to the Thermal•Aire Docking
Station. The Insert and Shuttle now
function as a regular convection cart.
After retherm the Insert and Shuttle can
be used together, with all the benets of
long term insulation, or the Insert can be
simply removed and utilized independently
for specic service needs.
Design: Unlike other 3-Component
systems (Retherm Unit, Insert and Cart)
that require additional space for cart
storage during the retherm process the
Thermal•Aire Insert and Shuttle achieves
over 25% savings in operational space
compared with other systems.
Flexibility: Service, simplicity and
exibility of application. Operations
where more than a double complement
of carts is required make the Shuttle/
Insert an ideal choice, both functionally
and economically. This system is equally
practical at a single site, where restriction
on space are at a premium. The Insert
and Shuttle offer an alternative choice
to prime feeding.
Construction
Thermal•Aire Insert: The insert has
the same internal structure as the
Thermal•Aire cart: insulating middle
wall and side panels with guides to
accommodate the trays which are xed
onto a solid stainless steel 304 tubular
frame. For tray safety during transport
and service additional stainless steel
structures separates the two columns of
trays in order to prevent accidental
transfers. The insert is easily maneuverable
with a removable tubular handlebar and
tted with four 4” (10cm), non-marking
casters, two xed and two swivel with
brakes.
Thermal•Aire Shuttle: The shuttle has
the same external characteristics as
the Thermal•Aire Cart, without the xed
tray structure. The shuttle features a
tough stainless steel sub-frame tted
with comparable side panels, a solid
non-marking rotomoulded bumper and
exceptional insulation qualities and
rounded nished corners to facilitate
high levels of sanitation and hygiene.
As with it’s counterpart, the Thermal•Aire
Cart, the Shuttle is tted with four 6”
(15cm) casters, two xed and two swivel.
