Important: Read all of the following instructions before proceeding. If any
questions or problems arise, you may refer them directly to us.
Please Note:
The Pre-B-1 was designed to function properly without
a metal plate attached to the underside. We do not recommend
installing such a plate on this pickup because it may cause some
treble loss and microphonic feedback. However, the plate was
responsible for grounding the bridge assembly, which is still important
to maintain. To accomplish this grounding, run a wire from the
common ground on the volume pot thru to the treble pickup hole and
strip 1-2 inches of insulation off the wire. Place the bare end between
the bridge and guitar body so it is securely held down when the
bridge is screwed back on the guitar.
