The Digital Juice Follow Focus PRO
is an essential accessory for any
professional DSLR camera setup,
allowing for quick and accurate
focusing with minimal lens shake. It
mounts to industry standard 15mm
rails and is compatible with a wide
variety of lenses, cameras, and
shoulder rigs.

The Follow Focus PRO has
a switchable lens gear (1) to
accommodate both long and short
lenses. It comes with one lens gear
belt (2) and has a wet erase type
China Wheel (3) so that you can get
repeatable, accurate focus pulls.

Adjusting and mounting the Follow
Focus PRO is easy. There is no need
to remove any other accessories.
Simply loosen the black thumb-screw
opposite the focus wheel (4) and
snap the follow focus onto your rig.
The Follow Focus PRO also features
adjustable A-B hard stops (5) to

protect your lens from overcranking.

Using the Follow Focus PRO

Mounting the Follow Focus PRO to your Camera Rig:

Before attaching the Follow Focus PRO unit to your rig, you should first mount
your lens gear belt around the focus wheel on your lens. To do so, loosen the
thumbscrew on the lens gear belt (6) until the teeth of the gear slide through
the clasp. Next, slide the belt around the focus wheel on your lens (7), pull it
snug and then tighten the thumbscrew.

Once the lens gear belt is attached, you can mount the Follow Focus PRO to
your rig. To do this, loosen the black knob (4) opposite the focus wheel which
will loosen the clamps, allowing you to snap the focus assembly onto your
camera rig (8). Your goal is to mount the unit on the rails so that the drive
gear meets the teeth of the lens gear belt. To finetune the distance of the focus
wheel and drive gear from the lens, loosen the black knob on the bottom of the
rail mount (9). When you have properly mated the teeth on the drive gear and
the lens belt, tighten the black knob on the bottom of the rail mount to lock the
unit in place (10). Do not press the gears together
too tightly as you could cause damage to your
equipment or to the follow focus unit.

Using the A-B Adjustable Hard Stops:

To use the A-B adjustable hard stops on your Follow Focus PRO, first loosen
both blue thumb-screws (11). Next, turn the focus wheel in the desired
direction until you have reached the limit of your lens’ focus ring or the desired
stopping point and tighten the thumbscrew that is resting against the focus
indicator (12). Then, turn the focus wheel in the opposite direction to the
desired stopping point and tighten the second thumbscrew (13).

Moving the Gear Drive:

The Digital Juice Follow Focus PRO allows you to switch the gear drive to
the front or back side of the follow focus unit. To do this, you can simply pull
the lens gear straight, away from the body of the follow focus (14). When
reinstalling the lens gear (15), notice the notched design and be sure to match
the notch in the lens gear shaft with the slot in the receiver hole.

Using the China Wheel:

The Digital Juice Follow Focus PRO comes with a wet-erase China Wheel for
marking focus points. Simply move the focus wheel to the desired location
and use a wet-erase marker to make a mark for that focus point on the China
Wheel (16). (Caution: Only use wet erase type markers. Use of any other type

of marking device will void warranty and leave a permanent mark.)
