Set the multimeter to read resistance (0hms).e. Detach sensor wiring from main wire harness, and place test leads inside sensor connector.f. With the magnet rotated away from the sensor, the multimeter should read infi nite resistance.g. With the magnet rotated adjacent to the sensor, the multimeter should read close to 0 Ohms. h.
Replacing the RPM sensor 2.
Remove the original RPM sensor by unscrewing and unplugging it from the wire harness.a. Install the new RPM sensor by screwing in place and plugging in it to the wire harness.b. Be sure to place the sensor close to the pulley magnet while making sure that no physical con-c. tact occurs (approx. 6/16 inch).
