AM/FM/DAB tuner with highly-sensitive reception performance
The TU-1800DAB is an AM/FM stereo tuner featuring highly sensitive reception performance and detailed, clear sound even in crowded urban areas. And the TU-1800DAB features a Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) tuner. DAB radio programs with the sonic quality of a CD, free of distortion, can be received through a included antenna. And also this model features 2-line dot matrix display on the front panel to display the station name, program type, date, time and other information being broadcast from the DAB station.
High Performance Front End
In order to faithfully receive the radio waves transmitted from the broadcast station, and also to ensure that no high-frequency noise enters the audio circuitry, the TU-1800DAB is equipped with a high performance Front End that suppresses interference among the blocks inside the tuner. This design produces a clear, highly listenable sound with minimal noise.

DAB Tuner
The TU-1800DAB features a Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) tuner as well as the conventional analog FM/AM tuner. DAB radio programs with the sonic quality of a CD, free of distortion, can be received through a small non-directional antenna. With the TU-1800DAB, it is also possible to automatically scan and pre-set DAB stations. The display on the front panel contains two parts, enabling it to display the station name, program type, date, time and other information being broadcast from the DAB station. Of course, the station's frequency and audio format are also displayed.
RDS Radio Data System Functions
The TU-1800DAB provides a rich variety of RDS functions and is equipped with a Radio Text function that takes maximum advantage of the various Radio Data System (RDS) services. The name of the musical selection currently being heard, messages, and any other text date that is broadcast by stations providing RDS services can be read on the tuner’s display at up to 16 characters at a time.
