The DVM-2845CI is a 5-disc DVD changer with an HDMI output terminal supporting high picture quality 1080p combined with the renowned Faroudja Interlace/Progressive (I/P) converter and a wealth of features designed for the age of high-definition video. Not only does the DVM-2845CI play DVD-Video discs, it also plays high sound quality DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD discs. HDMI digital output terminal supporting 1080p scaling
The DVM-2845CI is equipped with a high-performance HDMI digital video output terminal. Since it also has a highly accurate video scaling function capable of 1080p output, the maximum specification for HDMI, the DVM-2845CI can output the high­definition video signal that suits the monitor being used. Multi-channel digital audio output is also possible through the HDMI interface (*1), allowing a single cable to be used for both video and audio digital transmission. In addition, support for the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) system allows digital video connection of a high-definition display (*2).
High-performance Faroudja I/P converter
The DVM-2845CI uses a highly-reliable Faroudja I/P converter that supports playback of high picture quality Progressive video. Video material, film material, and sources that combine both video and film material are very capably detected and processed. Highly precise DCDi technology is used to smooth out the jaggies that are visible when video material is I/P converted.
I/P detection mode with manual operation capability
The DVM-2845CI includes an I/P Detection mode that detects and processes film and video material with high precision when I/P converting DVD video sources. This mode uses motion detection to accurately detect film and video material, and the ability to manually select the detection mode allows the user to achieve the desired Progressive playback for a variety of discs.
High-speed, high-accuracy 11-bit, 216-MHz video DAC
To faithfully reproduce the original video images, the DVM-2845CI is equipped with a highly accurate 11-bit, 216-MHz video DAC that is amply capable of D/A converting massive volumes of digital video information. This DAC faithfully reproduces with utmost clarity the minute details of high-definition images.
A wealth of picture quality adjustment modes
Adjustments in 12 stages are possible for 5 items: Contrast, Brightness, Color, Gamma Correction, and Sharpness.
Design for high sound quality including 24-bit, 192 kHz D/A converter
The DVM-2845CI has a 24-bit, 192-kHz D/A converter featuring superior dynamic range, S/N ratio, and distortion characteristics. The audio circuitry that includes the DAC is endowed with Denon's digital audio technology renowned for its exceptional sound quality, achieving superior sonic results even when playing conventional CDs.
Bass management feature for home theater environments
Bass management allows a variety of settings for the home theater such as speaker configuration and delay time, accommodating a wide range of speaker placements.
GUI (Graphical User Interface) for easier operation
Support for a wide variety of discs, including DVD-RW VR mode
DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and CD-R/RW discs can also be played on the DVM-2845CI, as well as DVD-RW discs recorded in VR mode. MP3, WMA, and JPEG files on CD-R/RW discs can be played, too, thanks to the DVM-2845CI's support for PC formats (*3).

The DVM-2845CI's wealth of DVD functions includes playback functions that the user can select to enjoy desired information, such as multi sound, captions, or video angle, that is recorded on DVD discs. Another useful function is 2x and 4x video zoom.
A Wealth of Playback Functions
The DVM-2845CI includes a wide variety of playback functions, such as Resume Play, for returning to the Pause position on the disc after the playback was restarted; Slow Play; Repeated Play (A-B, Chapter, Track, Disc); Random Play and Program Play.
