FUNDAMENTAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Danger of electric shock!
This is an electrical appliance and may cause electrical shocks.
You should therefore follow these safety warnings:
• Never touch the appliance with damp hands.
• Never use the appliance with bare or wet feet.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Models with cable wind button (A7): Do not pull the
power cable out beyond the point indicated by the red
mark. The yellow mark before the red mark indicates that
the cable is about to run out.
• Never unplug the appliance by pulling the power cable or
the appliance itself.
• If the socket and power cable plug are incompatible, the
socket should be changed for a suitable type by a qualied professional. Adapters, multiple sockets or extensions
should not be used.
To ll or top up with water, turn the ironing

from the mains.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or the manufacturer’s customer services in
order to avoid all risk.
• Before cleaning or servicing, disconnect the appliance by
unplugging from the mains.
• Before using the appliance, check that the mains
supply voltage corresponds to the voltage indicated on the rating plate. Connect the appliance to an
eciently earthed power supply and sockets with a
minimum current rating of 10 A only.

The iron must not be left unattended while
it is connected to the mains.
When power is on or when cooling down,
keep the appliance out of reach of children
under eight years old.
• During use, the steam generator should not be moved.
• IMPORTANT: the tube connecting the iron and steam
generator may become hot.
• All contact between the hot base and cables must be rigorously avoided.

• The rst time you use the appliance, after removing the
packaging, make sure the appliance is complete and undamaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact
qualied personnel only. Remove the protection from the
soleplate.
• Dispose of the plastic bag with care as it represents a hazard for children.
This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
NEVER rest the iron on the case of the appliance
when the iron rest is removed.
• Use the removable iron rest on an ironing board.
• NEVER use the iron rest on a table. The heat could ruin the
surface of the table!
The iron must be used and rested on a stable
heat-resistant surface.
When placing the iron on its stand, ensure
that the surface on which the stand is placed
is stable.
• NEVER store the iron in a vertical position!
The iron is not to be used if it has been
dropped, if there are visible signs of damage
or if it is leaking.

What water to use
The appliance works with normal tap water.
Important!
In case of very hard water (hardness above 27°F) we suggest
using demineralised water diluted with 50% tap water. Never
use demineralised water on its own.
Never use chemical substances or detergents (e.g.
perfumed water, essences, descaling solution, etc.).
Do not use mineral or other types of water (such as
rainwater or water for batteries or air conditioners
etc.).
Filling the reservoir
Make sure the cable is unplugged from the mains socket. Release the reservoir (g. 1) and remove;
• Release the reservoir (g. 1) and remove;
• Fill the reservoir, taking care not to exceed the MAX level
marked on the reservoir (g. 2);
• Reinsert the reservoir fully (g. 3);
• Models with cable wind button: extract the cable as
far as the yellow mark (g. 4). The cable must be extracted when the appliance is plugged into the mains power
supply.
• Models without cable wind button: extract the cable
completely (g. 4).
• Plug the appliance into a mains socket.
Please note:
The rst time you use the appliance, the steam generator is
empty.
When lling the steam generator for the rst time, it will take
longer to heat up as the air must be eliminated from the steam
generator and replaced by the water.
During lling/heating it is normal for the pump to make a noise.
The appliance will also run out of water much more quickly than
with subsequent lls.
Operation
• Press the button (g. 5). The appliance is in OPTIMAL
STEAM mode and the light on the button and the light on
the iron come on. The light ashes on the control
panel.
• When the light comes on steadily, the appliance is
ready to use.
• To deliver steam, press the steam button B2 (g. 6).
• To use EXTRA STEAM, press the button. When the
light comes on steadily, EXTRA STEAM is active. To go back
to OPTIMAL STEAM, press the button again.
• NEVER rest the iron in a vertical position while ironing.
