ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
- Before plugging into the mains, make sure the voltage of your mains supply corresponds to the
value in Volts indicated on the appliance.
- Make sure the mains socket is rated at 10/16 Amps.
- THIS APPLIANCE COMPLIES WITH DIRECTIVE 89/336/EEC AND D.M. 476/92 ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY.
INSTALLATION
The appliance is designed for portable use only.
OPERATION AND USE
Models with function selector and thermostat
- Summer mode (ventilation only): turn the thermostat clockwise as far as it will go to the
/6 position.
- Low power operation: turn the function selector to position 1.
- High power operation: turn the function selector to position 2.
- Switching off: turn the function selector to the ” ● “ position and the thermostat knob to the
position, then unplug from the mains.
Setting the thermostat:
When the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the right-hand thermostat knob (if fitted)
slowly anti-clockwise until the appliance goes off and no further. The thermostat will then keep room
temperature at the selected level automatically.
FROST PREVENTION CYCLE
Turn the left-hand knob to position 2, then turn the right-hand thermostat knob to the position.
The appliance is set to maintain a temperature of about 5°C in the room with minimum energy consumption.
Models with switch
- Heating at low power: press the
“-“ switch (the red zone is visible on the switch).
- Heating at high power: press both switches (the red zone is visible on the switches).
- Turning the appliance off: turn off both switches.
You should always unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use.
Models with thermostat only
To turn the appliance on, turn the knob clockwise as far as it will go to maximum position. To turn the
appliance off completely, turn the knob to the minimum position, then unplug from the mains.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always unplug the heater from the mains socket before cleaning.
- Clean the air intake and outlet grilles frequently
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents.
IMPORTANT
- Do not use this heater near showers, bathtubs, sinks, swimming pools, etc.
- Always use the heater in an upright position.
- Do not use the heater to dry laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (danger of
overheating).
- The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from furniture or other objects.
- When the appliance is used as a portable heater, do not place it close to walls, furniture, curtains
etc.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- The appliance must not be placed immediately under a fixed power socket.
- Do not cover the appliance when in operation as this could cause overheating and a fire risk.
- Do not use the appliance in rooms with a floor area of less than 4 m
2
.
The heater is fitted with a safety device which switches the heater off in case of accidental
overheating (eg. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all). To
reset, unplug the appliance from the mains socket for a few minutes, remove the cause of overheating then plug in again.
Important: Never under any circumstances cover the appliance during operation as this
would lead to dangerous overheating of the appliance itself.
